I often find myself yelling at the video that you need to be conditioning the wood prior to staining. Of all of the steps, this seems to be the single-most skipped process. Can I wipe down with lint free rags instead of paper towels? So I can reuse them after washing & tossing in the dryer? Is it ok to trying DIY de-greasing product such as vinegar, some water and DAWN dish detergent? I am trying to use a friendly Eco and reusable too which saves the money and harming the environment.
