    This video was awesome. I just bought a new Harley and I'm looking for a spot to get work done. I cant wait to change out my stock cam. I would like some more power along with that chop/lope sound. I do live in the area and will be checking these guys out. Cant wait for warmer weather.

    I have the S&S 465 Camchest in my 107 RoadKing Special and really like it ! it's paired with S&S air cleaner, Screamin Eagle Race tuner, decatted OEM header, and V&H Eliminator 400.

    This is very interesting, i've got a 2019 Street Bob with a S&S 124 kit and i've been researching online like crazy to find out what cam to put in my bike. I also got my old 2009 Street Bob Dyna and i want to do something fun with as well. This is great stuff, thank you!

      It’s got a crazy lope and rips 2800-5500. More of a midrange cam

    Still unsure weather to put a 465 reaper/s&s in my 117 bagger, but also interested in the new cr480mt cam
    Last thing i want is it to feel laggy and jerky at low rpm like the s&s 475 does, i have a gut feeling the 30/30 would be the same in low rpm in a 117 bagger.. i like smooth torque that comes early and strong
    What would you suggest for the 117 mike?
    Too many choices and an expensive exercise😅

  • @palmettolowlife1996

    Mike, if you had a low rider s SE 122 with 6.2 injectors, hpi 62 mm throttle body and manifold with Bassani 2/1 exhaust would you put a 30/30 in it or an f35a cam and valve springs ?
    I’m really curious how the f35a would perform and if it would be worth the extra cost in labor and parts.
    I am definitely putting a 30/30 in my road glide and still indecisive about my fxlrs.

    Think about what rpm you are at when you are doing 35, 50 and 75 mph, these are the speeds you are at most of the time, when you have a torque cam the power is right there, anyone who rides at 4 to 5 grand all day must be in second or third gear most of the day...😅😅

    • @MRider24900
      @MRider24900 Před 7 měsíci

      For some like you maybe even in 1st gear lol. For others like myself (which is what Mike’s referring to on the video), i’ve done 700 mile days where 90% of cruising speed down the highway was between 120-130. That’s a little above 5k rpm on 6th gear. We do exist. You just don’t know about it.

    Question. I know it depends where you are. I’m in Massachusetts. Just wondering about how much a cam upgrade would cost. If you went full upgrade oil pump, cam plate, lifters, etc.

    • @datkinso30
      @datkinso30 Před 7 měsíci

      If you are looking to replace the whole CAM-Chest, can run run you upwards of $3k (depending on the manufacturer / gears vs chain / DIY or pay mech).
      About a yr ago I upgraded my 14 FLHTK' CAM-Chest from stock to S&S 551CZ kit (came with everything needed). That cost $1900 Total ($1700 parts / $200 labor).
      Will be doing mt 15 FLHR next month, same S&S kit with an MR103 CAM = $1900 (Inflation)!
      Shop around, do your research, find the best CAM for your riding style, (why get a CAM that comes on at 4k RPM, when you rarely go above 3800 RPM).
      Stay away from the cheaper kits or purchase in pieces - both will cost you sooner or later.

    When you are talking HD's....Its all about Torque Torque Torque....Remember when your doing 80 in 6th gear and a Torque Cam makes power up to 4500 to 5K rpm's....Your going WAY over 100mph....
