Just booked our second Halloween on the high seas cruise, we absolutely love pulling the kids out of school and cruising in the fall. Going in the off season with the family is totally worth it. Great video👍🎃

I learned on my first trip to Disney that reservations (food, rides, etc.) open up closer to the date of the trip. Our first trip, I was desperate to get a reservation for Be Our Guest restaurant (before it became a prix fixe menu) and I tried almost every day for months with no luck. On our layover in NC on our flight down, I checked because I was bored and we had a long layover ahead of us. Boom, I got the exact day and time I was originally looking for. Great advice!!! Just keep trying, people’s plans change.

Why would a Verandah cause more nausea than an Oceanview? Room size is same other than the balcony itself?
I think it’s because of the location. Our ocean view was deck 2 midship and had very little movement. The Verandah locations are higher and we also chose a forward stateroom. I also discovered that forward is the worst for movement in regard to nausea.
@@disneeds OK that is good to know, thank you! Travelling solo with my 9 year old daughter. We have a deck 5 "secret porthole" room, Inside 10a Category which actually is an obscured oceanview.

With the rotational dining, do you choose which restaurant which day or is this just assigned?
It is assigned, although you can make a request for what you want. Once on board, you can go talk to the dining guest services team to see what they can do.
Can you bring water on board or do you have to pre-order it?
You can carry water on to the cruise ship. It just has to be unopened and packed in your carry on luggage.

@@disneeds Yeah, It almost has been 10 years since I've been on the Disney Magic, 2016 when I was on the Magic. And the Fantasy has almost been 10 years too, I went on It In 2014, so 1 more year until It's the 10 year mark.
That’s a great anniversary to celebrate too.
You are only in your cabin to wash up, change and sleep. Other than that you are NEVER in your cabin. Consider this when paying a lot more money for a room with a verandah that you are never even in. Yes, travel agents will say, it's really great to have your breakfast out on the verandah and watch the sunrise or have room service and watch the sunset. You are not spending all of your money to go on a Disney Cruise so you can sit in your cabin.
