The stones for horde sunfire are south of the cave, not north.

Do the deathskips still work?
Get the 2 hour 20% move speed boon from darn. Take advantage of the free wrath rune, just kill mobs, no questing. Much more boring but it is extremely faster.

I even got a summon to arathi, and it's still a pain just to get to the cave

you aren't getting thru hillsbrad as a LVL one with out a lot of luck
Was it hell? Yes, yes it was... lmao! But it DID only take me one hour. I literally set a timer.
1-20 sure but at 20 with even ok gear cat + mangle + savage roar is alot quicker and less mind numbing
