LOVED this tutorial - so many helpful hints! I did NOT, however, like the music - I found it irritating and unpleasant. I watched to the end though, because the content was so great! Thanks again for all your help!
Thanbks, yes, sorry, my editing wasn't very good in the beginning but I have little or no music in my more recent videos x
How lovely! This was so inspiring and I wish I could do this! I even looked for such curly wool online, it is so beautiful. I am still a beginner, creating simple flies and bugs for now, but I love this craft so much. It calms me down!
It's so therapeutic and give yourself some time, you will be able to create one of these, it's just practice, practice, practice x
I got my Wensleydale wool, tomorrow…going to give your cute sheep a go!
Brilliant, hope it goes well x
Omg I may have found my craft calling due to this very video!!!!Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Lots of us are addicted to it, I hope you enjoy it if you have a go xx
I just got Wendy in the mail today! She is beautiful! I couldn’t be more pleased except to have more sheep like her. .Your work is exceptional!
Thank you so much, I am so pleased she is happy with you, thanks for watching and commenting x
This is so great Phillipa, I do not enjoy taking classes, I can’t afford them, plus I always feel so stupid because my brain doesn’t work like most! I can follow your video, rewind as much as I need to! Thank you so much!
CZcams has so many great videos now too that you can learn so much, thanks for watching ❣️
I’ve been watching all kinds of
Videos! I swear, you can learn anything off CZcams!
so beautifull/I just found real sheep skin!love your creativity
Thanks so much ❣️
Thank you so very much. This video and all you share in it is beautiful. You are a honey!! Bless you for all you so generously share with your viewers!
Thank you, you are most kind and watching and commenting helps my channel lots so thank you xx
I love your videos. They've been superbly helpful in getting me started at this craft. I've had a lot of fun so far! Also, your creations are stunning and really inspiring! It amazes me how close you're able to bring the finished piece to the real thing. I'm more into making fantasy creatures (whimsical and bad at following references XD), but still I love your work~ Fantastic!
Thank you so much! I still feel I have a lot to learn, glad you like my channel, thanks so much for watching xx
Thank you so much Philippa! Beautiful work, wonderfully explained! Greetings from Chile.
Wow, Chile! How fantastic, thanks for watching x
❤ Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial!!!!
Excellent job!!🌺
Glad you liked it ❣️
I am so thankful I found you. You are terrific to learn from and so informative and explain all the nuances that are so important to someone that is so new to needle felting. I watched your videos for two weeks before attempting anything or even buying anything.. Thank you so much for all your wonderful tutorials..I am at present working on a bauble sheep and a pumpkin or two.
Wow, thank you, that's very kind, I just wanted to explain and answer all the questions I had when I first started. The projects I do are just what I make and I think it's so much easier once someone breaks it down and shows the steps. Thanks for your lovely comment and for watching x
That is insanely cute! Thanks for the tutorial!
You are very kind, thanks!
So adorable! I learned some helpful techniques.
Thank you so much and glad it helped! x
So lovely !!! I never heard of felting before, and now I'd like to give it a try. Lil' sheep are such cute creatures ! 😊
It's great fun and very therapeutic, hope you enjoy it x
@@feltsbyphilippa I'm sure I would ! 😊
Beautiful! Thank you .
Adorable! Thank you for sharing. I wish I lived in the UK so I could easily (and affordably) source the same supplies you use - especially your wools. I frequently learn about different supplies on your channel that look amazing, but it requires shipping to US, which gets spendy. Still, love watching and learning from you.
Glad you like my sheep, yes, it's hard to get a really good supplier, I do mention some US ones in this video towards the end and Etsy might have some US based smaller sellers, thanks for watching x

I love.♥️♥️
Parabéns adoro seus trabalhos.
Thank you so much ❣️ x
Muito lindo 😍
I enjoyed learning how to make this sheep! I found the background music however, quite distracting and it made it harder to focus on hearing your voice.
Yes, apologies for that, my editing wasn't very good in the beginning but much better now on my more recent videos xx
Perfectas tus ovejitas
Hello

