Bruce Banner’s alter ego is one of the strongest characters in all of Marvel. His true power is close to limitless as he’ll always become stronger the angrier he gets. And trust me, there’s a lot to be angry about in the Marvel universe so his rage knows no bounds! But just because the big green rage monster is nearly unbeatable, it doesn’t mean he hasn’t been beaten. In fact, there are a good amount of Marvel Characters that our favorite green Avenger has never been able to defeat! Just who are these characters and why did Hulk lose or continue to lose to them? Well that’s what I want to discuss today!
Like yes we know that the Other Guy got absolutely wrecked by The Mad Titan at the beginning of Infinity War and that made him so scared that he didn’t want to come out to fight at the end of the movie, but the comic version of the big guy hasn’t had much better luck when facing the purple villain in the comics. Usually it’s because The Mad Titan is rocking some powerful artifact of some kind that puts Bruce Banner and his alter ego in their place. But what about other characters? Well besides one super lucky encounter, Silver Surfer has always been someone that can deliver a serious beatdown and hopefully we get to see these two interact at some point in the MCU’s future. Even though the green rage monster has won a few times over Wolverine, it can be said that he’s never beaten Old Man Logan before which is interesting. Oh and of course this list will include Sentry, who’s a hero that fans have been clamoring to see in the MCU for a while now.

Something I wished happened is if marvel introduced more gods from other myths and religions as heroes just like Thor and Hercules. It could give new and amazing story writing potential. It feels unfair that Thor and Hercules are the only main character gods from two different religions. What about Sun Wokong? He’s a pretty famous godly being himself! I know he technically died a while back in the comics but COMMON!!!

The MCU has treat the Hulk so bad that it really pissed off fans. Heck it has been 13 years since his last solo movie. Universal studios needs to bring him as a angry man who does smashing!
Yes, the producers did not treat Hulk well in Infinity and Endgame. They should have had a rematch with a stronger Hulk to settle the score. But they decided to give the glory to Iron Man as his final outing.

@@b2wshadow012 I can only say that what Hulk lacked against Thanos was fighting style. He is essentially a brawler; however, Thanos took him on like a boxer, and beat him systematically. Thor, unfortunately, was already weakened from the last fight and with out a proper weapon. He would've lost anyway.

Silver Surfer was beaten in the arena on Sakaar. Hulk was also carrying an obedience disk.

Hulk has shown to be the most important player when it comes to strength.
Whether it's destroying Onslaughts armour, holding together the planets tectonic plates, Holding up a Mountain Range. Breaking down barriers. Hulk Vs a giant Celestial foot, Hulk Vs the Phoenix five. And in the movies wearing the infinity gauntlet. He's the guy who gets them out of the shit they need him.

The gauntlet would have killed him. That's why Tony Stark ended up using it instead.
It's because they don't have the rights to the hulk and in the marvel movies he's played kinda as a side character. That way the other characters that they have available get more attention in the spotlight and to set them up for the movies that they made/making for other characters.
@@chuckdavinci9044 In endgame yes, THEIR version of the hulk would've died because he wouldn't be portrayed accurately. In the comics the hulk literally wields two of the gauntlets and in the animated movie (that came out before endgame) he wields it against thanos. The first two hulk movies also don't capture the hulk accurately bc it's different directors takes on the hulk that's why they look so different/different size.

Every time they fought, Thanos had a powerful weapon equipped. Besides, Zombie Hulk absolutely thrashed him. This was after he and a few others ate Silver Surfer and Galactus, both of whom Thanos required a powerful weapon to beat. That's not including WB Hulk and Immortal Hulk either, both likely capable of defeating the Mad Titan.

The fight between Wolverine and Hulk would be exciting to see on the big screen! Just imagine how bloody and nasty it will be if the adamantium claws can do more than just slashes.
Wolverine has nothing on the Hulk. His strength is like a kids compared to the Hulks.
@@keithtauber4153 nah they have stalemated a few times in the comics. Hell wolverine debuted in a hulk issue, their rivalry goes way back. Plus fighting people way more powerful than him is pretty much Logans job description.

