Delicious Mauritian dessert - Fenousse

  • Ingredients:- 🇬🇧🇲🇺
    Delicious in Mauritius:- Fenousse
    1 lt of full cream milk (gold top) or 3 cups of milk powder + 3 cups water
    2/3 cardamon or 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
    2 stick of cinnamon
    Three quarter cup of sugar or according to taste
    6 tbsp white vinegar. 🇬🇧🇲🇺
    Always cook on low heat
    If using milk powder add 3 cups of water then bring to the boil, once the milk is boiled, add vinegar & drained, make sure sugar is well dissolved before removing from the heat.

    I thought you would wash it first to take away the vinegar which is what is required. Or else the vinegar taste comes through even with sugar added.

      Use white vinegar but make sure you rinse it well after it is separated or else when you add sugar & cook it, the taste of vinegar will come through & spoil it.
