10 Reasons Why MCU's Hercules Is Stronger Than Hulk (& 5 Reasons Why He Isn't)

While Hulk is indeed a strong Avenger, without a doubt, there is another who could very well hold the title of Strongest Avenger, at least on the page.
Then again, there are probably a bunch of them on the page, but I’m not talking about all of them right now.
Hercules isn’t just a being from Greek Mythology, he is also a character within Marvel Comics as well. And this version of the demi-god is a freaking beast power-wise, and has actually gone up against the green beast of burden quite a few times in the comics.
But is he really the strongest Marvel hero? How can he possibly top the Hulk? Well, in this video I’m gonna cover a few different ways that Hercules has the edge. Then, just for funsies, at the end I’ll go over a few advantages that Hulk has, just to keep things objective here.
So with all that said, let’s go ahead and dive right into it.

Hercules is strong as hell, and he might be stronger than Hulk in the beginning, but the longer the fight goes the stronger, and more durable the Hulk becomes. Which means if Herc doesn't beat him early, it's not going to end well for the Greek demi God.

Hulk did not kill onslaught, he just destroyed his armor. It took the heroes combined entering his psionic form to kill him.
Actually hulk has won every fight except for the New maestro that is banner who doesn’t have the rage. Hulk beat him in wwh, beat Hercules when Hercules was trying to get hulk to look for avengers, and beat him and treated him like nothing in immortal hulk. Please name the times. Hulk didn’t lose in ragnarok either. Hulk was still standing punched Thor across the ring and beat on him until he saw his father. Then even after the power up hulk was still standing and jumped higher than the ring the next second the fight wasn’t over

@@derekvouk5858 Umm that's not quite true. Hulk has fought so hard that he actually has reverted back into Banner. Also if you truly study the Hulk EVERY TIME after a fight he would get tired and that's because physically the human body cannot substain the adrelinne rush. This is why Hulk became so tired after his fights and reverted back into Banner and actually pass out.

Yeah, that's why I was confused on why he said the first two. He did some research but not enough.
Hulk is only immortal in the sense that when he's killed, he can come back to life via the Green Door. This is only a recent development and it's more likely that after refusing to become TOBA's avatar, he hasn't got this power anymore as the realm of TOBA has been sealed again. Even when he COULD return from death, it usually takes a while and that would count as a win for whoever just killed him. In fact, Hulk is killed multiple times during his "Immortal Hulk" run so he's not immortal in the same sense as Hercules. Hulk can and does age. It's been shown repeatedly with every future version of the character we've ever seen.

What this video misses, and every Hulk vs video misses, is that Hulk is simply an unbeatable chatacter. He's powered by God aka TOAA. He's also immortal.
Here is how all Hulk fights with other top strength characters like Hercules go:
Hercules starts out a lot stronger than Hulk's default strength. Hercules dominates the fight for a while.
Hulk gets madder, then matches Hercules strength.
Then Hulk gets even angrier, then finally exceeds Hercules strength. Then Hulk wins
That is how all Hulk fights are supposed to go. He can't lose.
Hulk's strength is tied to his anger. The two things that make him angrier than anything are 1). Struggling in a fight. 2). Struggling to lift a heavy object.
Seriously. His pregnant wife dying and his entire planet getting destroyed in WWH didn't get him as angry as he does if he's losing a fight or trying to lift something. What matters most to Hulk, more than anything or anyone else, is proving he's the strongest.

She's stronger than a divided Hercules. Back in the day, the Greek Gods were tricked into splitting themselves into 2 parts so that some of them could stay as their typical selves and the others could go and be gods to the burgeoning Roman Empire. However, this resulted in these "other halves" slowly changing and taking on their own traits and subtle differences by becomi g the "Roman Gods" (e.g. Zeus became Jupiter and so on). It turns out this was actually a ploy by Darkseid who wanted to take over the Olympian pantheon but wasn't powerful enough and so he decided to so discord among and shake the faith of the people's of Rome, causing the Greek Gods to perform their split.

