Cliff Divers in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series free fall 27 meters over the course of 3 seconds, before entering the water at speeds upwards of 85kph. At that height and speed, the surface of the water hits back like concrete, and the athletes must enter perfectly vertical to withstand the force...or face severe injury and possibly the worst belly flop known to man.

"most injuries happen on the landing" wow what a surprise :D
u can get hit by a bird while in air though 😛
Keep an eye out for them hawks! they're vicious
Gor1lla I always break my ankle on the jump... 😶
"You know, I heard one in five people don't even make it to the ground."
1:30 I prepare my body in various ways -JS
I jumped headfirst into a relationship back in 03....still hurts till this day.
Loool
I did 5M and I thought I was dead
James Rivera lol
I was 7 when i jump from 5 meters
Jaap Molenaar in Russia, 5 meters jumps you
I did 13m and bellyflopped. I almost broke my ribs
Ana Scott I tried to learn to dive once and not really got it but had a general sense of how to do it. I went cliff jumping and then my dad was pushing me to dive. It was only like 8-10 feet but I didn’t send it enough and did a perfect flop. My sister got the perfect picture on impact
This video gave me a lot of confidence. I might try a cannon ball in the deep end of the swimming pool
lobbyrobby lol
Lol
Is there any sport that redbull doesnt sponsor?
downhill skateboarding
yes there is it is underwater sex...
sasukefangirl4lyfe UFC is not a sport
sasukefangirl4lyfe UFC is mma
Maybe equestrian?
How I describe my first time going off a normal diving board
and then you have the norwegians who deathdives from 20+ M bridges
Snedle Røyskatt nigga no one cares about your fucking hometown
2:17
@@thesauce5924 nice complex you have. I don't know about the town, but many thousands care about death diving
World record for døds is now 31m lmfao norvegians are crazy
French people are pretty good too, someone from a cliff diving meet-up i go to did one from 27m
This is the best advice, and reality. I remember my first serious jump at Bull Shoals AK at about 60-70 ft. and the bottom of my feet stung, I had my ass only slightly bent out and I was red for a few days there. I feel for anyone who lands side ways flops. YEAH, its like a car crash (Not Mike Tyson) and not you are possibly passed out in the water. Great vid and advice.
10M dive can hit hard too!
Mitchseen only if you really land shit
Did that in canyoning! So fun!!
Imagine pencil diving and slowly feeling your body move at an angle where you can belly flop right befote you hit the water and you don't know how to reposition yourself. Scary.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH RED BULL IS LOVE THE HUMAN LOVE !!!!!!
Fantásticos saltos !! Me gustan poder realizarlos ...
Always wondered this
Very interesting, Congratulations !
The hardest dive I ever did was a muff dive back in 1986 in the toilets at the old Irish Pub in Frankfurt.
How much?
Why was it difficult, wasn't the muff clean 😋
Riede94: hold my beer
MY BROTHER IN LAW IS RIGHT HERE, HE IS STRONG, HE IS DIVINE , HE HAS DONE ALL OF THESE SINCE HE WAS 13 YEARS OLD , STARTED IN PRAGE. GOD BLESS HIM.
“The best feeling on earth for us cliff divers”
Gotta love that rhetoric
Very nice
Yeah maybe they should change the name to cliff jumping- since nobody actually goes in the water headfirst- you know, the definition of diving...
I think that's his point. Semantics: it's not 'Cliff Diving' so much as it's 'Cliff Pencil Diving'...which - granted - doesn't sound quite Red Bull-esqe enough.
aydinvideo saxoxxxx😅😅💏💏💓💓💜👊👍💪💪💆💋💋💋xxx
Scammed Boi there is this guy that has videos diving from over 20m
@@ore4405 Why are you taking offense to this? He's 100% right, that's not a dive.
The definition of diving can be used to express head first or feet first entry
I get the same feeling waking up in my bed every morning. The wake up quality all depends on how badly you have to pee.
Now I want to see some fails
I jumped from 10m cliff and i just tucked all the way into the water. I was coughing blood.
D!NO lol. When I do 12m I feel nothing. It just hurt my feet one time idk why
ye nah its probably because u landed flat footed so your feet had a wider surface area that smacked the water.
