Have fun with your project I bet it will be something saving a peice of history
My hats off to your buddy Travis hellva driver
I like your Cooper Bogetti shirt👍
Hey bud I’ve replied to you comment and sent emails no reply
Hey Tim if you are going to get rid of those split ring rims, might want to get a hold of Mark at Twin sticks you tube channel. I think he’s still looking for a set.
Tim, how you honored this man and valued his life's work in front of your son was beautiful to watch.
THANKS A BUNCH FOR NO PROFANITY. A CLASS MAN.
“It’s a good stack…… it’s been hot” killed me😂😂😂
You are cute af
Get the rowdy rooster finished up and take him on a trip. Make the guy feel young again and be even more happier that you have his ole cabover. To many people neglect our elders without them we wouldn’t have the history we have today.
I think I'm about as excited as you are about getting that beautiful baby girl and to be taking her home with you. They just don't build them like they used to. I remember when my Dad had a dump truck and getting my fingers slammed in the door and that was roughly 60 plus years ago but is vivid in my mind.I laugh now, but it wasn't funny at the time, and I remember not being able to say a word just point so my Dad knew what was happening.😎
What a great old gentleman . You can learn a lot from him just by listening. The stories are amazing.
He really needs to stay on the porch and tell stories rather than get in the way being a hazard to himself.
That ole boy probably forgot more things about the truck then these new drivers learned about it.I could listen to the old boys tell they're stories and listen to advice the give
Thanks for keeping this part of history alive, After all the years I drove by that truck wondering, I look forward to seeing it run. God Bless you brother.
This hasn't aged that good.
I've been waiting on this one to drop since the last video you put out on Ole Cash!!!! WOW BABY!!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU SHOW OUT ON THIS ONE!!!! Make all of us left lane lovin' 10 lugg THUGGS proud!!!!
I love the $6 diesel, the higher it goes the fewer left lane hogging big rigs there are.
Keep us posted and keep us loud and proud
I think it would be awesome if you took Stan on a run. I believe that would mean alot to him to go one more time.
I agree. He deserves.... One more run,
I didn't hear him say no 🙂
Who the hell called your equipment junk? I just don't understand what makes somebody come off with something like that, but normally it's somebody that is jealous because you are doing more than they are! You got this trucking company stuff figured out, just took a couple of times but I truly feel like you got it this time. Good video brother thanks for sharing.
Bruce Wilson called it junk.
It's the Bernie Sanders effect. People with zero experience will tell you they are subject matter experts...laughable. What people can't understand is this "junk" is Smithsonian level antiques that are disappearing everyday and as they go, chapters of America history and stories of the people who built America into an economic powerhouse before politicians sold us out. These old beasts were pure mechanical and hydraulics. Those that spend their time to resurrecting these trucks, preserving their vaunted place in history ought to be thanked. Take a modern trucker and toss his/her ass in an old REO with three or more shifters coming out of the floor, Armstrong steering and a dash of switches, knobs and gauges...you could follow them for miles by the brown streak they left behind as they ran in terror. No computers, no automatic anything...you won't find modern trucks that could set for 30 years and then run IMHO.
@@maxpuppy96 was it in a video or something? I don't watch Bruce because he seems like a bit of a crybaby.
Wow, he's the one that called it that? I'd prefer the older stuff. But strobes are your friend, get a green or blue bulb on oneside, seems to work getting people's attention
Wasn’t it BOC Enterprises talking about older equipment
Hearing you say Sweetwater just made me miss Tennessee even more. I used to live in Philadelphia Tennessee as well as paint rock Tennessee. However I was born and raised in Maryville Tennessee. I used to love going to The Sweetwater flea market. A lot of good memories down there. Also I used to haul scrap to Sweetwater. Love what you're doing with them old trucks. Not enough people appreciate the older stuff in life.
Amen im born n raised n hall's crossroads Knoxville Tennessee.
It's great to see old iron getting back on the road again. It's fun rebuilding things with family and friends or proving haters wrong that it run again with a little work.
