The Pharah ult being so effective is surprising because Blizzard specifically used that exact scenario in the Ramattra trailer to show how his block could be used.
its only good right in his face, the rockets generally go off in different directions so unless you did it right in his face, it wont work. and when you ult that close up all he needs to do is walk towards you and you die. youre not going to be able to kill a blocking ramattra with barrage in general
Truly a blizzard moment
it's point blank, so all the missiles hit him, what i found interesting is the splash damage is the thing that actually kills him. from what i see, if something with splash damage directly hits ramattra, the splash damage will actually come from the sides and back, so he can't block those, u can see it in tracers ult and the splash damage doing a ton of damage

@KuruttaTensai Doom can't block sleep dart either. It's dumb really since defensive abilities should block CC like sleep dart. Especially since it's Doom's ONLY defensive ability.
Ramattra can block gravity flux, you just have to look up when he does his ult

@@michaelb9537 burst damage, sigma have a one shot combo and his ult can kill 2-3 people easily, apart from that, not really.
Everyone knows the best way to handle a slow moving health bar is rapid chip damage, that's why whole hog and barrage both did so well

I think it's a bug and the splash damage registered from behind. But yeah whole hog and bastion turret form should work decently well.
No, it's just that those two ults are the most powerful in the game in terms of raw damage. Barrage has the highest dps of any ult, while whole hog does the most damage over it's entire duration. They just have spread issues meaning you rarely get to see their full potential. Perhaps barrage did get some splash damage in, but it only mattered because it has so much damage already.
Wow hog ult still absolutely destroys rammatra while blocking I think this calls for a genji nerf

Symettra ult can cut off line of sight to cancel ramattras ult
Seems the explosive ults (pharah and tracer) deal a lot of damage. Maybe because they are also hitting Ramattra from behind.
Pharah's ult is because it gives a maximum (if all the rockets hit it directly) of 1200 dps, which if you reduce the 75% (not counting armor reduction) of the block it will still give 300 dps, which is enough to kill him. Tracer's must be because the bomb sticks to him, what is no longer considered a projectile, therefore, it does not reduce damage. However the damage the bomb deals when thrown is reduced.

Thaks Jay! With this video I managed to find out that the maximum damage that can be reduced is around 85%, since if we add the armor and the ability reduction together, we would have 105% damage reduction, which would not make sense. In Mercy's part, we know that each shot of her does 20 damage, and if we watch it at minimum speed, we will realize that they are being reduced to 3,5 in the armor bar and 5 in normal life, which means around 85% in armor and and 75% in normal health.
Fun Fact: AOE type damage still does full damage but if done in front of you it is then cut in half so in theory you donât need to be behind him you just need to hit around him to deal full damage.
Would be super cool if ramattra during blizzard froze in the blocking form!
it matters not if you have that much damage reduction if your support cannot heal
Symmetra ult still blocks Rammatra ult from crossing it though. I know it doesn't cause damage, but it still has an interaction.
For Sigma ult, use ur block and look up
Tracerâs ult can be blocked if itâs thrown in front of Ramattra, if itâs thrown onto him then itâll do the full damage.

It seems that "contact" explosives like ball mines or tracer bomb dont get reduced.
@@mechanicalsilence1 which is odd bc ball mines can be reduced by block. Been blocking to clear away ball mines and always reduced the damage.
I think that they did take away the 50% damage reduction by enemies during his ult was a good decision because combined with his block his ult would have been quite strong.
Probably he didn't have block and had that 50% reduction instead during his development i'm guessing.
Finally we can actually say "Wow it seems Pharaf is effective this calls for a Pharah nerf"
I have blocked a phara ult before, did say the problem was having the wall behind you that the missiles hit, leading to splash damage behind you.
Idk if it's intended or not, but you can actually block sigma's ult by looking directly upwards while blocking
Sigmas ult can actually be mitigated if you look up whilst getting slammed to the ground
That is the power power of gym
with a lot of the explosion ults you have to make sure you donât take colisiĂłn damage from behind

for ana ult you coulda had her nano a teammate then have the teammate shoot ram throughout the nano's duration
You have to look directly up to block damage from sigmas ult
Pretty sure you can still block Pulse Bomb if its on the ground or a nearby teammate. It looks like sticking Ramattra bypasses his block though.
I think Pulse Bomb still hits Zarya too if you stick her and she bubbles after but it's been a while since I've seen that interaction so I don't really remember.

I'm pretty sure you can block a portion of sigs ult as doom and ramatra if you look up. I might be wrong, though. So take it with a grain of salt.

When Cass ults, I suggest not block right away. Some reason, block adds to hp meter for deadeye. Even if the skull appears while he's blocking, it won't kill
Whatâs odd is that when u get slammed to the ground by sigmaâs grav flux,u have look updwards when u block so u get the dmg reduction.Itâs stupid ik but it idk it js works like that

Item 2 bombs that stick (tracer ult,Cassidy,and echo) do full damage upon stick they have to land in front of them to be blocked
so looks like multi shot and explosives hit through the block at least quite a bit
about the sigma's ult, u have to look up, then he will reduce damage, idk if it is a bug or not

i would make his karthus ability just slow, but a slow like mei.
I used a nano, kistsune rush, bastion turret against him on rialto... his health went down by 1 per shot and went down 200 total

It only blocks from the front so half the time you get crushed from someone flanking you cuz you also have to block frontal damage

No. His ult weakness is killing him right away, making him block to allow the enemy to escape. Giving him life steal will allow him to keep going after the enemy team.