DJNO only 30 fret bruh 💀
I think you hit it at the wrong angle mate
High deck at Penn state tower I know it was 50 feet ,15 meters as it was too long ago,a meter is close to a yard
My dad always like to dive nothing fancy he just did good clean dives, but one summer we were in the sands hotel on the east coast of Florida and their was a ten foot real high dive board with the roller...better yet there was a real diver who I got to be friends with and learned from that was cool,so I became real comfortable with high dive boards, one time we were at Penn state visiting some friends at the pool, and they had their Olympic platform and my friend say something I did not even hear and I said stay here I go off...when I got to the top the view was amazing,I paused and did not dive I just stepped off making sure to stay straight and time my entrance so I would not hit bottom I kept my arms out to control my vertical position but forgot to bring them in my arms were okay but I was really impressed by the impact good thing I knew to stay straight it was a rush as u slow ur self by widening your limbs once u slow enough and then make that trip back to the surface like u said its a cool feeling just hitting the water that fast and being comfortable with it is the really neat part if diving and ur ears as the speed of the plunge goes by I really wish I had been able to practice it more but u don't start career diving on the top deck,as I was walking up I quickly erased the thought of first time up trying a dive,so feet first was still awsum.for divers the fun part is under the water getting slowed, that people don't see from above the water...I just did a time run to know my entrance knowing there was plenty of pool under me...it felt more like a Hollywood stunt going feet first...funny thing my friends had nothing to say they were not even thinking of joking about trying it me o could spend all day practicing i really want to dive, but was not going to show off, first time I just knew how to handle the entrance into the water and get stopped well before the bottom and really wanted to know how it felt dive from that high,or jump...the funny thing is how our body floats its natural buoyancy really kicks in quick u rock at the beginning as u do off ten foot high dive and ur body floats so that helps u slow then u spread and slow as your arms and legs strength will allow,it was fun, keep calm was a big key ,I was very fit at the time very fit and that made it easy and fun...sorry I can't remember the meters height for the top deck of the tower,sorry...THANKS
I'm going cliff diving in Spain next week can't wait :)
Sean Nock How was it?
guess we will never know...
It probably claimed his life for all we know

@@ibrahimsoualhi7735 ur funny aab bro😂
I did 8 m and i bust my lip. Lol ahaha
I was 13 and I jumped off a cliff idk remember how tall it was but when I did I remember swinging my arms and I didn’t put them in and it hurt my arms it left me sore for 2 weeks
Gread video guys. Now give us a tutorial,on how they do it !
***** 10 years of training on some basic moves. I want the moves
Um...
Step 1. goto cliff
Step 2. Jump
Dumbass 😂😂😂😂😂
do you automatically shoot back up with the bubble?
I think so since most creatures are boyunt
Mom: come on its only a 4m diving board
Me: No
Mom: why not
Me: 0:03 - 0:14
dislocated my shoulder on 15m jump, YEAH :D
haha you did something wrong
steven sounds like tony hawk
Speaking of jumping instead of diving head first break water with your arms I have always wondered at what height do u abandon head first because its too much for u to cut thru with your hands and head without causing a concussion no matter how strong u think u are. I say well before 90 mph hour ,I think off that college deck I was going 40 mph when went into the water, just 40 ish...no game...for inexperienced....
What about the toes? Must they be hold strong?
I am looking for reverse videos of this where jumper has arms up so it looks like Superman flying out of the sea? Someone could plan this with clinched fists one arm a bit cocked and determined upward look! Anyone know of such video?
Dougie Quick I’ll post one this summer. That’s a great idea
That's a fun idea! Let's see what we can do :D
I jumped off a 50ft cliff and it still hits hard AF wouldn't do it again
damn nigga
+Krisspy Design 😂
50ft is fun for me. I draw the line at 70
First cliff I've ever jumped off of was 67 feet and I don't know why I thought it would be painless so my dumbass jumped without a care in the world. I hit that water and I bruised my feet, screamed underwater and almost drowned. I feel your pain man, but the difference is that I would do it again
GameSight wow!! That’s insane if u ask me. I wish I was brave enough for that
One of my best friends jumped from a 26m cliff into water. The landing wasn't exactly perfect and so on the following days he seemed fine. He later began complaining about pain on his neck. Turned out he got a serious neck injury for which he had to undergo surgery. The doctor later said he could have become a paraplegic. Don't mean to scare anyone who wants to try this but you should know what the stakes are.
Wait most injuries happen landing what a surprise I’ve always thought it would be the midair action
Once I muff dived....! I'm still paying for.!
swag
Are there cliff diving shoes and if so, how do they help and how much do they help? A good answer could be "yes, they help you cut through the water, they let you jump 20% higher" or something.
Was hoping they'd show some failed landing attempts...
HrD ShocKWave You get knocked out, he said its like getting punched. If you watch cliff diving on TV sometimes you can see that the divers waiting for him in the water have to actually drag them out because they're unconscious.
HrD ShocKWave idk but some kayakers broke thier back when the landed flat from 20+ meters
pyranha kayaks A friend of mine get unconscious by failing a dive a 7 meters, that's why I say that you can easily die a 27 meters.
there was one in there
same omg
Anyone else see that black whale fish thing at0.07
Jumped off a high bridge and got hit with the *biggest uppercut in the world.*
When ur going so deep so fast at the impact, ur ears does not hurt?
What’s the height to consider for 1st time diver in cliff?
5m in good enough.
1 minecraft block
how High they are jumping ?
20 - 30 meters
The cliff diving competitions are usually around 27 meters.
Picture this: Your so excited to get lots of views on CZcams so you decide to jump of let’s say like a 75 foot cliff. You fail to hit the group with your feet first and hit your belly...
ouch
Human bodies...God have mercy on them.
