Pfft, at that 11:27 that was more than just a blown tire, that was the ENTIRE WHEEL! The bus was fine cuz there was already popped tires lol
YBR, keep the engine in neutral!!! Otherwise your wheels will lock up.
They don't lock up because it's an automatic transmission (I've also tested it)

Ok this is freaky, I was falling asleep last night and randomly thought about your 300mph video, now, I haven’t watched your channel in probably a year as I had to focus on school. I found the video and watched it. Then the next day you upload a 400mph video and it gets recommended to me. I know it sounds like I’m making it up but I’m not, pls believe

You should use airspeed as opposed to the tachometer.

Nvm, YBR said he wanted to use "the real speedometer" at the end of the video. I don't know why he thinks so, but the tachometer doesn't actually show the real speed when going so fast
JBL Bass Tester Ye speedometer shows the wheelspeed which can be inaccurate at times especially when they start locking up, air speed is generally more accurate as to raw speed, especially at high high speeds like 400mph

Tip for getting the most speed out of the hero:
Use the engine alone to get as fast as it will take you, then shift to N then activate thrusters. The thrusters provide consistent thrust, regardless of your starting speed, so might as well give them a solid head start so they don't waste fuel getting to 80mph, that the engine alone could do.
Leaving the transmission in D causes the already rev limited engine to act as an engine brake. Also when the engine blows, the wheels are still connected to the transmission, further retarding your acceleration.
It's like pushing a stalled car in drive. It can still move because of the fluid transmission. But it's more resistant to motion than if it were in neutral.

Keeping the busses in drive allowed for the resistance of the engine to slow the busses down while you accelerate. If you put all the busses in neutral beforehand you can probably get this done with 5 maybe even 4 busses

Besides changing the transmission gears, you could also put the race final drive in and put in a very long gear ratio

what this is doing the same as in ice road truckers on the Alaskan slope. it is called push trucking, and they do that when a load is too heavy to be pulled up the slope, so the hook up two trucks behind the main truck, the main truck steers, while the two other trucks provide power

You can get the moonhawk to 400mph+ if you change the differential gearing i just tried and got 410mph at which point the front wheels just detach

you need to scoot the final drive ratio down (taller) not just the top gears ratio to get more out of the transmission in the moonhawk (or barsto idk)

Fact: I currently hold the world record for slowest vehicle in BeamNG. I caused physics to crash and then vehicles involved in the physics crash had their speedometers be stuck at -Infinity
I've sorta did that once, I was driving the ultimate pessima and I got stuck in a ditch and floored it and launched my car into the sky at breakneck speeds. The speedo read infinity mph, and was stuck like that till abit later, it slowly descended from inf to 1000 then quickly went back to whatever speed I was currently going

if u turn off the engines, you wont have to push against them until they explode. you will have 100% acceleration the whole way instead of wasting fuel for that first part. just a thought

I'm pretty sure it's stock, but isn't there the Adjustable Race Differential? Which you can use to adjust the final drive ratio to something like 0.25:1 , that along side the 0.5 6th gear in the moonhawk should be great

Some of the vehicles lock up when the engine explodes in drive. I'm not sure if this affects the bus but you could try it in neutral next time maybe.

2 you go faster because the wheels arent engaged in a gear and are free spinning.

Disproven YBR, I just did the same thing with three buses. Totally stripped down, earth gravity, differences: I took out the engines which way an extra 2 tons (per bus) including feul + they slow the bus down once they pass red-line until they explode. I kept the roof, windows, doors, and body panels for stability and aerodynamics. I also took off the paint. (Think of how many pounds per gallon of paint is on that bus.) Think about it YBR both didn't Totally strip down the bus, and also stripped the bus too much at the same time. No offense YBR you have great content but I felt I could do better and I won three buses and 2/4 the distance. Again YBR no offense, you have great content love you bro (no homo)🤍💯

the 300mph challenge inspired me to build a 300mph vanilla car in automation...
You can get to 400mph with only one vehicle and no rockets, you just have to put taller drag tires and lower the differential ratio along with the 6 speed transmission gear ratio on the moonhawk. also raise the rpm limit. It will overheat if the rpm gets too high for too long or if you have the body still on. Once you hit 400 the wheels fly off so my 500mph run will need a new strategy
Do another video with the big 45 degree ramp but use two ramps end to end making a massive bowl. Then you can start at the top and drive down and gain speed for the next ramp
I've managed to break 300mph (with the 300mph video restrictions) with a Covet, but *400MPH?!*

My PR is 407mph in a bolide w/ no assistance. I thought that was the fastest a stock vehicle could go till now.
It's probably not gonna get any faster, but I'd be curious to see how this set up works with something lighter, like the Drag Moonhawk. Not, like, staging a bunch of Monnhawks; just one drag Moonhawk getting boosted by a bunch of Hero buses.
He could use Race Adjustable final drive... 2:1 vs whatever is the defualt in the Drag config
There is another way :
1. Increase camera speed
2. Open node grabber
3. Pull it as fast as possible!
(Note that you need to use air speedometer)

I recently reached over 500 km/h with a completely stripped D-Series with the 6l turbo diesel (in reverse for stability) until the transmission blew up

What how??? Most i was able to get on a d series 359km/h. The only thing i can optimize at that point is wheel configuration.

Wouldn't it be better to set all the buses to accelerate with the engines first?
Because then you would just turn on the rockets once all the buses reach top speed with the engine
And that way you wouldn't have to remove parts
