  • It wasn't announced, but it appears that with the v3 firmware upgrade to Pioneer DJ's CDJ-3000 players, the units now offer onboard analysis of any files added on a USB, meaning DJs get proper waveforms, sync etc without pre-analysis in Rekordbox.

"Holds the beats", proceeds to show us the biggest out of sync sound ever :p I'm sure it works, but that was not a great example to show :)

A basic feature all Denon players have had for years, which is why I don't buy overpriced Pioneer products anymore, I moved to a better brand.

    Prime 4+:
-Stems, Tidal, Lighting, Touch FX, External HD, up to 4 USB Sticks, instant analysis of the songs (like 10s or something when not using a engine dj usb stick), etc... etc...
Now, go on, tell me something the 3000s can do that Prime 4 can't 😴

Might be good in a pinch, however I would not recommend doing this all the time.

Sounds like shoes in a dryer. Why would you choose a D&B track to demo with, sheesh mate!

Because the BPMs were wildly different, and they were to hand, for a technical demo, not a musical one.

My goodness, this just shows how Pioneer’s flagship deck are embarrassing themselves on how behind the product is compared to the competition. Even the slowness of processing of the track analysis makes my face curl 🥴. If you are doing an open format, by choosing what to play then do track analysis you probably will miss the outro break 😅.

Well, you should also arguably have analysed all your tracks beforehand, but you're right, this is far from instant.
