Awwww My winner pick from the moment I saw her carrying that huge wood block on her back in the previews. Beast of a woman, so proud!!
She used to by my favorite of the season but Charlie was definitely right about her being inconsistent. In this very interview, one moment she's saying she thought she could beat anyone and a few seconds later she says she had to take a shot at Charlie because he was her biggest competition.
I recall in Hunter's exit press, when asked to name one word to describe each of his tribemates, his one word for Maria was flip-floppy. Seeing how hard it was for her to make a decision to resort to rock/paper/scissors, Maria seems indecisive and thus she could have voted for any of the final 3 and at that moment after Final Tribal, she chose Kenzie.

I absolutely hate Maria's justification for voting for Kenzie.
It doesn't matter what you'll do with the money or who needs it more. It's who played the best game.
If you believe Kenzie's social game was superior to Charlie's strategic game, fine. But don't make it about things external to the game.
Otherwise, Charlie could only win if he played a Jonny Fairplay.
Such bs answers as to why she didnt vote for Charlie. Like just admit that you and Q were bitter and felt some type of way about Charlie besting you. Just overall bad vibes from her.
@4:00 I'm glad Maria is providing us more context so we can understand her thought process in her decisions with the rock/paper/scissors. @5:53 Charlie did tell Maria about the Q plan. Given how Charlie just spent sanctuary time with Kenzie and Liz, I thought Maria would have been more suspicious of that vote. Based on the edit, I'm still confused about her final vote. Thank you Sarah for this interview!

Maria, your answer for not giving Charlie your vote is complete BS and people can see through that. The truth is, you were bitter as hell that Charlie had a better game and that he outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted you. You and your huge ego needed one last power trip so you could feel smug and powerful. You want to be a good example for your children but you did the opposite. Why the need to be spiteful and vindictive? Instead, you could have respected the game, swallowed your pride, and awarded your vote to the player who played the best game.
I dont know how it was fair for two players to gang up on Maria during an individual challenge is that in the rules ?
