I swear this video came at the right time. I was wondering what the hell kind of insect I found in my house and come to find out, it's an earwig!
I use a tuna can with just a bit of oil. Then we cover it with a flower pot saucer to keep the sprinklers from filling it up with water. Works for ants too.
I have no problems with earwigs right now they haven't hurt my plants to bad. For now they are friendly eating the aphids and what not I am having trouble with. One thing I noticed when hand pollinating is thrips in my cuke flowers lots of them. Been dealing with squash bugs as well. The squash bugs are challenging at the moment because I planted tight so these giant zucchini and squashes are a jungle to sort through. Producing finely though

Earwig cost me 3 nights of no AC because they got on my ac contactor
My son just found one in between the glass on the microwave door. I'm over these things randomly popping up in my kitchen. I've sprayed around our home but they just keep coming.
Now I'm going to trap them just to see where they are hiding out.
What kind of oil? Cooking oil (what kind?) Motor oil?
Cooking oil...it's in the background...doesn't matter what kind
Wondering if this works for ants? I’m going to give it a try!
