    Did you ever fix the TV? Is there a part 2 ? I have the same problem. I got the flashing emblem to stop by pushing down volume, Chanell up, and power all at the same time. But never got back light to light. Never heard a click from relay on board. Don’t get the 400 vdc @ the 3 caps you show 170 vdc on. That’s what I get is 170 vdc. Is it safe to say it’s power supply because I don’t here a relay click if I have 5 vdc on PSON?

    Any follow up? Did you wind up finding out what was the issue?

    Hi, i have a sharp LC-60LE650U that stopped working when my house got struck by lightning a couple weeks ago. I tested the power board using your tips and determined that the board was bad. I got a replacement power board from eBay and installed it. I checked all the voltage again and everything seems to be the same as yours except that when i press the power button, i get 7.5V instead of 12V on pin 1. The TV still doesn't turn on but the LED at the bottom on the TV has a fast flash and a slow flash.
    I should mentioned that i didn't check the voltage output to the LEDs. Not sure what these should be reading. Im assuming that the power board i bought is oK since i get some lights but i get worried with the 7.5V. Could that be the main board?
    Please let me know what you think. I tried the reset sequence and i still don't get anything.

    Do you have any links to or have a schematic for this power supply. I have one with a 1-1. Looks like the transformer has been getting pretty hot and also a few thin resistors have some browning on the board around them.

    i have the same exact TV that is complete dead. Change the main board and now it power on and off thru the remote only, but there is no sound, image.also, it doesn't power on nor respond manually. could did be my problem? i don't want to keep trowing monies at something not worth to repair.

      @coppelltvrepair  Před 6 lety

      If I have to guess I'd say your main board failed and the one you bought is not good as well.
      Everything is possible, of course, this is just an educated guess.

      If its a LCD model is a dead lamp and the inverter shut down after 1 secound to protect the circuit, its hapens to me, i add a paralel led bypassing in this lamp and voala all works fine without changing the lamp.

      Do not remember what code 1-1 is off the top of my head, sorry. Look for service manual for the model online if you want to take on it by yourself or for a repair service at a local TV repair shop.

    you need to jump stby and dimmer with 5v in order to activate voltage to the panel.

    friend, I have the same board, I have the voltages in the primary board, but in the secondary I have not even the 5 volts could you give me a hand? Where can I start from? Thank you and hugs from Brazil.

    • @coppelltvrepair
      @coppelltvrepair  Před 5 lety

      I am truly sorry...I do not remember anything from all this. You should treat this as a usual power board standby failure and check both primary and secondary side. Often times on the secondary it's the rectifying diode; on the primary it may be several different things..on those boards it's the zero point crossing detection IC that tends to fail.

    • @lordklark
      @lordklark Před 5 lety

      Ok, thank you very much, I will do the tests, which IC of the primary part would be ?.

    Hi good day I have this same error code. Is it safe to say it’s definitely the power supply?

    • @coppelltvrepair
      @coppelltvrepair  Před 6 lety +1

      It is hardly ever safe to make definite statements based on indication alone. If you find a busted component (including an open fuse) on a board it is definitely safe to say there is a problem with it. And even then it is not definite that the board is bad - I've seen and documented boards where SMD capacitors blow and the board continues to work just fine.

      Do not remember it off the top of my head, sorry. But you can find the service manual online and see what the error code 2 and 2 is. It is pretty common.

      Im sorry that was a harsh comment. I got five “super-mega-ultra-pro-electricians” here and apparently somebody got zapped by charged capacitor or something. And since this is my account, let me apologize for that comment.
      If one watches your video carefully, it has a lot of good info. But theres always somebody with little patience.
      Thank you for video and thank you for being kind.

      So sorry to have disappointed you! Now take the challenge and do a video to show everyone how it's done and help them troubleshoot along the way...
