A State Police Officer sees a car puttering along at 22 MPH. He thinks to himself “this driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!” So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over.
Approaching the car, he notices that there are four old ladies - the three passengers are wide eyed and white as ghosts.
The driver, obviously confused, says to him, “Officer, I don’t understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the problem?”
The officer replies, “Ma’am, you weren’t speeding, but you should know that driving much slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers.”
“Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly... Twenty-two miles an hour!” The old woman says, pointing to a sign next to the road.
The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that the sign was the route number, not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error.
“But before I let you go, Ma’am, I have to ask... Is everyone in this car OK? Your passengers seem awfully shaken and they haven’t muttered a single peep this whole time,” the officer asks.
“Oh, they’ll be all right in a minute officer. We just got off Route 119.

Couldn’t think of anything to comment so here’s a recipe I like for pancakes:
Ingredients: 3/4 cup milk 2 Tbsp white vinegar 1 cup flour 2 Tbsp sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 egg 2 Tbsp butter
Preparation: In a small bowl, stir together milk and vinegar. Allow to sit for five minutes. It will look curdled-that is normal.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Place butter in a small bowl and melt in the microwave. Once melted, crack the egg into the butter and stir with a fork or whisk until well-combined. Pour butter/egg mixture into milk/vinegar mixture and mix again.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients all at once. Gently stir only until all ingredients are uniformly moist. Don’t over mix or the pancakes will be tough.
Heat a skillet over medium heat, spray with cooking spray, and drop 1/4 cup spoonfuls of batter onto skillet. Cook until bubbles form and pop, then flip and cook the other side.

I love your guys passion for bringing these classic gems back to life! Since I was a kid, it's given me a thrill to go to the drag races and car shows and see the muscle cars rumble by. The sound of a V8 with long tube headers is my ear candy. It's been a dream of mine to do what you guys do and get some of America's best cars back on the road. I recently moved out to Southern Arizona for a new job and had to leave my tools behind back in Illinois, but now I have invested in my first muscle car project... A 1971 Chevy C-10 pickup with a 307 V8 and 3 speed stick shift. It's not perfect, but that's how I like it. I think a vehicle becomes more personal to you when you're forced to get under the hood, tamper with it, and get it started up again after a breakdown lol.

When I was 14 my dad and I found a 48 Chevy pickup. We spent 2 years building it together and I drove it away on my 16th birthday. I sold that truck to pay for college and it was the worst loss of a vehicle I ever had. My dad passed away last year and I found the truck again and I am about to bring it home. It has been out of my hand for almost 20 years. I now have 2 boys of my own. I would love to teach them how to redo an old truck just like my dad did. I think those tools from campbell hausfeld would be what we need to get started. Great videos. Always something to learn.

But to properly fix that spring would take a concrete lined furnace, Quelching them then tempering to the correct Rockwell tonnage. BIG STONES to run 9's at 142 with those springs in the front. If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.
When I see someone driving down the road in a classic car, like a 1964 Chevy Nova painted eye-searing yellow, I always pay respect to the fact that someone put their blood and sweat, and maybe even tears into bringing that car to life, to have the feeling that only a car like that can give you when you wrap your fingers around the wheel and turn it over, to hear that engine hum (or roar) to life, knowing you made that happen, is something only the most fortuitous of us have the pleasure of knowing. The skills and the know-how to bring a classic back from death are a gift to anyone that makes the incredible effort to learn. It's more than just "working on a car" or "maintenance." It's the ability to drive down the road and have the respect of those that know what it takes and the envy of those that don't.
Lend me your tools so that I might finish this damn beautiful car and be able to drive far and wide and see the sights, and grin at the envious gaze of some and the respect of others. Because I have the know-how and the zip-ties, but my tools suck.
    Thanks,
    Chris

I bought it two years ago with 306K on the clock and some New York rust (Wish i could share soe pictures with you). I have big plans for the truck but being 18 in college it's hard to find the time or the money to fix it up. I would really appreciate these tools so that I can build my dream truck and every other dream car in the years to come. I know my truck is pretty new in comparison to what you work with usually but I believe that no matter the year a passion for cars never changes.
    Thank you,

