CHINESE Medicine. or TCM. google books, best if you know how to read Chinese, on Mushroom. Don't use the keyword 'Mushroom' in Chinese to dig for information, they use a different keyword for medicinal mushroom.
But the knowledge of mushroom and other herbs by the Chinese span millennial (thousands of years). Paul Stamets is a good man, but let's not get too carried away, he's not another Jesus Christ to save the world. He's just a dude who loved to try out mushrooms to go into the Multiverse.
Chinese Medicine. Look into it. The Chinese have studied extensively and 'scientifically' (yes, while your medieval doctors were bleeding out people to cure people, the Chinese were already using mushrooms to cure people).

I do know quite a bit at this point, Essiac etc. My case worker told me a couple months ago that I had no color and looked like I was on the way out...she now says my colors back and minds sharper and just look much more alive, the difference being day and night, thanks to the several things I'm taking from diligent research. But an unfortunate part of it is the tumor on the damaged spine area that made me a paraplegic 5 months ago. If I can eradicate the cancer, taking that tumor out, my spine will be decompressed and with diligent work would have a good shot at walking again. I refused chemo and stopped hormonal shots after the second month, and refused all meds, with my health improving, but still seeking that cure. Thanks very much Pam for the group, I appreciate it and will join it. Are you in it? Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Water comes from the sky. Dry land farming. The wind ever blows. Vegetation is sparce so I have a hard time getting enough organic matter to mulch plants. Water is a treasure. City folk don't understand a weekly shower/bath (whether you need it or not). Every drop a blessing! Most people haul water. It doesn't get piped in except in the little town of six-hundred people.

People NEED TOO START DOING THIS, EVERYBODY INVOLVED in every part of life needs to get on board with this. I have a feeling that this is the answer we ALL have been looking for!!!! Even tho the Chinese have basically perfected this with mushrooms, every body in every department needs to put this to work, the world would truly be a more healthy and vibrant place!!

It was perfected long before the Chinese Chinese herbs in general and then natural medicine system need to be dealt with. There's lots of great things but there's lots of terrible ridiculous things the wet markets that started most of this Coronavirus are a prime example of that

This lecture brings together many subjects of interest to me/ human health issues as relates to the treatment of cancer, bees and the colony collapse issue, and also the issue of industrial agribusiness's use of glyphosate and monoculture in producing commodity crops and in the process destroying soil health (as well as human health). Comes full circle-don't you think?

I had aggressive breast cancer stage 3 hormonodependant which spread to my lymph nodes. I changed my diet to 80 %raw food, no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no soya, no wheat or white flour, no alcohol, no stimulants with juicing 3 times a day, vitC, wheatgrass, spirulina. Meditation, creative visualisation, positive affirmation, Qi gong and took maitake and coriolus versicolor ( turkey s tail) 3 times a day as I had trained in chinese medicine which use mushrooms widely in cancer treatments and read numerous amounts of research done on that subject from China and Japan.
I refused chemotherapy and hormonotherapy but had a tumerectomy, removal of the lymph nodes of my left arm and radiotherapy. The oncologist gave me less than 5 years survival without the chemo and hormonotherapy and that was over 12 years ago, I ve been cleared ever since... I m certain the mushrooms acted like a chemotherapy and were the biggest healers in my recovery.

Ants do the same things that bees do with fungi. I took some pictures of them doing this with a polypore mushroom mycelium. I noticed it after watching one of the talks about this very subject by Paul. Very interesting and has practical applications.

Well, I understand you completely. I have the same experiences with my family also. They only listen to their "doctors" and take whatever their doctor asked them to do so. Because we are not MD they will not listen to us, regardless what researches you tell/show to them, they are still very skeptical. If their doctor would recommend alternative products, such as products from Paul Stamets, they would be very lucky, but most of the doctors only deal with medicines and prescriptions. Many of them know nothing about mushrooms. Sad.

I found out about reishi and other medicinal mushrooms when my Mom had breast cancer..I never knew anything about mushrooms. I was suffering from sciatic nerve pain and on the verge of ending my life until I learned about these mushrooms. I live on a small farm and didn't know that they were growing on our property. I finally came to try them and had no more back pain , sciatic nerve pain, no more acid reflux, and other things. My Mom had learned from infancy that all mushrooms are BAD..I know what you are going through..EVERYDAY I tell her, but it doesn't sink in.

If I were to live a quiet life... studying fungi in an old-growth forest sounds like a pretty nice way to live out some of the rest of it, honestly. I come from The Black Hills of SD area, but PNW has always felt like where I wanted to be on this planet. Just an ecosystem and climate that somehow feels right in my mind. ❤

Yes, I had an argument with a lady from Alaska the other day about the importance of the Salmon runs and all the wild life that need to feed on them so they can be distributed through the forest and renew the soil!
She was arguing for allowing residents to use drift nets to catch more salmon rather than letting them “go to waste” on the animals!?!?