Esta tecnica pues no la se hacer no la conocia es largo tiempo

Hi, Phillipa, your sheep is adorable! Might I ask you how long it took you to make it?
Thank you, this one was about 3 to 4 hours maybe x
❤️❤️❤️
I have sooo many questions! I love your videos. I’m starting my first sheep (this is my second felting project) so my biggest concern is how do you make the sheep look like a particular breed rather than just a general “sheep”. I’m sure this comes with experience but I’d like to learn this as I go. And do you have a website?
Hi Kat, thank you for watching and enjoying my videos, I think with sheep breeds an easy starter is different markings such as a black face or black legs or grey wool, curly wool etc. Then you look into shape, some sheep are small with thin faces, some have broad faces. I am still experimenting with all this too as I love sheep breeds. I don't have a website yet but hope to next year. Do ask questions and hopefully I can answer them, good luck with your second felt! Exciting times x
Супер,вы профессионал!
Thank you x
I am new to using wire in needle felting. Can you give me an idea if how long the legs and back should be approx. It would be much appreciated.
Hi Barbara, I would have the legs between 3-4 inches and the back between 4-5 inches, sometimes my felts get too big so I'm always trying to rein them in! Good luck and thanks for watching x
What wool is that please, it looks so good to felt with
the coat is teeswater locks and the rest is a shetland carded x
Olaa. Taoooo linda!!!!!!!!!! A eniciar da gostar muito!!!!!!! Bjsss
Thank you x
Any tips getting the face to look right.
I do cover animal faces in another video but face needs to be smooth, don't make the eyes too big, narrow the head size down to the nose, black eyeliner around the eyes and ears pointing down or forwards looks good x
How do you wash a fleece? It’s probably obvious but I would love to try to do it. I like the idea of using local wool. I’m guessing a fleece is cheaper too?
Yes, here's my video on washing locks and check out other wool channels for more advice on washing x
czcams.com/video/xWkK5tL0ko8/video.html
Is there a clearer way of making the armature? I find its too quick for me😢
My wire armature video covers it clearly for you x

I've been looking for the felting kit for the Wensleydale sheep but cant find it. Where can I find it? Elizabeth
I don't have a kit for this one, it's just a tutorial here x
I've been asked by a friend to make her a Hair Sheep. Any suggestions on how to make it short hair??
I have a video on sheep coats in my sheep playlist, one of those techniques might helps xx
@@feltsbyphilippa thanks!!!!
Adorable! our sheep are not Wendleydales do you have any suggestions? They are Jacob and Merino...thanks....xo
Is that for using wool from your own sheep or trying to make those breeds, you can curl merino wool so it looks like Wensleydale x
Philippa where do you buy your wool supplies?
World of Wool, online, UK based or Heidi Feathers, link in my description of videos to Heidi Feathers. Longer locks are off Etsy, look for Teeswater or Wensleydale locks x
What company did you buy your Wensleydale wool from. Thanks Christine uk
I go on Etsy for locks a lot, just check price and weight, I also use fleece4ewe on Facebook, zoe Robson, excellent locks and a huge range x
Were did you get your felt pillow
Hi Laura,
Think I replied a while ago but I made it out of hessian,
Thanks for asking x

Might you do a cat tutorial one day? I've been trying to work out the head and it's just not coming together. Thanks 😊
Maybe one day, don't think I am too good at them, this lady shows snippets of the process and her work is stunning, have a look through her channel x
czcams.com/video/9Fs2hPlrq8M/video.html
@@feltsbyphilippa Thanks for sharing that! Also, I'll bet you're better than you think. I mean, look at those horses! Those can't be easy and yet you rock them. Great channel, btw. I'm not a very good needle felter, but am inspired to try and got a good book (because you suggested it) and made something that looks pretty decent.
Thanks so much, very kind of you, the horses take me ages but I do enjoy them, good luck with your felting journey x
