I had a FBO 18 Focus ST and loved that car. Nice to see Ford put that 2.3 in the ST. Really a shame we don't get these in the states, I think they would still sell but muh SUV and pickups.
This is so backwards, Ford not selling these hatchbacks in the States is like VW not selling the GTI in Germany.
The Focus is a Ford of Europe product though.
Considering the st hatches we got here were the third gen focus st and rs and i think the gen 2 fiesta st. Most fast fords are european we only really had the mustang
Also the seirra cosworths and the escort cossies and the mondeo st200/220 all euro models while the taurus sho and svt contour were similair thay still werent as fast
We need this car in the states, I had the Fiesta St and loved that car. We here in the states need to write Jim Farley and let him know there are still people who want a turbo 4 that’s not a mustang…..

Change the piping to the turbo and exhaust. Get a proper intake and higher coils. It really wakes it up

Why is the presenter rushing when talking? Not very clear
Pulling the plug on hatchbacks by Ford is so sad. I reside in Southern Africa and the ST has a huge following here especially in South Africa. The latest Focus ST and focus for that matter are no longer sold here. Therefore Ford guys are jumping ship in favour of VW, Hyundai and those who are growing up are going for BMW and Audi for example.

I wish we got these in the states! I love my 2016 st but just knowing that it will continue to age and i can never upgrade to a newer model is sad to think about.

Every time he mentions wheels and suspension and how better it was he hit a hole or a large bump.
Good points made, feedback - speak a bit slower, clearer, a bit more tonal variation....it takes a bit too much concentration to follow what you are saying (even as a petrol head) as compared to Nicola, Rory Green, etc

Of course, we can't get these in the US because almost everybody here has to drive a pickup truck, crossover or SUV to bully others and boost their egos. It's f'in annoying.

Already discontinued according to some journalists. The "Ultime" series is probably sold out now.
Keeps referring to the CTR, but a CTR is an equivalent to an RS?? Also got a 10 to 15k price difference.
An ST is the equivalent to a GTi or a Leon Cupra or Skoda VRS.

Really poor review with the bulk rambling on about the track pack, plus its badly edited with the engine noise clearly accelerating, whilst the video shows you changing down to 2nd.
How about a review which just says how it drives as a daily, the quality of the paint & interior, rather than the reviewer clearly just trying to look like a good driver?!?!

Comparisons to the Honda are moot when there's 10k between them brand new, and the Type-R will make you look like a bit of a pleb if you're over the age of 35.
10% lighter rims, new tires, improved suspension.
Nothing a good neighborhood garage can't do.
On the other hand, engine, gearbox and steering from a tractor.

your wrong about the quality off the interior , okay ist not a bmw like quality , but if you compare the ford with the honda and the golf , there just on the same level , golf isnt what it once whas , honda is very good build , but also uses cheap plastic on the inside , ford has decent quality dash, steeringwheel, centerconsole , and some cheaper plastics , but whats cheap with ford is most of the time in a black colour witch looks better than the golf grey styl plastics
also the engine and gearbox are amazing , just the same for how the steering feels , the problem is , people need to learn how to drive those cars , you have to learn the feeling , and thats different compared to the golf,cause it comes in auto...gearbox

electric engines are the dinosaurs, it's an older technology, with no future. They are just crap performance wise, why do you think F1 is not electric? EV should be used only for commuting in large cities, people shouldn't be forced to buy a less effective and more expensive technology.
