    Picked one up in auction myself, and since it runs good enough and after seeing part 1/2 completely I realise I don't have the tools to do the motor overhaul & set them myself, guess outside cleaning will have to do.
    Granted mine is not missing any covers and seems to have been well maintained.

As soon as I get a chance I will make one and upload it. Sorry I can't be more specific🤝

      @@TheKeenMechanic the one chainsaw had a knackered engine, and the other one leaked bar oil from under the chain tensioner somewhere. There must be a crack in the chassis because when I removed the tensioner bar oil flowed from the oil port, but when I reinstalled the tensioner there was as much oil coming from under the tensioner as there was the oil port ! Lol .

    did you replace the piston rings? what did you do to the cylinder to regain compression?

    • @TheKeenMechanic
      @TheKeenMechanic  Před 4 lety

      Hi
      Everything I did was shown in the video exactly as I did it. I used the old piston rings. The one thing I guess that helped to restore the compression was to re-seal the engine sump. I didn't even replace the crankshaft seals. Just cleaned everything well and re-sealed. I guess I was lucky, but I wanted to see if it was possible to do it withing my £50 budget. Thanks for your comment
