Join us as we venture into the remote wilderness of Alaska on the Stampede Trail, a historic trail known for its challenging terrain and spectacular views. We drive through the rugged landscape, carefully navigating steep inclines, rocky terrain, and deep river crossings.
Along the way, we experience the beauty of the wilderness, don't encounter wildlife such as moose, bear, and caribou, and explore the Stampede Trail.
As we reach the end of the trail, we feel a sense of accomplishment and appreciation for the natural beauty of the area. We reflect on the journey and the significance of the trail, including the story of Alexander Supertramp, who met his demise in this very location.
We also enjoy a nice dinner with Sven and Caroline, who shares his experiences with sled races in Germany.
Join us in this adventure as we conquer the treacherous Stampede Trail and immerse ourselves in the breathtaking wilderness of Alaska.

Greetings from Fairbanks, and Nice job! I’ve driven the Stampede trail numerous times in my Jeep. Much of the “old road” is is still there from when there was a chromoly mine, hence the good-ish gravel base I’m glad you didn’t try to cross the Teklanika river as it can change quickly. Thanks for visiting the interior and I hope you had an amazing adventure while here.
Thank you for your comment. We had an amazing time in Alaska and the Stampede trail remains a highlight of our trip for sure!

Seems like a nice trail. On the ToDo list now 😃.
It was a lot of fun for sure!
You can drive the bulk of it in 2 wheel drive as the old gravel “road” is still there. It’s one of my favorite trails here in the interior. In Denali, there’s a tour company that uses Jeeps to drive about 1/2 the trail if you don’t want to use your own rig. I have a Jeep Liberty and I’ve had no issues driving it.

Wonderful wilderness, well done Ferenc and Evelin!
😊 Merci Francoise

Nice episode. Suggest working on soundtrack for future episodes. A bit overwhelming bass track.
Thanks for the comment. Is it too loud or just simply the bass is too much?
@@OverlandSite Rock music in the first half of episode was overall too loud and the bass caused my woofer to vibrate. Hopefully a small adjustment. Enjoy your channel!
@@bobhewlett3633 thanks! Unfortunately i can’t change it once it’s uploaded but i will pay more attention to this when editing the next episodes. Hello from Honduras!
@@OverlandSite Understood. Looking forward to seeing episodes from warmer climates. Travel safe.
You didn't get to the bus site or the mine
No we dirn’t get all the way there, but went in quite a fair bit. You might have seen that we had a flat tire one hour into the trail