Logan in the comics is slightly superhuman in strength-- maybe a little stronger than Captain America, but quite a bit weaker than Spiderman's full strength (Spidey is usually holding back a lot of his strength for fear of killing someone).
Comic Green Hulk (and not even the Green Scar/World Breaker Hulk, from World War Hulk) is much, much, _much_ stronger than Logan and Spidey _combined_ just at base power level. And then as Hulk gets angrier (like he might get if, I don't know, someone is slashing and stabbing him with adamantium claws) he gets a _lot_ stronger. Like easily smashing apart a planet strong, at his angriest-- the Green Scar/World Breaker Hulk.
Wolverine has never been even _close_ to Hulk's strength in their comic fights. Logan always holds his own with quickness, his Healing Factor, and the durability granted to him by his adamatium-laced skeleton.
So yeah, Hulk is just in a whole other league than Wolverine in terms of strength. In fact, some writers have even given Hulk a better, faster Healing Factor than Wolverine.
You can just google the official Marvel character stats of both if you don't believe me. Cheers 🙂

How about a hero who didn’t need to resort to hurting the Hulk to defeat him? Dazzler didn’t need to blast him or even lay a hand on him. She just needed her “useless” light show to calm him down. Stop his rage and you stop the Hulk. Win (in fact, I think Banner still owes her $300 she loaned him afterwards.)

You lost me at the sentry fight. Sentry was unconscious and taken away in an ambulance Hulk went down to Banner but was still standing and back to full strength literally the next page.
I would give you multiple thumbs up if it were possible...he fought Sentry AFTER beating the F4, the entire X-family, Dr Strange, Hulk buster Ironman, the Avengers, Ghostrider, Hercule and a skrull Black Bolt....I get so annoyed when Hulks victories are explained away or some stupid excuse
Sentry’s face was unrecognizable. Bruce has a scratch. Sentry collapses at the end of the fight. Bruce is still standing and ready to go some more. Plus, as pointed out already, the Hulk is fighting a FRESH sentry after he(Hulk) has been fighting numerous other super-powered beings for days on end. Also, Hulk is holding back while Sentry ADMITTEDLY is NOT. It’s insane that there are people who say this fight was either a draw or that Sentry beat Hulk.

Heck Bruce Banner later confirms later on that throughout the world war fights he was holding back the entire time.. Greg Pak who has written both Superman and the Hulk also confirmed that Superman aswell wouldn't have been able to stop the Hulk. You have no idea what Hulk is capable of.

I hope we never see Sentry in MCU, as well as other cosmic power characters. They can't even handle Cpt. Marvel properly, and she is well below Sentry or Blue Marvel on power levels.

Hulk beat sentry while holding back having him knocked out after expending all his energy, hulk beat Wolverine in world war hulk, hulk has beat Hyperion, hulk beat silver surfer in planet hulk ( yes he was drained but so was hulk), hulk beat ghost rider in immortal hulk along with the other avengers and purposely let himself get captured to see how much he could heal in the next chapter, hulk ate Thanos in zombies(if this counts). The Hulk and Sentry fought on an absolutely equal level to the point of going all out and both of their powers being drained until they basically powered down. Sentry really only tied because Hulk was SOOOO angry and powered up... Otherwise I believe he could've ended him fairly quickly.
He’s been nerfed in the MCU. The INCREDIBLE HULK (Edward Norton version) was the strongest hulk period. And yes I know Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo are suppose to be the same character canon wise BUT Norton’s banner was different on screen. Making his Hulk different. And if you ask me, Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo are two different versions of the Hulk in comic prospective. I mean, if Edward Norton had played all the MCU movies instead of Mark Ruffalo, we would have ended up with a different fight scene in Endgame. In my opinion :
Mark Ruffalo = Professor Hulk
Edward Norton = Immortal Hulk/World Breaker
But the writers and directors have to look at the stronger versions via comics in order for the fans to see the right Hulk on the big screen.
And I believe World Breaker Hulk would’ve Ended Endgame.
While the World Breaker Hulk and Thanos are both powerhouses, this Hulk will always overpower Thanos, assuming he doesn't have the Infinity Gauntlet. ... If the fight fails to end fast, Hulk will just get angrier and angrier, which will lead to him becoming even more powerful.
I mean the guy takes steps and the Earth shakes. No way should he have lost to Thanos but MCU Ironman was able to punch Thanos and make him bleed.
They have to fix these power levels🤷♂️