At this point, Hercules had been raised to Godhood and so he took part in the split. It's why he's been portrayed as both Hercules (Roman) and Herakles (Greek) in the past. Wonder Woman has proven to be stronger than Herakles in the past (in the classic days) and has matched Hercules as well with their battle being interrupted. There have also been times where the reverse has been shown and Herc has overpowered Wonder Woman. However, at some point, the Gods of Olympus were reincarnated and ended up reforming their separate versions (Greek and Roman) and returned to full strength. To my knowledge, Hercules/Herakles has never fought Wonder Woman at full strength but considering even physically weaker gods (like Apollo) have been able to casually slap around Superman (until he accidentally supercharged Clark by hitting him with a concentrated beam of solar energy), Herculese/Herakles should definitely be stronger than Wonder Woman.
I'm pretty sure Herculese absolutely stomped Wonder Man in the Incredible Hercules run where he was teamed up with Amadeus Cho.

There are 2 Marvel Characters who have been described as having limitless strength, Hercules and Hulk. In most of the battles between the two Hercules holds back while the Hulk never does so that counts for a lot. I'm surprised you didn't mention the greatest feet of strength ever, Hercules holding up the Heaven's. Also Hercules has been stated as being a better archer than Hawkeye.

Professor Hulk might be a more cunning challenge, but that version has limitations. Banner's higher-level thinking puts a much lower cap on his anger. Savage Hulk goes into rages and doesn't really think much beyond "Hulk Smash!" until the things he's smashing stop moving, but even though Prof. Hulk can get mad and stronger as a result, it's more difficult for him to let go of rational thought that lets Hulk-rage work so effectively; He'll peak faster, at a much lower point, and return to his standard starter strength pretty quickly. However, despite being able to take a more thoughtful approach to battle, he is still no Hercules --he hasn't trained and gains thousands of years of experience; in fact, I don't think he's trained at all. The only thing Prof. Hulk has as an advantage is that he'll more easily recognize tactics and be less likely to fall for the kind of trickery one could use to trip up an angry fighter with. This is no advantage in a fight against Hercules.

WWHulk was made up of focused rage, and he had Gladiator training. This version would, and did give Hercules problems. Maestro Hullk is not only genius intelligent, he surpasses even savage Hulk in every way. WB Hulk is a power gem without the gem. Any one of those versions I said including Savage Hullk considering the day, could put Hercules down for the count.

The hulk getting tired and passing out is based on one weaker version of the hulk. The most powerful hulk versions can fight as long as there is gamma radiation available for him to absorb and it will sustain him. He heals and regenerates almost like wolverine. That's what eliminates fatigue. This ability combined with the fact that gamma radiation is abundant everywhere in the universe means the hulk can fight forever and its impossible to get stronger if you're also getting tired. That logic don't add up even using comic book science. The Hulk and Hercules would simply fight until the hulk gets strong enough to rip his arms off. Remember, there is a reason why you want the fight with the hulk to end quickly. Its because a long fight gives the hulk and advantage as his strength will eventually exceed his opponents. Lastly, Hercules is not a true god. He is a demigod meaning he has a human half just like the hulk.

@Charles Tinsman I'll grant that Worldbreaker Hulk, perhaps the strongest version of Hulk, COULD kill Hercules if he was currently stripped of his immortality (which would be him at his weakest). Otherwise, no, he couldn't. He could probably make Hercules' immortality very miserable, but he couldn't kill him. But even if he SOMEHOW could... Zeus would resurrect him, then he would effortlessly slap the hell out of the Hulk... again. Because, despite his claims, Hulk is NOT the strongest one there is.

1. Every fan of every other Super Being, always uses the Hulk to compare to their favorite. I expect to see someone make the case for Aunt Mae very soon.
2. The Hulk has shown in atleast one example or more, the total beat down of the characters other fans claim that can beat The Hulk.
3. The Hulk has beaten many of these characters, even when they are accompanied by other characters, aka whole teams.
4. The Hulk has exhibited both strength, endurance and might that these other characters simply cannot do.
5. The Hulk produces fear and dread in both heroes and Villians.
6. The Hulk beat Onslaught when a whole Super Team could not.

