Last summer I took some time off to record some sirens. I don’t usually do this so I figured why not pull an Oldham/Louisville duo.
This iconic set of sirens are located behind the La Grange police station. The 3T22 is used for tornadoes. The Darley is a mystery. Maybe it’s a backup siren, a fire siren, or maybe it’s been totally abandoned. Either way, it’s been on my bucket list for awhile now, so I’m glad to finally check these off. While setting up, I glanced to my side and thought I saw someone run past with a tripod. Then I saw another and more. I walked down the alley to find out the whole Cincy crew and others were here too. It was definitely a nice surprise to see everyone again made even better by a successful siren test.
Sirens in Oldham County are tested on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30am.

this is one of the best sounding 3T22s I've heard in a while
Darley Champion: nope I’m not sounding
3t22a: ughh whatever I’ll do it instead
Very awesome Video Brandon, keep up the great work!!
Best video of it yet. Casually great video!
It was good seeing you man! Can’t wait for your next video from that day
Amazing video!
Now that’s epic!
Wouldn't surprise me much at all if that Darley is just AIP. Beautiful shots!
that was quite the wind up echo
Great sound
Amazingly healthy! Love it!
I’ve personally serviced this 3T22… the Darley is abandoned. It belonged to the fire department as a fire siren before the 3T22 was put in. The controls are still in the building for it but they’re all disconnected.
There is a roached Darley champion next to a thunderbolt 1003a in Robbins Illinois at the fire dept.
DARLEY CHAMPION NEXT TO IT!
epic!
My guy is back at it! (i sent you a thing on your IG in regards to your TN Siren Map. (it is yours right?))
Looks like Wetumpka, AL Setup.
Wonder why that Darley is still there
Hi!
That Darley tho
I like your intro.
Sounds quite a bit like the 2T22 i took video of back in November of 2009.
darley interrupted by 3t22
Hi DSRX100! I just wanted to ask: how do you add those things in the bottom left corner when the siren is activating?
he doesn’t know
@@thesouthcarolinasirenboy2905 what do you mean if he is the one who edited the video.
I have a feeling like a 3T22s are actually side ways i forgot there name but basically a carter with the air tubes on the side (sorry haven't been to sirens in ages) but its that with horns and Little hat (i think earlier i meant dampeners idk)
CS8?
@@J19_vlogger74 yeah
any of these in michigan?
Yes. I’ve Seen Many when I Lived in Michigan. They Have 2T22s and 3T22s. And they Also Have Darley Champions.
3t22 2t22?
3T22, it Has Solenoids/Dampers.
Amazing video!
