  • Thokoza,
On the morning show today, we gave an explanation and demonstration on ukupahla (ukuthetha nabaphansi) and handling dreams. The most important part is that where we spoke of the use of imphepho. Please listen carefully to this part of the episode.
We are very quick to go consult this is where we should start. This process will also protect us from being misled by a healer.
Please watch and let us know if there is anything you still do not understand.

Apparently no one taught me to phahla I just picked it up from the spirit, I was amazed to come across this, like excuse me I do this I just never understood why. I lit my candles and when I was talking my candles would light brighter ,it was like it's a competition 🤣 I ended up laughing and I felt so special and fought for . My dad's side candle consumed first and my mom's was slow, but in the end my mom's side is still lit even after the candle is finished just the rope burning. Even from dad's no traces of a candle ever being lit, this is interesting thou I use sea water I don't even understand how and why I just do, and put pillows around

We all have duties. We are the ancestors of our future selves (future generations). Therefore we must set aside our difference and form alliances without considering the groups that have inherited unsettling truths.

Certainly appears to be a Good Practice to develope over time.

Of course, writing my dreams down, well...I have not.

Thokoza🙏🏽 Well here is my situation on impepho im the only surviving boy child left on my father’s side of the family both my father and uncle passed away and I don’t live with my mother she lives out of the country, my question now is how do I perform this because my father passed when i was 5 yo never had a male figure and I recently went to look for my fathers grave for the first time and I want to connect with him and my ancestors more plus I keep having these strange dreams i have tried to search for the meanings on Google but solid answer. Can i use ukupahla?

I have a question, I am raised by a single mother and recognize my mothers side ancestors and I have never had an issue with my fathers side in that they never really pop up even when I consult, so what I want to know is do I have to use 2 candles even though I just want to communicate with my mothers side of the family? Can’t I just use one candle because I just want to talk to my mothers side ancestors.

Umsamo Institute syabonga kakhulu with the information I do hope we get more and more info intense videos like such in future. I do have a few questions please bear with me. Question one umuntu angaphahla kuphi? Emsamo maybe? Secondly, what time is most appropriate to phahla at? Thirdly if you use sea water, amanzi olwandle adungekile most of the time so with that said is it still appropriate to ask your ancestors to make things clear as the aforementioned water since edungekile, and also uyasfaka yini ishlabathi solwandle along with that sea water? Lastly ukzalwa wembethe does it make a difference in how you phahla? Apologies for the essay.

Thokoza Khehla... I’m one of the guilty parties when it comes to impepho mostly coz we get so many different versions when doing research. So I’m Zulu (I don’t know if this is of any significance) does the head of the household rule apply to all cultural groups or just some? Also, I saw someone speak of the direction one should face when ephahla you replied east... how strict is this rule? The coins what do they represent? Does it have to be an enamel dish? Are there different rules that apply to different genders due to women’s hormonal monthly cycle and any other rules that you deem necessary to mention? Isniff, how is it used? How much time do we give for the candles to burn, over night? Also, are there specific times during the day when it’s more convenient to phahla or when one should avoid ukuphahla or does it not matter? We Really appreciate the information you have provided here but please please please record a more elaborate episode on this, should you find the time it would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽 Thank you

Hi Umsamo, just thinking about the general logistics. So uyaphahla then you leave the candles there and go to sleep. When you wake up, the more amount unburnt candle still left - the bigger your problem on either side?

This is a very confusing practice for me. The left side for women is where you put isphandla for your father's side, whilst for men it's the opposite, does that apply here with the candles? There's a lot that's unsaid, e. g. If you're using the R1 coins, should the heads or tails be facing up. If you are not acknowledged by your father's family or the father is unknown, do you still light a candle for them?

When you get messages from your ancestors (dreams) God is talking to you through Angel's appearing with your ancestors appearance, because you know them and you will take note of that, other than some creature that you dont even know (angels).
Then that doesn't mean you should call on your ancestors for help, but you go on you knew and pray to the Father in Jesus name for clarity. The very same ancestors will come back with response from the heaven. African got it all wrong.