This is undoubtedly a biased video.
Whenever a character that hulk has been beaten is mentioned by the creator of this video (e.g. hulk vs silver surfer); he makes an excuse for why the hulk won. He says here hulk won because silver surfer was mind-controlled. I beg to differ, shouldn’t a person that is mind-controlled have no safeguards? Shouldn’t that person be more ruthless because they have nothing holding them back? For me, a win is a win despite how it happened.
Some other examples are evident in the fight between hulk and ghost rider (which was not technically a fight but hulk still won based on having a “justification” for his war and the ghost rider agreed hence the reason why he left the hulk to continue his war). For me, that’s enough. You don’t have to punch your way through everything for it to be considered a victory.
If we were to follow the line of logic of always “punching” to secure a victory, then the Batman could not claim any victory over the hulk. Can he out punch hulk? No!
Additionally, if we were to follow the creator’s line of logic, then we could also make an excuse for Thanos’ win. He’s only ever won because he always has some kind of artifact he uses to fight when he encounters the hulk. Oh, and the only reason Zeus won was because he is a god. For me, if I decided to go this way, it’s just making excuses. Those characters won. If they cheated, drugged or backstabbed the hulk, that’s just their strategy. A win is a win.
Please stop making excuses for The Hulk’s victories and making excuses for why the people that lost to him lost. It’s almost like you’re forcing a narrative. Give him his credit.
The Hulk won the fights he won and the characters that lost to him lost those fights. Period.
I don’t want to end this without saying that the creator of this video has a great channel and I immensely enjoy the videos. I just had to come and point out certain parts of this video that I see as an unfair assessment.

If Hulk ever fought Zeus in my marvel series, we would see Zeus hurl a lightning bolt so powerful that it LAUNCHES hulk away and makes him crash back into earth that it makes a giant crater and Hulk would look like he just had gotten second to third dagger burns all around his body.
The only thing I can think of is that Thanos had the power stone on when he fought Hulk at beginning of Infinity War movie, plus he uses a few strategic fighting moves. Without the ring, Hulk would have pulverized Thanos, also not to forget, if the Hulk was angrier that fight would have lasted longer, Hulk was not at his peak in strength. But we need the movie to be 2 hours long so we can't have the Hulk beat him early or Thanos would not be much of a threat. At the start of Endgame movie when Thor and Avengers meet Thanos again off world, Thor takes out Thanos in seconds with his axe, and Thanos is without his rings at that time, and doesn't put a fight.

@David Tach I'd like to disagree with that. In real life, you can take a 225 lb body builder and put them up against a 150lb Muay Thai fighter and the Muay Thai fighter will break down that body builder with skills. It's been done
@David Tach I'm guessing you haven't really seen a lot of real fights huh? Check out a classic fight between Royce Gracie vs ken Shamrock, or check out Tito Ortiz vs Frank Shamrock. Ken outweighed Royce but got beat, Tito also outweighed Frank and also got beat. Check out seanchai, he fought guys that were also higher weight class than him and stronger.
@David Tach if he's been doing muay thai for twelve years, he would have to be at least eighteen lol. I know guys at fifteen who could knock out a grown man. It can and does happen a lot.

I remember in the Avengers vs X-Men event, the Avengers literally searched for Hulk because they know they can't handle Phoenix Force Cyclops and Emma Frost. Hulk basically fought Phoenix Force Emma Frost by himself while the rest tried to subdue Cyclops. Sure, Cyclops sucker-blasted Emma, but Hulk was standing his ground against her.
Phoenix Powered Colossus and Namor even took down Gladiator, and that was when the Phoenix Force was shared by Five people. Imagine how amped up Emma was when Hulk fought her since the Avengers already took down the other 3.