Well I lost my job I called in and told them I was hanging out with Johnny Cash with a little bit of whiskey and the real deal Gentry and Sons Braxton you did one helluva job with that camera little buddy there ain't nothing you can't do you're an awesome young man.... I'll be down there at the food stamp office tomorrow morning but I want to thank all you truck drivers ahead of time and everybody else for your hard work me getting those food stamps just want to say thank you if it wasn't for all your hard work I would be screwed🤣😂🤣😂 brother Tim you Travis and Braxton did one hell of a job brother true professional right here❤💪🏽💪🏽 and Stan much love and respect for you ol"trucker you're responsible for helping out a lot of truck drivers along the way brother that's for sure nothing but big love for you and wifey I know you guys will miss it it would be hard not to you have a lot of miles a lot of history a lot of memories you are a true outlaw and this truck could not have went to a better person we can't wait to see it all fixed up Tim will have to give you a ride let you drive Big Mac Daddy.. and the whole thing about me losing my job and getting on food stamps that was a joke you guys but it was a good one people that get that free money they don't think anybody that works for them and that's aggravating when they take advantage of the system and you're paying more money out of pocket I get a monthly check but it was money that was taken out of my check from the day I started paying taxes to the last load when I had a bad motorcycle accident 2013 hospital bills over $1000000 I'm lucky to be alive but I tell you what this channel helps me stay alive hell yeah Travis looking good brother all lit up with those chicken lights whiskey looks badass Travis you're a hell of a good man I love this family and his drivers and Friends Tim and Mama Gentry got it goin on they know what it takes and Tim you look great brother you have lost more weight you look like what you did when you and wifey was first dating brother"""WHOOOOO As Tim Would Say 💯💪🏽💪🏽❤👍🏽👍🏽💙🙏🙏🌏🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽😎🗯🗯💥🤙🏽🤙🏽🇺🇲Merica and are great friends from the land of Down Under💯💪🏽💪🏽🇦🇺🍺🍺
Awesome video Tim. I think we need to give Travis a big shout out, that ole boy has came a long way in a year or so. Guys out here been doing it much longer and haven't made it to his level. Can't wait to see this truck get back to life. All the potential of being a show stopper.
Hello Blue on Black I got the same reply as you did from your comment on the latest Johnnie Cash vog did you respond? Just seeing if it’s legit ty GB
@@grantburechailo1631 no I didn't, I figured it was a scam.
@@blueonblack3971 Just a heads up anything with a text or telegram number saying you won something like that comment above if seen. Is a scam bot going around on all of CZcams. So if you see any click report instead of reply. That way we can slowly let CZcams know there is an issue with this. That is if they even listen to us.
Anytime you see the text me @(Instagram etc)... It's a scam. And NO CZcamsr contacts you in the comment section to tell you that you won.
Thank you for saving another one Tim. The way our country is going the old iron will be the only thing left on the roads. Can't wait to see Johnny Cash walk the dog. Great driving skills Travis you have came so far in a short time.
time to wake up the neighbors with big rigs rolling through. I lived about a half mile from a truck stop and I still could here those big rigs at night.
keep on trucking ,, glad to see you saving this old hardware and rolling stock and putting it back to work ,,i love the old stuff ,,i've never personally run across a 1693 CAT in a truck but one of the farms i work for has a gigantic diesel generator powered by a 1693
That old stuff is GOLD!
Tim, my 1994 Georgia Boy Swinger 32' Spartan Chevy 6.5l turbo diesel motor coach has spring steering, 94k on it and it works surprisingly well. However it has 4 wheel disc brakes front n rear. Pulls my 1980 Formula 302 a 30' twin 454ci mercruiser i/o's on an all aluminum 1982 Float-On tri-axle trailer with no brakes, 9800 pounds dry weight and stops it with no problem even with no engine brake on the engine. I miss the 70's and 80's and the outlaw days of trucking. It was fun back then! Most of the "Left Lane Gang" are all gone now. I was in my late teens and early 20's in those days. Ran many a mile with Southern Shaker the most infamous outlaw trucker to run the roads. But when he was ready to truck he'd just drop a couple of gears and bury you in a cloud of black smoke and he was gone. Scary part of that was we were already running triple digits and he'd just run away like I was sitting on jacks. You'd have loved to been trucking in those days!
Another old cabover gonna be resurrected from the grave,as a kid I can remember the old combo version going up and down the interstate and the black smoke coming out the stacks, those were the days, that's why I became a diesel mechanic!
Hope you are having a great evening! Love the content I know you are busy man so stay safe out there brother!
Can't wait to see it running and then restored. Thanks for sharing with us Tim. Love y'all's channel feel like part of the family going out doing these projects. Always something new to learn.
That is Where The Term Freight Shaker Came from these old Non airbagged Leaf Springers Without Front Brakes they'd Stop better and straighter and they pulled better and no computers to D-Rate em and no Hog urine (def) to ruin the internals Tim Well Done cannot wait to see ole Cash on the highway
That’s gonna be a hell of a cool rig when you’re finished fixing it up. Looking forward to watching the updates.
So many drivers out there know nothing about the history and legacy of the profession. Guys like you honor the past by keeping it alive. Great video.
Tim I love how you include Braxton in everything ya'll do. Great to see Travis back on the channel also with that beautiful Peterbuilt .Good job guys love the content can't wait to see more on Johnny Cash truck.

