Hi how to set it to record sound in mp3 format and I'm trying to find the option but it's not there.

Press menu a few times until you see HQ, then press the REV or FF button to scroll between HQ and SP, HQ means WAV and SP means MP3. then press play to enter the selection. you can record now in MP3.
