so touching for an excellent video
Thank you very much for the feedback.
Thanks for the tips
Any time
Nice tow bar John, I wonder how I missed commenting and liking this one before.
Thanks Kirk. Just put the link for this kit yesterday and already have an order.🤔
@@JohnCRV you show put a link in for the tow bar too!
Yes, debating on which one to link since this model has changed. I have an email to a few distributors to find out which is closer to this model.
Hi John, nice tutorial on this tow Eq. video, good to know what the steps are to keep in ship shape. Or should I say RV shape. I like how you show how to remove the boot and to clean underneath and replace the lub too. Is that fuel line hose? Great video. Your Vegan friend Gary
Thanks my friend, I used Air line hose, Great comment Gary.
Hello John, Question.......is that the blue ox 7335? If so I have the same tow bar but I can't find the kit to replace the bushings and bolts. I might have to go to home depot and just try and match up the parts, any thought!
+Richie L hello Richie, I have model BX7335 Aventa ll Tow Bar. I will look up my Amazon account to see the kit number all new nuts and bolts and washers were included in the kit.
Question: What type of bike rack is he one with this type of mount? Thanks
+Chuck Chaney It's a Swagman 3 Bike Receiver. The bracket bolts on the extender or a long drop down receiver and the rack pole itself can be put on the bracket with a pin and locks with a key as well. When you take off the pole rack the bracket can stay on the receiver when not in use.
Camping World carries it but I'm sure you can find it online as well.
Good luck
what are the torque specs on each of these bolts/nuts? Loctite, yes no?
Sorry, I do not. As I mentioned on the video A good friend of mine did it for me.
I do like to learn
Thank you!
I appreciate the rebuild lesson. Not to be a over zealous critic here but this video has a lot of potential to teach what is really a useful lesson. May I suggest to not use music during your discussion as it's really distracting when I'm attempting to listen to the more important instruction and advice you're giving. Also, the free-form use of the camera is way too much movement. If possible, please hold the shot still and supplement with zoom when needed. I hope you take this critique as supportive. You've got a critical piece of knowledge transfer going here. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
thank for the constructive criticism Jeff I’m getting better everyday and these kind of comments help more than me trying to figure it out on my own. Stay safe out there.
That would be great, thats the old style one right? It looks just like mine. Thanks
+Richie L - I just looked it up and was not on my Amazon account I must have ordered it from some other site. I also remembered that it did not come with new bolts. It does come with the locknuts and washer Kit. The bolts were not worn at all. This website has the kit www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Blue-Ox/BX84-0089.html if you need new bolts I would go with an High grade for sure. I hope this helps.Good luck
+Richie L yes, it is the old style.
+John C RV - Hey Rich, I don't know why I dint see it before but, scroll down from the web site I sent you and you will also see the bolts for sale under (Related Items).Take care.
Great video Thank You!! One of my arms is not sliding back in, so I’m thinking that I need to clean an lubricate the arm under the boot!! I hope that’s the problem!! If not back to youtube an Google !! LOL ....Blessed Travels
it’s possible one of the gears connected to one of your levers is broken therefore not releasing the piston. I know they have a kit to rebuild those as well.
John C RV Thank You so much I will start researching how to fix it 😁

Blue Ox 84-0178 Latch Handle Kit, amzn.to/3udb3I4
here’s their website with some contact info. you may want to ask them about a manual. I had one but cannot find it.. Good luck.
A very informative video, thank you. It would have been a lot easier to hear you without the music. Was that really necessary?
Definetly not necessary that high but back then I did not use an editor program like I do now. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day.
You didn't show the bike rack silly.
I keep forgetting to make a video on the bike rack.
One of these days.
@@JohnCRV working on my Blue Ox as we speak pretty much the same makeover new boots though
I suggest a cover for the tow bar when not using it, to keep it away from the sun.
Good luck with the rebuilt.