I've learned that when the haters come out and try and put you down. Your doing it right. Haters should be your biggest cheerleaders.
When I was a kid my dad drove trucks. He had many friends that did. I was around when they rebuilt a Emeryville. It was so damn cool. And the sound it had. That’s something I have never forgot. Love what your doin. Never to many gentry videos.
Thats awesome, i hope u get to take than man on a ride, when haul a load out, to the left coast, i really think it he would enjoy, it, and ain't no telling what stories ud get, with him going down the road, it could be epic.
Id love to find an old cabover or one of the old school 60s or 70s rams, I am amazed with style of the rigs ram made & love the big ram horns they used.
Same here
Dodge & old B models gets me going, love to find one of each , big ram, short nose and cab over

Thanks brother that’s awesome I appreciate it
Would love to see Johnny Cash come back for the trailer and let Stan take her for a run. What a great guy. Thanks for sharing.
Seeing that old freight shaker just reminds me of the ones my dad drove back in the 80’s for Lee Way. Tim I bet your dad remembers that trucking company. I’m glad to see someone’s gonna give that old cabover life again.
Save the Cab Overs!!
And with this whole DEF shortage caused by our government with your older trucks you’ll still be on the road when all these new trucks ain’t.
Keep the old iron rolling
You should take Stan along to MATS next year, he'd be like a kid in a candy store, along with the hrs of storytelling from a legend
The stories from the owner of that truck are gold, It never ceases to amaze how tough the previous generations were, I cannot wait to see that truck when its done, Tim if you are feeding guys this year at Christmas , I will come in from St Louis and help , Last Christmas I had covid and could not be around my friends or family first time , ever so my offer stands ,
Whiskey bent is a freaking beast I love that truck great video Tim can’t wait to see it all done up
This was truly an amazing video, seeing the Johnny Cash making it's first step towards a new start of life to head down another highway, getting them wheels to turning and the smoke rolling and going through the gears, building speed and rolling down the highway . I can't hardly wait to see it all fixed up and back on the road .
Wishing you all the very best, in putting life back it . I would love to see you all taking Stan on a road trip, bringing back old memories and telling stories of days gone by . I will be looking forward to more videos on this rebuild, so you all stay safe and keep on trucking and it was great to see Travis play an important part in this great story of the Johnny Cash truck . Braxton done a great job on his part of the filming, making this a great video .
As always, Jeffrey !!!
🤗👍💖💫

Tim, Johnny Cash, is a great part of the history of the trucking industry. It could not go to a better historian to make itvrun
I am glad to see someone is restoring history I drove many cabovers until I got my first Pete conventional I kind of miss the cab over but I wouldn’t give up my 369 Pete I enjoy all your videos you really do a professional job with your company
Hey Tim good luck with your new project love thoes old truck it's going to be a nice truck when you get it done god bless you and family and crew have a good week
One of the first trucks I ever drove and learned was a White/Freightliner! Brings back memories, for sure! Thanks for uploading this video!
Good video- Tim and Travis. Reminds me of my first oversized load. Got my cdls and after a month hauling equipment was sent on job hauling a combine from the field. Had to turn around on a narrow two road and park in a amish guys lot and walk half a mile down the road . The farmer said he used it in the past but did not say how long. Took an hour and a can of either and a spare fuel jug with new filters , it moved. Got it loaded on the landoll tilt bed with drop pockets and on the way out snagged a cable line . Finally got back to the shop and it sat for months and finally had to haul it to the auction and ended up getting a did not sale tag and was driven over to the junk yard . Never know what the day entails could be an hour or could be 6 hours. Good experience because it builds knowledge.
Awesome to see whiskey bent 👍🏻man beautiful truck , I can’t wait to see how awesome this old cabbie gonna turn out , y’all gentry’s have a magic touch to this old iron , I’m loving every minute of it , Thank y’all so much for your content and transparency on your channels