The Hulk strength is immeasurable. Literally the physically strongest character in marvel. So no, Hercules is not stronger.
In the comics Hercules is also said the have a strength level of "unlimited" so I think they might actually be even.
Hercules literally shifted the entire island of Manhattan with his bare hands. To put it into perspective, the hulk can only lift a maximum of a 100tons. The island of manhattan weighs 125 million tons. Not only is Hercules stronger, he is WAY stronger than the hulk.
The hulk pulled together tectonic plates buddy. Held up a mountain and these are just a couple feats out shinning Hercules

Thank you! Hercules is my favorite Marvel character. I think this is the first video to ever bring up the one thing that makes Hercules the greatest of Marvel heroes...his endless STAMINA. He is the only hero/villain officially stated by Marvel in their database who never runs out of stamina. We can debate his strength, skills, even super-abilities...but we can't debate his stamina dominance in a fight. Add in his strength, skills, super-abilities....he is the ultimate brawler.
Strength, skills, super-abilities, AND cunning. Let's not forget that Herc is a brilliant strategist when he needs to be, and he fought and overcame many a monster before he even was raised above demigod status because he used his mind.

And while there's debate as to who is stronger in certain circumstances, Marvel has confirmed that Herc is the better fighter. in fairness, i can't say that Herc really ever beats the Hulk also...they like to make these two stale mate or act as opposites. Were the Hulk is all strength and wild destruction, Herc is usually seen as all strength and technique. That's why I give it to Herc, at the end of the day skill is always going to triumph over brute strength.

Hulk is stronger. I think Hercules is physically about as strong as Thor. Also there are different versions of the Hulk and not all of them start at the same strength level. Last, you never mentioned World War Hulk or World Breaker Hulk.

After Marvel said Hulk is the Avatar of the destruction & strength of THE ONE ABOVE ALL. That settled the argument for me.
I loved this episode the only thing I don't agree with is that professor Hulk would even win against Hercules it wouldn't happen at all because in the grand scheme of things that just means that banner is in control of Hulk and banner can't fight for anything so I don't see that fight lasting at all. Now the flip side where my stroke fought the Hulk that made a lot of sense because that meant that Hulk was in control of banner's mind and he had to outsmart Hercules in order to defeat him. But other than that great episode Hercules is the man I remember where Hercules fought Hulk and Thor and beat them that would be a really cool fight in the MCU

How would the Greek gods work in the MCU though? The eternals are all basically named purposefully to have similar names to the gods. Hephaestus was the Greek god of fire and was a blacksmith while Phastos the eternal is a genius who creates machines and weapons for humans. Mercury, also known as Hermes, is the Roman and Greek messenger god who runs at great speeds while Makkari the eternal has the ability to run incredibly fast. Thena and Athena have just about the same name and so does Ajak and Ajax. And Gilgamesh the eternal and the god both have the exact same name. In the comics, the eternals inspired the various mythologies yet somehow they actually exist too. It creates a paradox. So if the Greek gods do come to the MCU, would the eternals have come first or bias versa?

Hercules has also not shown to regenerate from an atom. The only hero we have seen do that is sentry. Plus hulk is literally immortal as stated in the immortal hulk issue since the source of gamma energy comes from the one above all himself. Heck Even the official marvel CZcams channel literally placed hulk in first place as the physically strongest marvel hero. Look up the video on CZcams. The top 10 included characters like Hercules, blue marvel, sentry, Thor etc and it was based on physical strength alone and hulk was put in first place in terms of raw physical strength yet cbr is still out here saying other characters are physically stronger than him 😂. Man get tf outta here. Thor admitted that he can't match hulk without his hammer and Hercules himself has lost to hulk in terms of pure physical strength against hulk in 9 out of the 10 times they fought each other.you also said hercules powers can't be taken away yet he is literally weakened currently in the comics because some of his strength was drained away from him. Hulk is also immortal. The immortal hulk issue literally showed him live till the end of time where only him, galactus, Franklin Richard's and immortal man survived but those other 3 beings that survived alongside hulk were killed by hulk.
Whooped? The only time Hulk whupped him was when Herc was at half his strength. Unless you're counting World War Hulk when Herc refused to fight him trying to prove he was on his side...and even then when Hulk threatened Cho Herc punched Worldbreaker Hulk and he actually went down.
@@-pld- Lol Hulk has whooped Hercules multiple times,i can break down all their fights if you want.. They've been fighting since the 70's and Hulk has won the majority of them.. I'll list all of them and break them down for you.. Also in the WWH arc Hulk Held back the ENTIRE time he fought everyone lol,Hulk even held back when he fought Sentry.. Heck even in that same comic Hercules himself said that Hulk could have taken him(Herucles) down but Hulk isn't a killer and monster.. Hell Greg Pak in an article confirmed that Hercules would have lost but Hulk already stated that he wasn't there to kill.

