This was a much tougher translation than Turnabout Teleportation, be prepared to read fast and hear lots of word play. This was translated from Chinese subs to English subs, so let me know if there's any error in what I wrote!
English names were used for the characters we know, and left as Japanese for the original characters in this play

hello! Native Japanese speaker here. Medatanai actually means “doesn’t stand out” and they named him that for the irony. “To stand out” would actually be “medatsu”. Hope this helped!

I LOVE THE FACT THAT EDGEWORTH'S BOW IS THE SAME AS THE GAME
SERIOUSLY THEY PAID SO MUCH ATENTION TO THE MINIMAL DETAILS IN THIS STAGE PLAY, LIKE EVERYTHING IS SO WELL DONE
I loved how even "out of character" their interactions seemed semi-canon, like the light banter starting at 1:57:33 between the Phoenix and Edgeworth actors, and Edgeworth's end bow mirroring his game sprite. Breakdancing Gumshoe will forever be iconic. Also the "Naruhodo" puns had me rolling even though they're the only Japanese I understand lmao

The part during the curtain call really warmed my heart. It easy to tell when a cast has good chemistry when you see them on stage, but even easier when you see them being themselves. These lot are a bunch of cuties, lil soft goofballs I love them
I've been reading the comments recently and some of you are wondering if I'll translate the other stageplays so here's an explanation of sorts!
There are currently 4 Ace Attorney stageplays in existence:
Turnabout Spotlight, Farewell My Turnabout, Turnabout Teleportation and Turnabout GOLD MEDAL.
I have done Spotlight and Teleportation so far, and I know someone who's working on Farewell My Turnabout right now, so let's be patient and it'll appear when it does! I'll link it in this comment when it's uploaded.
Turnabout GOLD MEDAL (yes it's stylised like that) is the most recent one, I have watched it and I would like to clip some moments, but I don't have the energy to do a full translation right now. If anyone wants to do it they're more than welcome to!
Also sorry but I don't take translation requests! This is just something I do when I get artblocked apparently, plus it's kinda weird when I rely on someone else to sub it into Chinese first. Maybe one day when my grasp of Japanese is good enough to let me understand without needing subs haha

Odd that this was recommended to me at 6am, but while I have very little knowledge and experience with AA, I am interested in it since it crossed over with Layton. So I'm slowly getting into it, even though I'm about a decade behind.
I notice the Wiki doesn't mention anything of these plays, so do I assume they're amateur productions or more professional?
Either way this is cool and I'll keep an eye out for the others!
I also have yet to see the film so I guess I'm diving into this rabbit hole tomorrow!

This is a really small detail, but I really like that they show the scene transitions. Some videos cut that stuff out, or put something over it, but I like seeing everyone move the set pieces and stuff. That may just be because I was a huge theatre nerd in high school but still
