I saw this movie last night it was so much better then i expected to be i really believed Sandra's character and could tell she did a great job mirroring Leigh Anne i didn't want the movie to end it was that good
i just watched the movie! Sandra Bullock did nail it, i thought she was perfect for the role! She's such a great person, and this movie made me laugh and cry and she made me feel like part of their family! It's so sweet!
This is with out a dought or hesitation the best movie of 2009. It touches you deep inside your heart to know that this man went from rags to riches and that this family was amazing to do the things that they did for him. Michael Ohers Story is like no others. He is one of the best tackles in the NFL and This has to be my favorite movie of all time. This movie indicates that you can do anything if you try and Michael Oher is a perfect example of that. I just saw the movie last night and Michael is really a "Gentle Giant". There were 2 places right in the beginning where I had a lump in my throat as large as a Grapefruit and tears gushing out of my eyes like a Tsunami. It was where Mrs. Touhy STOPPED THE CAR and made Michael get in when she saw "he was walking in the dead winter with no coat and no place to live." The other was when Michael said he "never had a bed before". SJ was also awesome and they bonded so well as "big and little Bros".

Sandra Bullock. She's a thing of beauty. If I could just meet her. When I lived in Austin TX which is where she lives I was fortunate to go to a couple of High-exclusive events. Of course she was not there. But I would dream of it. She is a wonderful human being. Love you Sandra!!!

I just read an article where Leigh Anne told Michael that she loved him when he was eighteen...he had never heard that before. Michael then said he couldn't wait to be a dad so he could tell his kids he loved them all the time. Michael Oher...I am not a football fan...but I am now a fan of yours! God bless you!

@moecat1000 watch the movie again and pay attention - there is a very central theme to the movie that there IS a God. Also listen to & read the interviews with Sandra Bullock - about how she didn't want this part and didn't believe a woman like this really existed until she met her and talked to her.

Tim McGraw in with Sandra Bullock in a movie? She must have avoided communication with Faith Hill like the plague. Hill is known to be an itchbay with anything that involves her possession. Just my opinion. Bullock is lucky she pulled through, hopefully with as little contact with McGraw in the movie . I really like her as a person and an actress. Hill though, hah, no comment.

This movie inspired Sandra so much that she took the initiative to adopt a black child in real life. HMMM! However, I think that child is better off with her.

God is not a puppet master, he gave us free will. Jesus said that ALL the laws and prophets God has ever given us are summed up in two commandments: Love the Lord with all your heart soul and mind, and likewise, love your neighbor as yourself. God also said that we are not to judge others- Christians are _required_ to comply with that!
@TruthHurtzAllDaTime Um, it's kind of ironic that while you're complaining about racism you're also using "Jew" as a derogatory term, which is rude, to say the least. And I believe that the characters in the movie are Christian, which is quite different from being Jewish. Besides, I think that if you ignore the different skin colors you can still discover (what I believe to be) the true meaning of the movie.
@moecat1000 If God forced humans to do the things he wanted them too we wouldn't be humans with free will. We would be robots and God would be a slave owner. God has made it clear, through his messenger Jesus, exactly how we are to treat people. Free will is God given and it is up to each of us to use it with others in mind. A fallen mankind commits all kinds of evils against others in their selfish greed- shun God and his teachings, but that does not mean that God doesn't exist!
