In Garten of Banban 2, there is a lot off camera and hidden out of bounds. We'll be taking a closer look at Banban, Banbaleena, Jumbo Josh, Opila Bird, Slow Seline, the giant Captain Fiddles, Nabnab, and much more in this video showcasing how this game works. Enjoy!
A lot of people seem to be comparing Garten of Banban to Poppy Playtime, so since a lot of you enjoyed that game, I thought we'd dive into this one!

The reason for Nabnab appearing out of bounds for the final chase is because if you go back along the corridor after Banbaleena is crushed, you can see Nabnab peeking around the wall. You can't get to him because a stretcher is in the way

Fun fact: the model of Banban and banbaleena dancing isn’t teasing anything, they just used it for the gold figures on the cake
Please tell me that the cake figure does not have the same poly count as the full-sized thing.

fun fact: the elevator uses stolen assets! the floor of the elevator is just two scaffolds from the game portal, which is kinda insulting if your gunna sell a game on the platform owned by the company that you stole assets from.
And then they cry about people disrespecting their "game"

@@joshmay7921 Credit isn’t enough. They’d need permission to use the assets in a sold game, you can’t sell other people’s work without permission or settling some kind of agreement such as giving them a section of the profit made by the game to pay for the asset usage

That happens because the waves on the wall use a decal (or projector) and opila's model got inside of one, so it basically projects the wave texture on the walls by copy/pasting a projector along the corridor. So the devs were lazier than i tought
You can even see where the decal/projectors end. Right at the door
@@rickygamingproductions You're right, it even bleeds on the doors, the euphoric brothers should have spent more time organizing the game, it's so frustrating seeing active models around the scene that are never used or don't have a reason to be active at that moment, no way the game is so laggy, apart from the extreme poly counts. Things like these should be done correctly, not quick
@@stereomuviz Yeah, notice the Jumbo Josh Banbaleena chase. Instead of using multiple Jumbo Wumbos. They instead use the same Jumbo Gosh, and it causes some problems like where you can see Jumbo Bruh phase through the level for a bit when he punches through 2 doors to slow you down.
I guess that explains why chairs in the medical area where the giant Captain Fiddles is at will suddenly have the shiny trail/streak on the floor's texture applied to where the chair is touching it.
Th3Badd3st was doing speedruns of Banban 2 and when one of the chairs he needed fell on the streak, he genuinely thought it was clipping through the floor or that the texture was floating slightly off the ground because part of the chair changed to the texture.
And the reason banbalena doesent recieve decals is because her material has the recieve decals checkbox off
7:32 Unreal engine has this mechanic called Decals, which kind of paints pictures onto models, over textures. its good for making bullet holes when shooting, blood sprays, graffiti, ect... ect... my guess is that the lines on the walls are decals separate from the wall's textures. which means that Opila Bird isn't set to ignore those decals for some reason (like the bambalina), which then makes them paint it onto her character.
Knowing how polygon-inefficient these models are, it PAINS me that Jumbo Josh's ENTIRE body is loaded for every punch in the end chase. Half the time you only see his fists and face! Why do his legs gotta be loaded?!
And the several thousand polygon models just unused out of bounds
there is ONE scene in the game where you see his legs and he isn't even moving.
WHY DID HE NEED LEGS IN THE FIRST PLACE
usually in these kinds of games it’s way easier to load in the entire model than just the limb, poppy playtime did it. however, like you said, the amount of polygons loaded in every second is just pain

The Slow Selene looking at the sky out of bounds is her first pose when you enter her chase. She looks up giving you time to get out of the way and not immediately die.

even though that’s true, the out-of-bounds is ALWAYS as important as the gameplay. without the out of bounds, half of the game would practically be destroyed.
@@Blue-gy2it That's not entirely true. If you're talking about devs placing pre-loaded characters out-of-bounds, then sure, with those awful model the game would probably lag a lot if it tried to load them mid game. But the stuff like captain fiddles being stretched in a weird way is not that important, in a way that you can make it behave differently and it wouldn't affect gameplay in any way.
Fun fact: if you go back after banbaleena is killed the hallway will be blocked and there will have a nabnab looking at you