Hey Mike my name is Keith i live in a little town in ohio and as you can imagine rust is pretty common on even the newest trucks and cars here when I was younger around the age of 15 ... Im 20 now ... I bought my first rust bucket it was a 85 Chevy k10 with an old wore out 305 in it a few months later after many late nights with my father out in the shop we got it running and I daily drove it up until about a year ago when the old 305 finally let go and it's been under the knife ever since fixing all the rust and many other issues that the truck has in countered over its years but that's not what I want the tools for ... you see over the years I've learned so much about cars and trucks it's crazy and I owe it all to my dad and I guess growing up I never really got the chance to give him the proper thank you that he deserves for all the knowledge that he has passed to me and I think that replacing some of his old tools that i was alittle hard on while learning how to use them with new ones would be a good start ... Thanks for your time

Me and my dad just took the bed off his truck to start prepping it for paint, him and my mom have worked their whole lives and sacrificed so much to give me and my siblings the best they can. My dad loves working on vehicles and doing body work but time is his biggest enemy. working construction sometimes 60+ hours a week along side with my mom doesn't leave much time to work on his passions or do much at all when he gets off work. we just got a new air compressor and have been looking around for air tools, we were going to look at pawn shops to get most of these because we already spent a lot of money getting what we did, so this set would be amazing and help us get a little farther on projects with the limited amount of time we have. my Dad's dream truck is a 64' C10 which i hope to one day help him work on, getting these tools would be an amazing gift for him and be one less thing he has to worry about. Thank you so much for this chance.

  • @OfficialLewisPerformance

Finnegan, I am a huge car fan and love everything to do with them and you are one of the people that made me like this, I watch all your videos and have watched every roadkill video atleast twice (most of them much more than that). My brother all the way to the first day of drag week from New Paris Indiana to get to watch you run, and while we were there I even got on the ground in front of your car just to see the changes you made to it for my self. I also got to talk to Boschiers (sorry if i butchered that) and he tryed to sell me stickers at first, while you were off looking for your wallet, but then I decided to buy a hat. later that day, my brother and I got to meet you and that was like the highlight of like my month, it was just something I never thought I would ever get the chance to do. Well I took that hat home and put it on a shelf for 2 weeks and did not let anyone touch it but then I finally decided if I had the hat I was going to wear it. So I wore the hat to hang out with some of my buddies and one of them knocked it off my head and into the river we were by, and I jumped in after it, yet later that day lost it at a restaurant some how. That really sucked because that was like my prized possession because I bought it directly from you guys. Well anyways I am turning 18 on October 21st this year and am in college and working at an automotive shop working towards becoming a mechanic and planning to in the future open up my own automotive/race shop. At the moment I have some tools but my toolbox is still mostly empty and this tool kit would put me that much closer to having the tools to do the stuff that I want to be able to do, and a killer 18th birthday present.

Me and my best friend Brad just last summer got his grandpa's old 1953 chevy 3 ton grain running again after sitting in the bush since the 80's. Everyone said we were stupid for wasting our time and money on an old grain truck. But the thing is, the truck has perfect patina and is just wicked cool with them big old duelies in the back and the flat deck on it. And since Brads farm is homestead up here in Alberta, every tool in his "shop" is literally 80 years old. And I say "shop" because its just a Quonset with a dirt floor that we work in with no lights or heat. Now he does have a nice air compressor that they use to fill up big tractor tires and stuff so it will be perfect for running those air tools. So far we have been limited to good old open end wrenches and breaker bars and plain old makaita grinders. So those tools would come in super handy for example when we put a new floor in the truck! I really don't want to have to use a big ol 5 inch zip disk in there. And btw the one grinder we have is one with just a switch not a trigger so its basically instant death if it gets out go your hands. And I don't want to die. Not like that. Our plan for the truck is to roll into school around june with a bbq on the back and flip some burgies on the flat deck outside for lunch with some CCR playing and lawn chairs all on the massive 16 foot flat deck.

August 13th 1997, the day I went to the dealer with my father and bought my first car for $1500. A 1976 C10 stepside. I drove it for about 3 years then parked it. I have moved 5 times and every time I loaded the truck onto a rollback to the new house.
3 months ago she moved to her final garage and the teardown began. The truck that has waited 20 years of ownership is ready for the restoration we have always talked about. Currently I have a few cheap air tools but this set would make that restoration much easier. And the money I would save on these tools would be more money I can put into the truck.
The end goal with the truck is to run a Rally North America event and drag week in the same year. It wont set any records due to budget but would mean the world just to try.
For drag week 2017 sorry Fin that you had some bad luck and didnt finish but I am sure you will be back next year giving it hell.

All the way through high school a large majority of what I know now about cars and my passon to keep learning/working on them has come from RoadKill and other shows on MotorTrend. I am a college student at UTI starting out my career working at a dealership. I'm excited to build a hotrod of my own some day and call it my own, air tools would be an amazing way to begin my journey. I love and appreciate all that you and the rest of the crew do, making the best content and showing the real potential of cars and hotrods especially for people that were not born into it.