Ghost Rider didn't judge Hulk innocent. He realized there were no innocents to protect or defend. That's why he left. Would have been a good fight though.

Hulk hadn't beat Thanos because they barely ever fight because Thanos avoids him. Yes Thanos has beaten him in the small amount of encounters they had but Thanos is the one that avoid him. Thanos himself says this because he says that hulk isn't a being that he can't afford to prolong a fight with because he gets stronger as the fight progresses so he avoids hulk because he has a chance of losing to him. Thanos says this himself. For sentry it is true hulk hasn't beaten him but he came out with a draw once while not going world breaker so that could be considered a win. As for Zeus hulk has only ever encountered him once but hulk was weakened in that fight and was holding back which is why he got curbstomped. In the arc right after that one hulk went into the dark dimension and let loose and nearly destroyed the dark dimension. As for silver surfer hulk did beat surfer fairly in that fight on sakaar because hulk was being weakened by the obedience disc as well so it was a fair fight plus the other helping hulk didn't really do shit. It was hulk that inevitably pummeled surfer in the end and if you don't wanna use that as a win for hulk how about the time immortal hulk bitch slapped silver surfer and his board and used it to pummel that demon dude in that comic issue that Memphisto showed up in?
As for batman he isn't canon to marvel and that cross over comic where he beat hulk with a smoke grenade was dumb.

The Silver Surfer’s power cosmic and near-invincibility was not enough to stop a Zombie Hulk from biting off his head in Marvel Zombies.
Here's my list of ten Marvel characters that the Hulk has never beaten in a fight: Yalena Belova, Mary Jane Watson, Pepper Potts, Darcy Lewis, Peggy Carter, Lady Sif, Trevor Slattery, Ned Leeds, Yondo, and of course, Howard the Duck.
The title should be changed, hulk beat most of these characters and you're making it very situational with hulk vs silver surfer where hulk has an advantage so that doesn't count yet you allow for the hulk allowing himself to get beat up by zues to save his family...

Zeus tying the Hulk to a rock and letting vultures eat him is actually taken from real Greek mythology.
In the mythology, Prometheus (a Titan, the predecessors to the Greek Pantheon, and the God of Fire) felt sorry for us puny humans, and decided to give us the secret of fire-- which Zeus had forbidden.
So Zeus punished Prometheus by tying him to a rock and having him be mercilessly-- and endlessly --ravaged by an eagle (rather than by vultures, but it's for all intents and purposes the same thing) 🙂

I wish that the MCU would use the real hulk like in the comics
Augmenting Thanos without acknowledging the augmentation is disingenuous. For example, Tony Stark + Armor = Iron Man. Iron Man beats Iron Monger, that doens't mean Tony Stark could beat Iron Monger. The Infinity Gauntlet is not a part of Thanos and battles that involve the gauntlet should be acknowledged or removed from consideration.

I think it's funny that MCU Hulk can survive being thrown across the galaxy. But gets winded from a Thanos powerbomb. He can survive being thrown by a giant, 300 feet high, and into a bridge. Thanos sand bagging him into a soft floor? KO. Jumps 40 ft in the air and jump stomps Thor. Is fine. Being lifted 5 ft in the air then thrown to the floor... Ring the bell! this fights over!