I jumped from 1.5 meters in a pool and my body ached for the next 7 minutes.
so basically, be strong and point your toes
Good god I would not go diving there cuz I CAN'T SEE THE BOTTOM OF THE WATER!
It really matters on the fall most of the time
Just ask Steve from Minecraft he knows
I love cliff jumping,my highest was 75 feet in Puerto Rico.
impressive height man, did you flip off it or just jump feet first?
@@wieser98 feet first.
@@Latexghost wasnt it hard to keep it straight? ive heard from experienced cliff jumpers that its harder to keep control when not flipping, because you dont have an axle to rotate around
@@wieser98 i did that jump bout 20 years ago,and all i remember was hitting the water so hard with my feet,it felt like i almost broke my feet. The angle was not really a issue for me,atleast that is what i remember.
I did a 80ft jump the other day and boy does it hurt, what sucked the most was the water pushing in my ears
Smokefatdoinks 707 - I would never do that. 40 ft is the limit for me.
ok i really wanted to try this but maybe ill stick to lower heights for now lmaoooo
First place or second place stuff on a rock.
meanwhile truls torp is doing bellyflops from 20 meters
Question: I’ve noticed cliff divers land flat footed rather than pointing their toes. This seems counterintuitive to me. Can anyone explain?!
Great so definitely don't watch this video before you go cliff jumping
Most accidents occur while impacting the water...really?
What an insight.... Where do the others occur...
Landing on the rocks instead
Growing up me and my cousins would always jump off the cliff about 90ft high, it was always a rest of who’s man enough
I was hoping for a technique or position you have to be in in order to absorb the impact.
they explain it in a newer video
T pose for balance in the air. Then pencil dive foot like ballet. After enter water, go star pose to prevent sinking too deep.
I am Indiana my name is istiyak
I jumped a 85ft bridge twice and I had shoes on so my feet didn’t hurt
Traduction fr please ?
BELLY FLOP BELLY FLOP BELLY FLOP
Dude at the bottom of the screen at 2:23 was totally left hanging, I bet.
Christopher Day wasn’t a high five it was the ok 👌 symbol

Anybody else thought that one of the cliffdivers looked kinda like zac efron
101 views? is this the new 301
301 hasnt changed
Oep
Why is this getting recommend to everyone 5 years later lol
Because it's still good 5 years on 😎
And here i am scared of doing a backflip from 3 meters
Oh Yea. I'm scared of just walking around the pool after I slipped when the concrete was wet...
1.33 giggedy
I'd never even attempt this... =) I'm a wimp. 12th.
***** Probably not... =)
***** Seriously, though. =)
***** Haha.
I did with my dad I'm 11 it wasn't that high though
:)
They do exaggerate the landing way too much. I do cliff jumping myself and the impact isn't too bad.
Oh yea?? I think they jump a *little * bit higher
Well, if you jump from 5 meters, then yes, it isn't too bad.
Where's Adrenaline Action?
I’d do a but buster probs
Cannonball is not the right way to go?? huh
I’ve done 15m and I’m 15
Nice ive done 20 and I’m 15 did it last year tho
Sponsor adrenaline addiction
that guy who went in bent in half tho. yikes.
Real men belly flop at those heights....
The real question is how does the water not go up their nose ? 🤔
This is so exaggerate 😂
I lost 2 friends from this.
Guy L they didn’t do it right man, gotta have a right mindset and a good entry. just did a 50 footer last weekend no problem. bad mindset = bad outcome
The Dank Panda don’t tell this guy about how his friends had the wrong mindset. He doesn’t need to hear it. His friends are dead. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t care about their mindset when they were cliff diving.
Guy L I’m sorry for your losses man.
@@AustinNGrayson right like they probably had the right mindset but accidents happen. Geeze. May they rest in peace
The Dank Panda omg dude. Acknowledge what you just said to this man with dead friends my hell. just because you learned a couple useful pointers while cliff jumping your first big one doesn’t make you an expert at all, you’re probably in over your head if you have to praise yourself on a little bit of experience that much, that mindset is what gets people killed homie. Stay humble, I’m sure his friends were avid divers.
I did 11 m
2019 anyone?
I did 125 feet once
Matthew Sleeney I belly flopped from a plane 2 years ago and the water is still unconscious
i think it isn‘t that like redbull said..... i jumped 23 meters with no problems i‘m 14 and not that strong
Yeah i haven't had a chanche to go that high but i have still dived from 14m head first and im pretty skinny. Its really more about the technique than strenght. But if you jump from +30m strength will start to play a bigger role.
Are you sure it was 23 and not 3?
2019????
1899?
Here in Algeria and some other north African countries when you jump your chest is the first thing to touch water or you are a coward
This is so stupid
So nothing really about surviving a high dive. Nothing about your feet or hands or anything. Just a bunch of bullshit about mentally preparing yourself and core strength.
There is not a lot more you can do. Just try to land feet first at 90 degrees and then you can only wish your body can take it.
Gay sport
Very nice
