Man.. what a difference as opposed to a couple years ago. Oli sounds insane. And he looks like he’s having so much fun. So good to see/hear
Jordan Fish did an interview recently where he pretty much implied they were in a creative rut for a while, to the point where during the writing of Amo, Oli was like "I don't want to fucking hear it if it's heavy." So the pendulum swung the other direction really hard. It's only in the last couple years that they seem to be pretty much making whatever they want with no pressure to be this or that, and it shows. Sometimes it's a heavy song. Sometimes it's a poppy song. Sometimes it's experimental.
I don't think I've seen Oli have this much fun on stage before. Screams sounded solid too.
Oli was fantastic! Maybe because it was still light out and it was such a big, wide open amphitheater space… but yeah, he clearly had a lot of fun and it rubbed off on the crowd too!

@@smokinbananaI tell when a singer or a song on the radio, live, has tune and alot of them even the best singers especially ones that dance or move around alot might use 5 percent tune maybe 10.. ive only listened to the first two songs maybe he switches later cause he is tired or idk, not sure he is gonna hit the note.. but the first two songs i have not detected any auto tune at all. I always listen for it but i just don't think so on this one. His vocals have just gotten amazing past few years.

This was my first ever rock concert. The performance blew me away. Oli's energy was insane. The people sitting around us were there for Fall Out Boy and weren't very familiar with BMTH. By the time Drown played, they were all fully into it!
Good to know this was fall out boy, I wanted to go to one of these shows but I was wondering if they wouldn’t play there heavier tracks because of it
I doubt there is anyone in the scene not being familiar with bmth at this point, love or hate them.

Autotune doesn't turn a bad singer into a good singer. It fixes pitchiness, which EVERY singer deals with in live performances, especially when you're running and jumping around like a maniac.

The way that Oli can work a crowd is up there with the best I have ever seen. Just an unbelievable amount of kudos to him and the whole band. What a fucking set.
All those years and years well over a decade of doing big music festivals like at Reading before they really blew up giving them so much experience on big stages so when Mantra exploded like it did elevating their hard work and relentless dedication to the level of recognition they deserve!

lucky people of Wisconsin just witnessed one of their best live performances ever in terms of quality (still not my fav setlist :D). if it sounds incredibly perfect in video on youtube i could not even imagine how it sounded live. oli sounds insane and i'm very-very-very happy for him and the rest of the band

I appreciate you so much for recording this for us! I was also here in the lawn area and still had such a good time! Oli had such a fun time and it made me so happy! This was my first time seeing them and was not disappointed! I did leave before FOB cuz of the storm, but I watched some of your video so I feel I didn't totally miss out lol.

i hadn’t really listened to them before i worked this show, but now i’ve been playing them almost nonstop since it ended. oli has the most insane vocals i’ve ever heard, and he switches so seamlessly even while running around the whole venue
So weird to be reading this in 2023. 10 years ago he was one of the worst live vocalists, prior to that he couldn’t actually sing only scream, he’s made so much progress.
Same it was my first concert and I was not disappointed! I wasn’t really that into Fall Out Boy either (I went because of a friend) but after going I’ve been playing both their music nonstop 😅
Wouldn't it be insanely awesome if Oli did a song live with Noah from Bad Omens, they both have such variety in their voices (maybe during the NEX GEN tour when they tour together I really hope 🤞🤞)

Have we watched the same show ? I don't mean that maliciously but Oli is relying a lot on Jordan (who's unfortunately now gone from the band) for the harshest vocals, on the public for the transitions / chorus and on backing vocal tracks as one can see in Lost... Don't get me wrong, it's good that they've found a way to keep on performing although he's ruined his voice and he's still a great showman but even if he has recovered some from previous years, one can see that his days of singing through a whole concert are past because he lacked the proper vocal training to keep his voice.

went to this show on the 7th, was fucking awesome. fall out boy was sick as well! it was pretty fun embarrassing my friends i was with while i screamed every word of bmth's songs with everyone around us definitely being there for fall out boy lol. glad i finally got to go to a concert, haven't been to one since covid.
I remember when they first played AmEN in Hungary, the song wasn't even out yet and while we were enjoying it to the fullest with my friends but after it was over we were like "what the fuck was that tho?"

Being from the UK I saw them the day count your blessings got released when they supported PenKnifeLoveLife in a 200 person venue and can say they were fucking insane back then. I was 18 then and now I'm 34.
As much as they're new stuff isn't my cup of tea you can't deny they've worked hard to get to this level.