Sentry and Surfer are gray areas... Hulk wasnt all out pissed like he was against everyone else when fighting Surfer in WWH. With Sentry, both were exhausted BUT the Hulk STILL had fuel in the tank and could have fought again...Sentry was completely spent.
Hulk is my favorite superhero tied with Spider-Man. Idc, he has to be depowered to lose. He can beat Hyperion, Havoc, Carnage and Silver Surfer. I think him and Zeus would be a closer fight

Any being both powerfull enough to take his intital blows, and smart enough to realize he's getting stronger in the moment, whill understand that a death or a knock out blow is needed mid fight and likely administer it before hulk is strong enough to be unfazed by it. In fact.. in the cross comic series.. this is exactly what happened when superman fought the hulk. Superman realized hulk was getting stronger and faster the longer they fought.. got himself a bit of sun and and went straight for the KO

When Hulk was smart and leader of the Pantheon in comics, he was actually a great fighter. MCU don't represent Hulk accurately in fight with Thanos, they just wanted Thanos to remain a big threat. Can't have someone beating him too early.

no way ghostrider won that fight. It was cool, he even dropped a building on Hulk. but it was pretty much Johnny going around in circles on his motorcycle trying to find some advantage. Once Johnny was knocked out (cuz he lost) ghostrider spirit took over and left because it judged Hulk as innocent
I think even if they continue to fight no one would've walk out the victor, it would probably just be a drawn out fought until the entire planet is destroyed, though it should be said that if Ghost rider was to unleash the Spirit of vengeance, and the hulk anger wasn't justified, the fight would've probably ends in seconds

Too many times have I seen the Hulk perform tasks that make other seem to be trash. Best example : Batman is capable of kicking Hulk on the solar plexus hard enough to make him breath yet hulk has stood and traded blows with characters like Juggernaut and the Thing and walked back for more. So Batman can kick hard enough as a being with absolutely no power to actually cause the Hulk to even flinch yet these others needed to actually put force behind their already impressive strength to accomplish the same?????? Gotta call it as nothing more than lazy writing.
The Hulk has no way to kill Ghost Rider, if the host, AKA Johnny Blaze was knocked out Zanatos would comes out and unleash his full power, not even Galactus or Dormammu could stop him at that point so in WWH, after Johnny was knocked out and the spirit took over, the Hulk doesn't want to fight Ghost rider anymore because he knows he would lose or atleast be in a stalemate for eternity

Why are we neglecting the fact that MCU Thanos had the Power stone while fighting the Hulk? I'd say that gave Thanos an unfair advantage since the Hulk gets stronger the madder he gets (which implies he needs time to power up) whereas the Power Stone already is limitless power that Thanos can summon in an instant.

I have read the hulk in a while but when I was the madder he got the stronger he got. The more he got smacked around the stronger he got. The only way he was taken down was by calming him down. That being said, he couldn't beat a God, superman or a few other people. Not that he wouldn't try.

Most of this just makes me remember why I started to drift away from comics and turn into a casual observer, without tryig to keep up anymore. It's still fun for me to look at the art, no matter how old I get, but the truth is many who create comics (especially in my prime) simply did not understand continuity or what-beats-what from the last thing they wrote... or illustrated.
I know sometimes there are beings Hulk will lose to, but he should be winning most of these. It just doesn't make sense.
They should have made him an even more rare visitor (don't make people sick of him therefore tempt coming up with ways to "beat" him just to show him lose.... hence the illogical ways), then have at least one that can step forward without fancy, technical, magical, flashy ways and still win almost ALL of them on sheer power. I know that's what he's supposed to be but they should have done a better job.
It's good to have that one last, completely through physics, bad mo fo that can just punch through EVERYBODY because they're sick of all the bullshit. That does seem to be the way of the universe after all -- no amount of jargon stops a meteor from wiping everything out yet. That sort of thing. Bring humans back to reality of sorts. Yeah, I know.. a person pelted with gamma rays should just be dead LOL... but after you set who's who and why, releasing them into the comic world to play together, Hulk seems to me to have so much strength with all other things he does, that often they have to fabricate how he loses or the power level just don't match from what they had us already understand with Hulk.... AND HUlk's power should e coming from how the world was made. Like a "no getting around it, no matter how much you want to believe in gods and sparkly cosmic shit.... Hulk should have the original, bare essential building blocks of how any of them are even lucky to exist ini his own body. From the beginning of time-- those bits are mostly in him, the most pure way. THAT guy should be able to keep ramping up with anger until they are defeated. Just write it interestingly and it will make sense.
