First shots and thoughts on the cheapest .17hmr rifle on the market. Check out my Campsite page campsite.bio/untacticaltexan Ultra Budget Rimfire/Air Rifle scope. amzn.to/47bqHbM
Thanks for the review, also the recommendation on Gallery of Guns & Tomball Pawn Shop. I ordered one and received already but I just want to say thanks for the reference, I have never heard of the Gallery of guns and Tomball Pawns before your review, but now I do. They are great for price shopping and great place to shop BTW fast shipping too. Finally I did purchase the gun from GOG and picked it up at Tomball Pawns shop. The gun looks great and so far seem to be good, I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. But I am sure that it will be good, felt good in the hand. Lastly you are right about the thread being 1/2x20. Ordered the adapter as well. Thanks again.
Interesting review. Hadn’t heard of the gun before. Did a quick search and found it as you said also in 22lr & 22wmr. Also have at least the 22lr in semi auto for $230 at Academy, I think for that price point I’d go with the Winchester Wildcat and get 10-22 magazine compatibility. Probably going to have to spend more on the optic than you did on the gun to get a real indicator of the guns accuracy potential at 100. Hope you enjoy it.
@@untacticaltexan it will be money well spent. In a cheap Savage or Marlin bolt gun, I’ve seen 5 shot groups of that .17HMR covered by a dime. So the potential us there. Again have fun with it.
Mag release is user error…. Also if u know how to “sight in” it beams a quarter size grouping at 200 yrds … not a bad review for not a bad gun 👍🏼 a lot of fun to shoot
The mag release is fine. The magwell is a bit too narrow, the mags required a fair amount of tugging to come free. Only issue I have, and it's an easy fix.
@@ianwest1155 Apparently, I was told that this takes the Rossi mags, if that's the case I would try one of them first. If not, I was going to gently polish the mag well.
yeah well, i got the Trakr .22. and yeah the mag release sucks! but i found that after 50rds. things got better. and that it would kinda jump out. but yeah a nice gun for the price
Thanks for the heads up on the barrel threads.

Thank you for watching! And have fun with your Trakr!
In my experience with 22LR and 22WMR versions, mags drop free if you don't press too hard. Just press the mag release lightly.
Thanks, I'll try that.
I am apparently too old to get used to the look of a bolt-action rifle with a pistol grip LOL good review man
Thanks, brother!
Nah, I'm going to be 50 soon. If I can, you can too 🤣
Cool gonna check out this rifle
Doing an update video soon.
@@untacticaltexan awesome want to get one for me and my son to plink around will be watching next one.

True. Optic gonna cost same as rifle. Or more. I do like it though.

@randallupton3622 Thanks, bud. Will do that!
I bought 1 a week ago. It's ok for the price... works ok

Quarter size group at 200 yards? Yeah, ok. 🙄

Mine has loosened up a bit now too.
I have one, not bad for a cheap rifle.
Where did you get the scope ring mounts I’m having trouble finding ones that fit
I ordered a set of mid height rings from Monstrum Tactical I believe.
I didn't know that you could get a 17 hmr for unde 200 I need this gun
Have you tried the rossi 10 round mag the 5 round mags are identical
I have not. I'll look into that
I just got the 22lr but was wondering how you put the scope on there?
Is it drilled for mounts? The .17 came with weaver mounts already on it.
@@untacticaltexan it seems like there are groves we the rings bite into but nothing crazy
@@spikeheath6720 I believe the .22lr bolt is dovetail mount. So you need dovetail scope rings or a dovetail to weaver/picatinny adapter.
Don't rest your gun on the barrel when shooting for accuracy!
Had it in the sled just to sight in scope. Group was from sandbag rest. Good tip
@@untacticaltexan I just realized you are from Texas also, I'm about to check out some more of your videos and subscribe!
@@JuarezDerrick Appreciate that!
What size scope do you have on your
It's a 3x9x40. No parallax adjustment, though, so only good out to about 100 yards.
@@untacticaltexan ok buddy. Thanks
I got one and the egector broke
Oof. That's not good. They fix it up for you?
Did you get it fixed?
