The world could learn so much from Ireland. Listening, respect, honor, support, courage. I could go on. This was great but commonplace in this great country.
Bars in Canada are full of loud music, there are huge TVs hanging off every wall and conversation is virtually impossible. How wonderful it would be to sit in a pub where you could hear yourself think, chat with friends - and then hear people sing like this. The Irish have something we have lost.
I was born in America to irish immigrants I was sent home to belfast every year. Never knew where the folks got the money but made sure I went and this reminds me of my aunts house in belfast. Brings a tear to me eye my great grandfather fought in 16 under ol dev
first off even those who don't identify with the irish republican point of view still acknowledge an accept the long shared irish/gaelic heritage of the island. Scotts don't say "I am from Great Britian" or "I am from the UK" they say they are from Scotland and will tell you they are Scottish just as would a Welshman.
God bless my fellow irish family that has passed I'm truly blessed to come from pure hearted irish heritage someday I'll make it to see a place called home in many of my family's hearts ... I hope that day may be coming soon ...
Right there is the Ireland we should all experience and aspire to be a part of. Switch off the big TVs and thumping crappy music. A night in a good Irish bar is as good as college course.
Say we've failed From our school days, they have told us we must yearn for liberty Yet, all I want in this dark place is to have you here with me Oh, Grace, just hold me in your arms and let this moment linger They'll take me out at dawn and I will die With all my love, I’ll place this wedding ring upon your finger No there won't be time to share our love for we must say good-bye Now, I know it's hard for you, my love, to ever understand The love I bear for these brave men, my love for this brave land But when Pádhraic called me to his side down in the G.P.O. I had to leave my own sick bed, to him I had to go Oh, Grace, just hold me in your arms and let this moment linger They'll take me out at dawn and I will die With all my love, I’ll place this wedding ring upon your finger No there won't be time to share our love for we must say good-bye No there won't be time to share our love for we must say good-bye.
Such a pity this type of moment is dying away ,this once happened in every pub in Ireland but unfortunately our culture and identity is being diluted so quick moments like this will only be memories
Is ireland really small ?? I am looking for someone please can someone help me ?? I am from malta I met this Guy in malta he has working on a ridley scott movie
This song is called Grace. It tells the story of Joeseph Plunkett who marries his love the night before he is executed by the British forces in Ireland for his part in The 1916 Rising.
If he was singing for shite he’d never get a smell - you can’t imitate these powerful heartfelt songs - leave them to the past or find someone with a past - ALL THE BEST
Love the fact its a young man singing it, make sure these songs dont get lost!
No as long as im alive
God, I absolutely love how nobody told him to stop. He truly has a youthfully gorgeous voice

If from Belfast then you're British, or at the very least Northern Irish. Not Irish.

To translate for non Irish decent, we get quiet and don’t move when we are happy. I hope this explains our singing and lovemaking 😉
