  • Something strange happens to James the Red Engine while taking the Midnight Goods to the far side of the island…
So after months of nothing but filler and promises that I’d make real content eventually, I finally present to you all the first part of a 4 part mini-series I’ve wanted to do for years now. The journey to how I was finally able to create this is quite a long story. Originally, I wanted to do this in Trainz 2019, however, Trainz 19 runs terribly on my PC, so I had to scrap that idea. I then decided to buy Trainz: A New Era in hopes it would run better, and while it did run a little bit better, it wasn’t enough that I’d be satisfied doing something of this scale in it. So months went by and I thought I’d never get this little idea off the ground, when one day, for the hell of it, I decided to take a crack at filming in Trainz 2009. The results blew me away, the game ran at a smooth 60 frames per second and through trial and error I found I was able to use Trainz 2012 and T:ANE models in the game. I didn’t actually find out about the model compatibility until I was halfway through filming this, hence why I used the 2009 SI3D models. In future installments, I will be using the updated models. So yeah, Trainz 2009, a game most Trainz content creators have deemed obsolete, is a more than viable option for me, and I’m very pleased with the results.
Hopefully you guys enjoy this first installment, I worked really hard on it and would love to get some feedback on it. This is only the first spooky story out of 4, so stay tuned for the next parts over the coming months. Part 2 I’m afraid to say won’t be out for a few months, for reasons I’ll discuss in an upcoming update video, however it will come out at some point.
I’d like to quickly give a huge thanks to my wonderful voice crew. They all did a fantastic job here and I feel blessed to have the privilege of being able to work with them. This little project of mine wouldn’t have been the same without you guys, so once again, huge thanks to you guys.
And uh, yeah. If you’ve actually bothered to read this, thank you, and I sincerely hope you enjoy this video. Thank you so much for clicking on this, and as always, have a fantastic day gang! -Rhen