I liked the "You can fly?! Teach me!" secret
That was a surprise to see considering the devs. That actually made me smile and I will give them credit for the charm of adding a secret that was neither required nor likely to ever be seen by 99.9% of players. I would absolutely love to see more of that kind of attitude applied to the rest of the game, but I highly doubt that'll happen. It's a shame. Before I was just ironically amused, but now... I'm kinda sad about the state of the game and the lack of passion behind it instead of just mad that it's a cash grab.
It's not even a cash grab. All they tried to do was make another game. The first chapter was literally free.

@@strangecolouredbird No, it is absolutely a cash grab. They had a merch link on the main menu of the first game before anyone even had a chance to play it. They didn't even wait to see if people liked it or wanted merch first because they only made the game for money. They then charged $4.99 for the second game which is so lackluster and soulless compared to countless other games of equal or lower prices that it should've just been free. The voice acting from Ghepo was horrible. Dude lowkey didn't even try. The models are horrid (ever heard about the BILLION POLYGON spider?) and the game runs badly because of them. Even the graphics settings are bad. Trying to play the game with settings lower than High is terrible.
They crapped the 2nd game out in like two months, not because there worked super hard and had lots of passion like Scott Cawthon did with FNAF, but because they didn't care and figured they had enough "content" to pad out the playtime (I refuse to say gameplay when they clearly only cared about time spent "playing") enough that people couldn't finish it fast enough to get a refund, and they even screwed THAT up. I'm pretty sure the only reason they didn't put a merch link in the 2nd game is because of the backlash they got from putting it in the first.
Also fun fact: the face worm is named Zolphious based on the room you see where you turn the clock

Fun fact. Those models are horrible. Not just that they look terrible. Banban has a hire polycount than the ink demon from Bendy and the dark revival.

And this happens consistently with all models in the game, including the drone and the remote button. The remote button in particular ive heard has more polygons than the entirety of Suoer Mario 64. The thing you carry the entire game!

this is made worse by the fact that every character has pretty much other 3 models sitting around outside the map, no wonder this game can barerly run.
No wonder the game runs like shit when it uses redundant clones of ~200k tri models that are just hidden out of bounds.
U missed 2 things:) nabnab is seen when u go back up the hallway at the end of the game and the secret you see when u fire a 2nd firework in the healing area

After the chase scene, if you go back down the halls; NabNab is watching. I don't get why he watches but doesn't want to attack unless we were in the warehouse.
He knows your helping Banban, and tries to stop you. Later he's heard Banban's motives and realises his mistake and became neutral again

All of the bad model stretching and stuff (like the giant captain fiddles pulling back with his eye detaching) is due to the atrocious rigging for most if not all of these models

Simple explanation for decals showing on some characters like opela versus banbaleena is in UE apply decal set to false . I have a mod to change this on the fly... of course moving decals is a bit buggy but i can scale them so it happens if you want it to but then you are introducing non game behavior .. playing as nabnab is quite fun though

7:43 This is because of the decals from ue. They have a projection box where every surface inside of them gets this wall paint decal projected onto them

3:00 I think we do, at the end of the hallway when you open the door that leads into the dark room with opila in it, its just dark in enough to not show that the bird is actually blue, thats where the red eyes come from, then the model instantly swaps when the chase starts. (and i am talking about the hallway where banbanleana saves you from opila)
Edit: I didn't remember she always had the red eyes even on the normal version.

Does Jumbo Josh even have any bones? There's a secret in the game that shows a clay model of him being injected, likely with the substance extracted from Captain Fiddles. If this is how he was created, then that explains how weird and stretchy he is. still tho, Jumbo Josh out of bounds is super cursed

hey @HorrorScoped there is a glitch that only works in garten of banban 1 mobile for this you´ll need to get to the part opila bird chases you, then die on purpose. That´ll glitch the game making it so you can activate the chase scene before opila bird can get to the other side. Doing that will trigger both opila bird and the couch to stop which will then just make opila bird stay stuck in the maze.
