I got one 114060, mostly worn on a NATO because of comfort reasons, and like it very much. It's a simple, yet reliable timepiece, no thrills. It gets wrist time daily expect when traveling in cities like Paris, Naples or Marseille. Then it's a Casio for obvious reasons.

The oversized bracelet is a major flaw. 22mm? the watch weighs 177g compared to 150g on their other stainless tell watches. It looks weird. Why can't grand seiko ever just make a watch that isn't weird in one way or another?

I think the perfect GS is the SBGA293. Same case, but a little longer, a little wider at 40, a little thinner at 12.8, 100 w/r. That said, the 221 has the superior dial with that glossy cream as opposed to the parchment dial of the 293. Still beautiful, but that gloss and blue GMT hand.

Tudor are fantastic watches. The problem is that too many people view them as a cheaper alternative to Rolex. They are basically the Porsche Boxster of the watch world. A poor persons version of the the better item that they only buy because you can't afford what they REALLY want. Which is actually ridiculous. Poor people don't wear Tudor watches nor do they drive Porsches.

Mustang vs m3 is bad comparison 40k vs 80k car, no one buys mustang vs m3 to save money it is sold in that price class so does many Other things Not sure why people think Tudor is Rolex how can 4K tudor and 10k Rolex are same. Absolutely endless ridiculous argument by every you tuber. The only and only help Tudor get is the trust that it is by Rolex and quality will be there at that price point not Rolex price point. I must admit, o don’t intuitively associate heft with quality I’ll add that I don’t exactly equate something that’s light as by definition the opposite of a hefty object in terms of quality. I don’t know if that comes from being involved in cycling, back packing and other activities where heavy was often, though not always associated with clunky and compromise. It’s not difficult to recalibrate.
