  • What started as a humble little tavern in 1969, Red Robin has since grown into a massive restaurant empire. With their menu consisting of mouthwatering burgers and bottomless fries, it's not difficult to see why the Colorado-based franchise has expanded to over 500 locations across North America.
However, it's easy to assume the chain also faces intense competition. After all this time, though, they've remained surprisingly affordable. What tricks to they have up their sleeves that keeps them guaranteeing customers bottomless fries or lemonade by the glassful? Well, we finally know why Red Robin is so cheap.

It’s due to the fact that wages are increasing to try and make up for inflation. When you go to Red Robin from start to finish there will be at least 8 different jobs that will all play a part in serving you. You come in and all you have to do is look at a piece of paper and ask for what you want. The hours of prep that go into every ingredient, the hours we have to stay after close cleaning up after customers. It all needs to be paid for. I hate when people complain about prices bc they’re pretty much complaining that we’re able to be paid a living wage. This is a true at any restaurant not just Red Robin. They barely make any profit if at all. People love coming in and expect full service but only want to pay McDonald’s prices.

This is such a joke. I worked at red robins. First of all, every single restaurant other than multiple star uses frozen fries. Second of all the oil is used 3 times, new oil for fries, then its transferred to the deep fried food baskets, then to the fish products. Then disposed. Its reused during the night then gone.

I worked for Red Robin in Hershey Pennsylvania for 5 years and I can say unequivocally without any argument quite a few things!
    1. Yes their fries are frozen and sometimes even freezer burnt
    2. They fry their fish in the same oil they use to fry Chicken tenders, Mozzarella Sticks, Fried Zucchini etc. The fries are cooked in a separate fryer just for fries!
(Now that poses a lot of concern for people with fish allergies!!!!!)
    3. They pre-cook numerous burgers ahead of schedule and place them in a bin that sits on the flat top!
    4. They don't really pay their employees the kind of money they deserve for busting their asses the way they do!!!!
    5. If you're only scheduled to work mornings like 10am to 4pm, a lot of times they will force you to stay and work a double shift and you won't clock out until we'll after midnight to 1am!!!!
And I can go on and on but I won't because I don't need to be named a whistle-blower or anything!!!!

BUT the one thing I laughed HARD at is the video saying waiters and waitress are paid $11 an hr.....😂🤣. I laughed because I'm from Connecticut and servers are only paid a little over $6 an hour. A far cry from $11 an hour. This video badly needs a part 2 for that inaccurate info. As a busser I make $15 plus tips. But over all Red Robin is def not cheap whatsoever. Red Robin’s has a family friendly setup.. I was choked by a man playing one of the 2-3 video games when you walked in the door and went to the right in the foyer part where a greeter was posted.. I was literally held against the wall by a man and screamed between what little breaths I could gather “THIS IS NOT MY FATHER” multiple times.. during that time an employee asked if I was okay and I said “no” as loud as I could as I was being choked... a guy popped that said he was manager actually ask the man that was choking me if everything was ok.. of course the man said yes.. the manager disappeared.. maybe 10-15 seconds later the man choking me quickly left, went outside and got into his car. I went out in complete shock and my best friends parents were passing by the restaurant and stopped because I saw them and begged them to help... the man that choked me got into a blue small pick-up truck with a woman and child.. drove off. (We didn’t have cell phones then) a police officer drove through and my friends step father and mom flagged him down actually the police car passed the man’s pick-up when he was coming up..and the manager that left me while being choked by a stranger, an adult I didn’t know came out and played absolutely clueless. Happy Rockin’ Robin to you.. that was the most horrific experience in my life.

Why didn’t you take this to court? It’s not fair to blame corporate for something that happened to you in your area. What happened to you was wrong. But instead of complaining about a huge company on CZcams, you should have taken legal action on the individual business that harmed you. For 1.) when you claim wrongdoings towards woman with no reasonable evidence, it makes it harder for women who have experienced harassment to prove any wrong doings. 2.) if you were harassed and hurt badly, complaining about a company on a CZcams video is NOT the way to handle it (and if you were hurt, I’m sure you would like to be a voice for other women experiencing unlawful harassment) you’re being unprofessional and frankly, inconsiderate towards woman actually experiencing unlawful harassment. If a man was choking you, why didn’t you call the cops? Why didn’t you call the cops after the fact? You’re so open to making a CZcams comment about a man choking you, yet you can’t file a police report yourself and instead blame a Red Robin’s worker’s for “ignoring” the domestic violence. I’ve experienced domestic violence first hand, and I know it’s scary to report it. But never, would I EVER make a CZcams comment blaming others for something horrible, rather than reporting the abuse firsthand. I was hit for almost 10 years by my first love. I didn’t have the heart to file a report on him, I was scared. I lied through my teeth, stating that the bruises I had were from sports or what have you not. Your story is bullshit to me, it’s overdramatized. How do I know? Because if you were a traumatized woman, you would think about ways to protect other woman. If you were being abused, you wouldn’t just blurt it out on some random CZcams video. How about you do everyone else a favor? Stop being so selfish, and try to think about how other woman do live through trauma. And when you make some little CZcams comment, remember the impact you may be making. Woman like you, make it harder for woman actually standing up for their rights. No, it’s not feminism. It’s just saying, “hey, you are not allowed to touch my boob. You are not allowed to make sexual comments about me over and over again. I ignore you every single time you talk to me, because you’re twice my size. I’ve told my boss that I’m uncomfortable, and I still have to work around this scary man”
