I can't believe Tekken 8 is close to launching. Thank you for this entire Tekken recap. It's a nice trip down memory lane until Tekken 8 this week.

I’m surprised that you didn’t mention how Tekken 7 was a send off not only to Heihachi ,but to his voice actor, who sadly ended his life before the game went into production. Heihachi’s dialogue was done with stock voice recordings from throughout the series. That was what made Heihachi’s story ending in Tekken 7 become so emotional.

Technically, Gon is the first crossover character, but Akuma is the first one with story relevance.

I think at some point, the Pakistani Tekken FGC was dubbed the Hidden Sand Village. So cool that they finally showed up and shook the foundations.

Tekken 7 saved me from spiraling after a tough break up. I needed something new to focus my attention on and a friend offered I try the game with him. I got into it a lot and it really saved me I feel. It also got me motivated to go to the gym again because I just NEED to be as built as King you dont understand I NEED it. Tekken 7 is the GOAT

  • @ErrrrkTheOdd

believe it or not, tekken actually was the first namco fighting game (that i'm aware of) series to get a crossover character, not soulcalibur. In the playstation version of tekken 3 there's a guest character in the form of gon, who i think is a manga character.

  • @FreudianSlip247

The slow mo offscreen raging demon video gets me to this day 😂

  • @tariqkhan7696

In Pakistan Tekken exploded from Tekken 3. Tekken 3 was so advanced for its time, just look at its character design and it was released in 1996 and the competitive gameplay etc etc.

  • @science007-

Damn this made me emotional. The transition from the ending statement to “A fight is about who’s left standing. Nothing else.” really got me. This was a fantastic legacy. I still remember Evo 2017 being my first Evo BECAUSE of Tekken 7. I still talk and play with people I met there to this day. To whoever you are on the other side reading this, never give up on fighting games.

  • @ThorgisArcade

Great editing on this episode, shout out to your editor for getting all these clips together and working them together. Makes the video even more informative.

  • @w21aaaaa

Slow-mo zooms is one of the best things ever added to the series.

The Boss Rage moment with Jack charging up and punch the absolute fuck out of them is one of my favorites ever

    I love SFV.

  • @thechampuru

I was waiting for you to post this for one main reason. One of my really good friend's who passed away back when this first released, he got me back into Tekken and it was with Tekken 7. He was like a brother to me. I'll never forget him. We trained together and he taught me so much. I'm a better player now because of him and for the rest of my life, I will buy every Tekken that comes out, no matter what!

  • @mmustafamalik84

As a Pakistani following you on youtube as early as street fighter 4 it gives me so much joy to see you talking about Pakitani tekkens rise to stardome

  • @squigglesthemushroom200

Ahhh why the fuck am I crying. I'm soo glad Tekken is doing well and we can share such great stores and memories

  • @Saibanaito

So to add to this "Tekken 7 is a game for the world. I live in Denmark. Everywhere you went it was mostly exclusively Tekken or Soul Calibur everyone had.

  • @Latino_Burrito

This dude really wanted to grind all the tekken games before 8😂

  • @melvinshine9841

Tekken 7 will forever hold a special place in my heart. I've liked fighting games, Tekken especially, since I was a kid, but I was button mashing garbage at them. Tekken 7 was the first time I made a dedicated effort to truly learn how to play, and while I still can't kbd or Electric to save my life after 6+ years and hundreds of thousands of hours, I still achieved things I never thought I could. I got good. I'm not a tourny level player by any stretch, and my ranked win rate is barely 52%, but I'm still proud of that when I consider how little I knew or could do when I started.