Tim, Hello Matey, from sunny old England
Fantastic life lessons, and one of your best videos.
The respect that you showed to the previous owner of your new purchase was a great pleasure to watch and appreciate, and to have Braxton by your side to witness this is a fantastic learning process that he will surely take on board
Giving the pat on the back to your driver Travis, TOP MAN, it is always great to be appreciated by your employer
I wish you nothing but the best
Not being spitefull, but the guy from connecticut, has yet to learn 10% of the people skills and values that you have in abundance
GOOD MAN

Thanks Tim , u rock 👊😎
When I worked for my buddy’s dad’s truck shop in Birmingham back in the late 90’s to early 2000’s a Cat engine was considered one of the best. You had Detroit 60 series and Cummins N14’s and such. I mainly run the service truck and did clutches and such. I wasn’t an engine builder but I did help my buddy with them.
Thanks for posting! I enjoy watching your videos better than whats on TV.
reminds me of the times when i used to go with my oldman on runs when I was a kid!, luvit! Been drivin semi""s for half my life, still luv your vids!!!!!
I learned to drive in a cab over just like this one. I worked at consolidated freight ways in the seventies. You Learned how to backup in a hurry in this truck, as it had no power steering, no hydraulic clutch, so you had to just about stand up on the clutch to depress it. No AC in the day, and how I miss it. Can't wait to see what you do with this beautiful truck..
Great driving Travis, it just takes patience, and a cool head. Cheers from Australia.
i love your son when he is so happy to be with his dad love this ch leak master plumbing aka edbonjovi
That was AWSOME. I would love to drive Whiskey or America. Johnny Cash is amazing.
Tim ignore the haters. I'd give anything to be able to drive the older trucks an equipment anytime. To much electronics on the new stuff. Love the videos and channel. Ty for showing us all parts of your life and business and family. Your channel is the only one that I actually watch the videos from start to end without skipping. Can't wait to hear the old girl fire up.
Tim love the videos and love the lights on Travis' truck it's awesome rolling bright 🌞 I miss mine I drove over the road for over 20 years would love to get back into it again someday.

Well you know what you have to do is take Stan for a ride once you get it ready for the road. And that's not junk those are beautiful pieces of equipment that are being rescued from their grave. I can't wait to see when you get done with that truck and trailer
Tim, one of your better videos. Your interaction with the elder gentleman was very good. Couldn't help but notice the G on your rear window. Go Dawgs!
I really like the sound of the exhaust brake, it brings back memories of my high school years.
Hey Tim keep all of us up to date with Johnny cash the cabover.
I loved truckin back in the day! I drove a 77 COE Pete with manual steering and 400 bigcam 3/ 13 over!!
I was just thinking about Whisky Bent the other day, Man I luv that truck! The Black and Silver Seminole paint scheme is killer!
Whiskey bent has got to be one of the best looking working trucks on the road I love that thing
Seen Whiskey Bent today. I agree Tim . That’s one sexy unit.✌🏼😎 Your channel and Bruce Wilson’s are my favorite channels. Bruce is the first channel I started watching. And he introduced your channel. Which is awesome brother. I love old trucks.
That's tough ain't junk son! That's treasure! I drive one of them things any day over this new junk! They can keep this stuff. I often switch with other drivers when they got a old lease truck that's a manual transmission and got a Detroit Diesel in it I'll go ahead and give him my turn down Cummins! Love you guys love you videos keep them up brother

My brothers Ex daddy in law has Johnny's old black KW and show trailer sitting in one of his back yards in Guntersville Al, he drove the big truck and a limo for years. He retired driving for J Cash, it was his present from him, the real truck and trailer, literally.
Good luck with the new CABOVER it looks like it will be amazing when done the way you want.

That is a beautiful truck, one of the best trucks you got!
