Once upon a time, Mathura was an important Metre gauge Railway station. With trains to UP and Bihar passing through Mathura. All other lines have been converted to Broad Gauge, but somehow the line to Vrindavan was left out. The good thing is that the line was not closed down and railways instead ran a railbus. In TN unfortunately, Mayiladuthurai-Tarangambadi line was closed down.

Lord Krishna was living in Mathura . In his boyhood he was a cowherd, minding cows whole day. That is the reason everyone in Mathura-Brindavan region consider cows as holy beings. They will put every effort to protect the cows. So the railbus stops to allow cows to cross first. The tribe to which Lord Krishna belonged were mainly dairy farmers. The area is named VRAJ, BRAJ or BRIJ. Hence the most famous dairy in Mumbai is called BRIJWASI meaning someone who lived in BRIJ. In Tamil Nadu we refer to BRIJWASI as Yadavas.

Bro one more rail bus is there in india it is in Kakinada Andhrapradesh . Before covid it used to run between kakinada to kotipalli which is covering distance of 35 km

Very small Rail bus was operated only between Shimoga and Talguppa in Karnataka...In TN same Rail-Bus like in this video was operated between Thiruthuraipoondi to Kodiakkarai...I posted about the above two rail buses in my channel

Rail Bus, manufactured by BEML Ltd, Bangalore, was run not Marikuppam-Bangarapet but from Bangarapet to Kolar. This blue-white rail bus service has been stopped and DEMU trains are running now. Even a service from Kolar to Bangalore via Bangarapet is there.
Train going in market is at Thailand..
instead of all buses., we can just., lay tracks. in road itself., and operate in all highways., the same buses. in all states., cost will be cheap.
