  • Hello and welcome back to the SC classics CZcams channel
    First of all i want to apologise for the missing content in this video, this is the second time this has happened recently and its really starting to bug me and I'm sure you too.
    Any way what you missed was me re-fitting the new lowering blocks/u bolts and shocker base plates so not much but still not ideal.
    The owner of this lovely 1980 mk2 rs2000 contacted me wanted his escort lowering and also sent me images of other rs2000's sitting the way he wanted his car to sit,thankfully hes over the moon with its new stance and i personally love it but i do favour modifed rs2000's over standard(just my opinion)
    Hopefully the next video will be complete and not missing any content.#rs#mk2#escort#rs2000

      Filling the catch tank was a boo boo and the owner held his hands up and admitted his mistake but lowering it,I personally agree with the owner. I think it looks a lot better lowered

      Sadly I hear stories like this far too often😢my first car was a mk2 escort,bought it out of a scrap yard for £40 when I was 15. 2 door silver 1.3 ghia ziebarted from new so was completely rust free. Fitted a 2.0 pinto,5 speed box along with lots of other mods and painted it white and then decided I wanted a mk3 escort so scraped the mk2 and bought a S1 rs turbo replica which turned out to be a complete rot box😒

    I had a modified RS2000 droop snoot for a couple of years in the early 2000s. Group1 spec 2.1 pinto on twin 44IDF carbs, type 9 5 speed box, single rear leafs, rear discs, 6 point cage, bucket seats & harnesses.
    Unfortunately it was rotten from the base of the pillars down. Only the boot, bonnet, doors & front wings were usable. Back before there were so many good new panels/new shells available.
    I sold it because I didn't have the space at the time to keep it.
    XBE 5V, if anyone knows its whereabouts, or it it even still exists.

      Have you tried doing an mot or tax check on the registration?

    I'd put it on 40s more road friendly 🤔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

      I think the 40’s might be a bit small for a 2.1 pinto,I’m no expert on carbs but it seemed quite happy on the road on 45’s

    Are the single leaf springs de cambered ?

      @SCClassics2022  Před 4 měsíci

      No I believe they’re standard single leafs

      @@SCClassics2022Multi leaves were standard on the RS2000.
