I made the decision to do this at my last yard sale. Hurt my heart to get rid of things I loved but I just don’t have the room, no matter how I try to organize🫤
I’m in the process of moving into my own craft room. I’m blessed + getting the sunroom which is upstairs and the wall space is minimal because of all windows! I had to get rid of so much and honestly - it was stuff I loved but never used! I donated over 50 punches! I was just overwhelmed! I use to hate spending on organizing instead of stamps + dies but I’ve learned my lesson! Stick with it and you will be surprised at how much more you end up loving the space!
I used a large set of plastic drawers for my ribbon storage. Mine has wheels on the bottom to store under my craft table. It has three drawers. I got mine at Walmart but have seen them other places as well. This has worked well for years

Wow. Your craft room is amazing. Mine is all over the place I am wheelchair bound (30 plus years) and finding space and access is really difficult to manage as everyone has to be at waist height.my craft room has to be used for hanging laundry and disability stuff such as wheelchairs, standing hoist and other supplies so my room get pretty cramped ad difficult to organise but I do try. Crafting keeps me sane.

Those plastic white bins from Dollar Tree are what I use in my toddler classroom. Their toilet habits are individual so every couple of months I use a dry erase marker on the front and write current toileting habits. This way if anyone fills in for me they have all the details. The marker washes off with no color residue.

I enjoyed your video very much. One thing I do with all my bottles of paint is I store them upside down so the color shows and then group similar colors. It takes up the top of a rolling cart along with my paint brushes 😊

Also great for storing varying sizes of small plastic craft bags, especially if you do craft shows and need certain sizes.

Courtney, I use those narrow picture shelves for my ribbon. They have a lip and hold the rolls. That way I know what I have and what I may need. My brother in law made them for me and made the bases about an inch wider than a store bought one. Easy to make, easy to paint and easy to put up. Win, win, win!

Courtney! I used to work at Micheals, and the craft room sink would get messy with paint. Scuba it with powder cleaner and a scrub daddy or scrubber of choice. (try and keep the paint out of the drain) . THEN, use baby oil on a soft cotton ball or disposable cloth. Rub down the sink where you get paint. Wipe off the excess. This should make it mymuch easier next time

In my craft room I use similar cubbies to hold up a 4’ X 6’ table my husband made. But, instead of the backing that came with the cubbies I used white pegboard. I hang my Cricut mats, all the metal wreath shapes from $ tree, and anything else that fits.

I love my craft table like yours! I picked the 9 cubbies in black spaced 6 feet apart then cut a board from Home Depot to place on top, then covered with flannel/vinyl tablecloth (for looks - Disney is the theme of my craft room) and then used silicone mats placed where needed for painting, glue etc. Such a great and not so expensive idea! I am defiantly going to look into some of your storage ideas, love the ribbon one and a few others. I use nail polish racks for my paint bottles, but I will be adding the paint to the top as you suggested to see each at a glance. Thanks for sharing your amazing ideas and thoughts!!!

Wow Courtney. That room is massive. Great ideas. Small spaces will require some overthinking to make good use of space. Vertical storage and using wall spaces are key. For ribbons you canpurchase a tension rod to hold multiple spools either hung on the wall with command strips (apartment friendly) or utilizing the tension feature within your windows. My craft room is 12x11 and very chaotic and disorganized. I just had my granddaughter remove everything today so I can try and declutter and get organized. I did have the same size room that you have for my craft room but my granddaughter moved in and took that area over.😞 Now I’m trying to cram stuff from that size room into the smaller area and it’s not fun and it’s very overwhelming but I did get some good ideas from your video.

Wow! Lots of room! Happy you have so much space. I invested in a DREAMBOX and it is awesome! I use my dining room table for crafting. I can see and reach for almost everything. I have a Kallax as well for bigger things. It’s nice to expand as you go and use what works for you. 🥰👏👍
My dream craft room space. I wish you had that space. I have too much stuff and finding a good place to store them that is visible for me to see and know what I got is hard.
