I thought it was kinda cruel that she kept telling him that. she didn't sound very positive at first but I'm only halfway through. I know he probably doesn't understand her but it still makes me sad.

Well, she Is telling him the Truth and that's important. The other horses seemed bothered by him constantly trying to kiss them. Just put yourselves in their place. Would you like it if some Winston kept coming around trying to force himself into your group or your life? Most in here would call the police if that happened to them. The other horses don't deserve to have their wishes respected and be left alone?

HE is not a little cow. He/She is a calf. Castrate HIM and you have a steer. Female calves can't be castrated because they don't have testicles so they become cows.
