I'm intrigued by the Japan only model SBG097. it's a 9F quartz with a rather interesting greenish dial. It's almost impossible to find pictures of it, but i have seen it on forums. It comes on a stunning brown croc strap.
If its possible to get your hands on either the SBGY002 or SBGY003 would be awesome as its a LE.. my fav if I ever have to choose a dress piece from GS.. 😁

I've had the watch since it was released in the US and love it even to this day. Even though it looks like a basic watch there are minor details that you'll find even after months of use. A couple things you didn't cover were the case back and the lume. Both of those are very, very cool and notable. If you know the watch you know the case back. The lume, on the other hand, is the exact same color blue as when Shin Godzilla was about to blow off a bit of steam. It's intense and very noticeable. I also found that in pitch darkness the indicies are so polished they reflect the lume in such a way it's like three dimensional bars floating within the dial. Something to look for if you own the watch.
A very hot watch indeed. The strap also looks like lava as it starts to cool. The facetted case is reminiscent of early Grand/King Seikos writ large. A refreshing and bold design for those with enough money to make it part of high level collection. This is not an everyday beater.

I would really prefer the hand wound model you were holding at the start, but that's because I like yourself find a pleasure in winding my watch every day. They also made a watch inspired by the automotive enthusiast's Godzilla - none other than the Nissan GT - R, a car so fast, it almost broke Jeremy Clarkson's neck when he tried launching it. Because it's from Japan, and it could decimate any other supercar because it's so fast, it also got the title of Godzilla.
Godzilla is important because it popularized the tokusatsu series(which literally means special effect.) The tokusatsu series or genre consists of: -Kamen rider -Power Ranger -Ultraman -Kaiju etc. It is a big part of nerd and pop culture. It may be a big part of someone's childhood or/and their current hobby. Btw, I do love the case shape.

Always follow the same exact pattern to make your videos look professional.. not necessarily you mention that starting with case shape then say now coming to polishing... Just start talking about case and then fluently merge the next thing in your list

I mean it's a great watch, especially the new automatic movement divers. I just thought the intro was over cooked and ultimately a watch should judged by its function and accuracy, not it's appearance.
Agree to disagree. While functions & the movement is important, how the watch looks is equally as important. You have to like the way the watch looks as well. Sorry to hear you didn't like the intro! Most enjoy the nice cinematic touches, it's the style of the channel.

Shin Godzilla is an amazing film and this watch is a terrific 65 year anniversary watch. One day I'll get one of the 650 pieces made.
