I don't know if I missed it in the video, but you can turn on counter measures on the Me262 and the missiles will miss the plane as long as the counter measures are on. Pretty cool feature.
CIWS is actually intended to shoot down missiles moreso than planes. Naturally, it could do planes, but the system is optimized towards missile defense.

The mk 2 weapon has 11 Heat-seeking missiles. Heat seeking means that the missile locks on the enemy plane and remember about the first plane used up against the missile, you had it at full speed so the plane was dumping fuel and the fuel blasts out of the back of the plane as a fiery orange stream called exhaust stream and it acts like a heat signature for the rocket.

Although it is actually useless because the planes and destroyers protecting the ship ussually destroying the incoming threats... They were built near the end of the second world war to defend against the Kamikaze threats... Now, it is used to blow up on-coming missiles, they come in 40mm and 20mm...
