I reused altoid tins for terraforming mars. I also made match boxes for Wingspan player tokens. After you make one, it’s easy!

Also environmentally friendly if you use single use plastic food containers as opposed to burying them in landfill, they are already produced and many are recycle. From little pots with lids to bigger trays. I understand plastic free but buying them and creating demand or more resource usage when there are mountains of plastic containers everywhere.

Tinder matchboxes instantly came to my mind when you talked about the candy boxes :-)

I think the first tips are actually the best and more useful: reuse stuff you already have. I liked a lot the idea from the candy boxes (is a shame but I don't recall to see something like that where I live) and the old medicine bottles. That last one is super USA, in Europe we don't get medicine like that.
I am not sure if I liked the idea of using the tins inside the box. Those vintage looked rusty(?) and I am afraid metal will damage stuff inside. But having it to put resources on the table would be something I like to have.
Having this, I already have way too many plastic bags at home xD I got a few when I started and also kept the extra ones when games come with way too many. I have Res Arcana's expansion box full with them. So I will keep using them and reusing things I find useful in the house. Thanks for these ideas!

So cool! I was happy with your replies by comment, a video reply is AMAZING! Lots of great ideas, I especially like the thematic reuse ideas! I do make my family laugh (groan really) because anything that comes in a baggy I say 'look, it even came with board game storage!' I suppose we've done other things like I keep some board game expansion boxes or other nice boxes for print and play projects. I got some custom player pieces made for Wingspan and they were delivered and are stored in a nice magnetic flap box from a fit it. Thanks again!!!

I ordered tea sampler sets, they usually have multiple tins and I've used them for games...
