Omg same, I have what I think is a bunny ear cactus that I named 2pac, cos it started off with 1 base then grew 2 ears, and another one like the one in the video that I named Biggie Smalls cos he started out small then got really big
My friend asked me for a large clipping from my aloe plant because she wanted to make her own hand sanitizer so I cut a decent piece off and set it aside and told her to come by anytime and pick it up. She never did. That piece of aloe has rooted itself to the ground where I left it and it’s thriving! It’s probably doubled in size in the past few months lol
DEFINITELY will get root rot right back if you're watering it that often after trying to rehab. Cacti are VERY forgiving if you forget to water. I've forgotten to water for several MONTHS and they just slow their growth. But if you overwater even a little bit they become dramatic and want to turn to mush. More like 10 days in the summer, even longer if the soil is still wet.
@@samraddatz6002 in my experience they're incredibly hard to kill, even in grafting and rerooting. EXCEPT when you overwater. But you do whatever works for you

Oh thank you for this! My neighbor gave me quite a few different cactus and they were all dying... I didn't know how to save them. I lost most of them but 3 actually grew. But I now know how to help them if they're rotted!!!
I knew a K-Pop boy who tried to rescue his dying cactus, a special gift from a brother. i think he forgot to add sulfur power thing before repotting, so his cactus d1ed after a few days. i learned something new today, thanks to you!
You don't have to add any powder. Just work clean. I never added powder to my cut cacti or succulents. And I'm owning and breeding succulents for like 10 years now
I love all plants succulents and cati. My hubby and I have ao many through our house and yard. I am so glad to have came across you and your vids. Hope there are many more like this. Plants deserve rescue and love too. 😊

Nice save! I’m always worried I’ll do this to my succulents but I’ve been babying them with how much water they get making sure they don’t get rained on too much
I have two cactuses. Forgot about the one over the winter because it was up high so it could stay warm. Dude grew two more babies and was perfectly fine. Only watered it once this summer. I'd say I'm doing pretty good for my first cactus.
I think that might be a little too much water. But I could be wrong. I used to work at a farmers marker that also sold plants. We told costumers to put an ice cube in the pot with their cactus or succulent once a month.
Definitely too much water for that kind of cactus. Interesting about the ice cube bit! Mine stay out in the Texas sunshine and only get watered when it rains.
Glad to say AFTER WEEKS of waiting it looks like I saved a short but solid cutting of T. Pachanoi that had been watered like hell along with other plants all winter. It was practically yellow when I got it, it's finally starting to darken now but I have it under cover but in the sun and won't water it until it gets seriously darker. Along with a few other touchy ones
My neighbor is well known around here for her cactus garden and she uses BBQ tongs--the big ones-- to handle the plants. She also has livestock grooming gloves (you can find them at farm and ranch stores) for the ones that are too heavy for the tongs and have to be picked up. She sold my wife a big old barrel cactus that was half rotted from freeze damage and it's alive and well in our yard today.
Was excited to see how you make nopales, but then realized you were joking 😂
Wrong kind of cactus lol
you don’t use that to make nopales 💀
I was thinking the same 💀💀
Lol I was thinking the same, like “that’s a weird cactus to eat…” but then I understood
you can't make nopales with every cactus man
Why did she take off the gloves
Most likely it became hard to hold the utensils and she would rather have got stuck once then have it fall on her and prick her everywhere it fell.
@@lemonboywoops6277 She was holding a knife, gloves aren't going to hinder that

Once it starts to grow roots you don't water it as often. But it's necessary to water it that much when it has no roots to suck up water yet.
