  • On this video I look at the Epiphone 59 Limited Edition Les Paul. What it comes stock with and what I have done to tweek it for Led Repplica.
This is a great bang for your buck guitar and I was seriously impressed by how well it played after I got it setup.

After watching this video a billion times I realised that I probably should have reviewed the guitar with the Burst bucker 3 in the bridge position, but I wanted to change it for the show we did as I was not that satisfied with the 3 that came stock. I have swapped out the 498T for a Seymour Duncan SH 5 which is quite hot but sounds awesome and is a nice pairing with the Burst bucker 2 in the neck, which is surprisingly loud!

Epiphone makes killer budget-friendly Les Pauls…even better on the used market. Great Page style riffing! Myself, I’ve an older R7 as my one and only Les Paul and it rips.

Great review, great playing and an awesome overview of the guitar. Also big reps to Warren! Amazing tech.

I bought the very same guitar changed the Malory caps to orange drop and put on a roller bridge for tuning issues now is perfect

Great playing, both guitars sound great. This is just my opinion but I think the Gibson pickups come closer to the Jimmy Page tone. I have both Seymour Duncan and Gibson pickups love them both

If you ever get chance, pick up a 1989 MIK Epi Les Paul. Long neck tennon, same headstock, decent woods. They only made them for one year and they are fantastic. Waiting for a set of Burstbucker Pro's to arrive for mine.

Really nice. I think I'm going to wait it out for Epiphone to swop back to rosewood fretboards. I think these are still Indian Laurel. But I'm thinking, with Fender switching, Epiphone will soon start listening to people who aren't a fan of Indian Laurel. I'd prefer even if they went to Pau Ferro, especially if they could stain it nicely to look more like Rosewood. Because, I have a Vintera Strat with Pau Ferro fretboard, and I like it.

Great playing ! The epiphone pickups have almost a p90 or single coil type tone