I think @Jasonwalker4400 sums it up best: both Hercules and Hulk have unlimited strength. Therefore, neither is stronger than the other. The difference is that Hercules' strength is whatever he wants it to be, while Hulk actually starts off much weaker than some other heroes, and amps up as he gets stronger. Off the top of my head, some superpowered beings that are purely physically stronger than the Hulk before he amps up: Juggernaut, Thor, Gladiator, Wonder Man, Abomination, Hercules, Binary

There have been many versions of the Hulk that were level headed and not consumed by the rage. WWH was the angriest he has ever been, and he was cold and calculating... a tactician that ended up ensnaring Reed Richards the smartest man on the planet. Yes, i am sure Hercules would out strategize Reed, Dr Strange, etc.... pffffft. And when Hercules fought WWH, he ended up saying "Hulk... no more"
Agility? Hulk can run at several hundred km's/miles per hour. He can jump 30 miles from a standstill. Hulk is big but he is stupidly fast, and his power to weight ratio is 2nd to none. This is is dribble.
Cosmic Hulk...you failed to mention...can destroy planets by bumping into it...there are many levels to Hulk and you didn't touch the surface. The monstrosity has the power to give life..

Hercules is undoubtedly physically stronger and more skilled fighter than Thor but.....Thor has so many powers compared to Hercules and also he has some powerful weapons than that of Herc's.
Round 1 (hand to hand, no powers included) : Hercules wins.
Round 2 (can use powers) : Thor might have many chances to win.

Well one things for sure, if this battle ever happened in a full on movie, it would definitely be worth the money you paid to see it. (If Marvel actually took all this information into consideration. )
Hercules and Thor have a very long history in Marvel comics as being about equal in strength. Herc's first meeting with the Hulk showed them as being about equal as well. Over the years in the comics Hulk has been bumped up to be the strongest of the three. I suspect the MCU would keep the Hulk as the slightly strongest. The King Thor thing might well skew the results. Not sure how MCU is gonna work that out yet.

But he doesn't have limitless strength; not literally or figuratively. It's wrongly comparing the Hulk's strength potential to the energy he draws on for the strength. Just because the source is infinite does not mean he is capable of channeling it all. Thumbs down.

However, what Beyonder stated was that he is "a raging power personified... an infinity of power with no finite element inside." He NEVER stated infinite strength because Hulk's power is more than just physical strength.

If fire is all that it takes to kill Hercules(without the intervention of a God); then there is no way in the world that he could beat The Hulk...as fire could do nothing to the Hulk. Don't know if it has ever been mentioned in Marvel Comics, but the blood of a golden hind can kill any god in Greek mythology including Hercules. Not sure where the Hulk would get some though. Also, there is no way of really knowing who has the edge in stamina as the Hulks rage would theoretically fuel him indefiinitely..
Fire was what it took to kill Hercules when he was only a demigod. After he died, Zeus raised him up and made him a full god. In recent times, Hercules was shot (by Ares) full of hollow bullets filled with Hydra blood and it sent him on a pain-fueled rampage. Black Widow lured rampaging Herc near some large containers (like the size of grain silos) of jet fuel and blew them up so that intense heat would burn out the poison. After, Herc was a bit char-broiled, but on his feet and joking about it. Flames no longer threaten him.
You forgot to mention that Hercules doesnt wear pants, while the Hulk always wears pants. And what about that time that Hulk held up a mountain weighing 150 billion tons in Secret Wars #4? And finally the Hulk has an adjective, he's the "incredible" Hulk. While Hercules on the other hand has no complimentary adjective to describe his greatness. I rest my case your honor in favor of the Incredible Hulk!