I need some powerful airtools, if I were to compare these to some of my wifes "toys" how would they rate, I mean hers kicks on and the lights dim in the rest of the house, and Im not sure but some of them will chip up old concrete, or chip teeth, but thats and old memory I dont want to relive.

Hello Finn, how's it going? I hope everything is good.
Ok, I'm gonna tell you why I diserve these tools.
I came from a family where most of them are mechanic, and I started learning this beautiful profession when I was 11 years old, now I'm 35. And guess what, I learned it with my mother (RIP). I remember seeing her undear a car fixing whatever it needed to be fixed and I was always around her because that fascinated me. The smell of the oil, grease, those tools spread... man, it makes me go back in time everytime I smell it.
She knew I was the next to be a mechanic, so she started teaching me simple things like, change the engine oil, brake pad, and brake oil.
I remember she telling me that I could be the best of the best but I wouldn't be nothing if I had not the proper tools.
So I believe those tools are perfect for me. I could do a lot with them!

Finnegan, I hope you always have a goal in mind, Im gonna say this now, but im not trying to give you sob story, i just want you to always remember this. My dad died when i was 17 and a half, we had so many plans that we were gonna do, but they never ended up happening. He was 61 years old and was a hot rodder all his life, you couldnt keep him away from a big block, or anything classic for that matter. Before he died, i saw a episode of roadkill and i think it was viva ranchero part two, but you and Frieburger inspired me to go out there and work on the truck he owned since 1978 and put a relentless amount of miles on, not just for my own personal happiness, but to make him smile. Now he did "give" the truck to me but in all reality it was still his, i mean what are fathers for right? You do all the work and they get the end result. Anyway when he died i wanted to just give up and never work on anything again because he was gonna teach me all he knew so i could learn more become the best damn mechanic to ever or at least try. While home from school a couple days after he passed i watched both of the episodes of the ranchero returning to Alaska, and that made me think. Just because something failed, doesn't mean you have to quit trying to achieve that goal. So i went out there and started working on it just doing everything i could to get the thing to drive down the road safely and it was alot like your 55, first was the sight of it, next was the best worst test drive of your life then it was mint but not without its flaws. The point im trying to make is that, you and Frieburger got me back on my feet and taught just because a goal wasnt reached, you cant make new goals. I worked on that thing everytime i had money and time, busted my knuckles, screwed up threads, and broke things countless number of times. Everytime I did though I learned from my mistakes and I learned how to correct them, or alot of the times I learned new things that you and the rest of hot rod team would talk about on the projects. Im getting all confused and dont know what else to say but thank you. I pushed myself harder and harder everyday now to learn more and more, im 19 now and attending diesel tech to become even better at what i do well now. To finish the story about the truck i ended driving it with a electric fuel pump, propane rigged in, a broken leaf spring, and zipped tied in electric fans to my graduation and it was probably one of the happiest days of my life. I dont want you or any of the rest of the crew to stop what youre doing, always have a goal set in mind, and never to stop and give up one day because things hasnt gone your way like with the dropped valve. I want you to come back going hitting the gas twice as hard with triple the drive to do so because it inspires kids like me. Im just one of thousands of people you guys have inspired So thank you for not giving up and quitting like i wanted to so bad that day, hell i dont know where id be today if and Frieburger just decided to not do roadkill.
Reason why its edited is to tell you that im sorry for making it so long i tried to make it short, but i now am working on a 67 camaro and might be working on a 68 after. Thanks again for all your hard work and devotion to speed parts, facial hair and beer.

Finnegan... i was going through an ultra tough time while back and bed bound i stumbled across Roadkill Alaska trip (when you made it). Your determination to overcome whatever odds came your way with a smile and a wise crack (just as in this episode and all the others) helped get me back on my feet. It also inspired me to turbo charge my 20 year old Nissan Almera (which took me 3 months doing hour here and there and it made 14psi (1lb + -) boost last weekend - its taken little 1.4l hatch back from 87hp to 150hp. Then my wastegate jammed closed (used wrong circlip on connecting arm) and totally destroyed turbo. Because Roadkill. I've watched every episode of Finnegan's Garage and Roadkill. Keep rocking those spanners!!! I live in Bristol, England, UK. And don't have air compressor. So dont qualify for competition i guess. But thought i would write how you helped a petrol head get back under the hood.

It along with my 76 Chevy step side need a lot of work ranging from engine work down to New carpet lol.
