In this scene I would have liked to see a short fight between Maggie and shawrelle after the mockery that he received, shawrelle pushes Maggie and tell her to be careful what she says, Maggie says to him to settle this matter in the ring, but shawrelle says, “I don’t like to hurt little girls” so Maggie responds to him “what’s the matter? are you afraid a little girl makes you kiss the floor” or something similar, he accepts so both are in the ring wearing their gloves and the fight begins, shawrelle’s friends are cheering him up, Maggie and shawrelle throw and dodge shoots, in a moment Maggie got distracted looking at Frankie and shawrelle take advantage to connect her a belly punch, Maggie falls on her knees because of the pain and after everyone starts to making fun of her, Maggie motivated gets up and the fight continues, this time Maggie dodges all shoots that shawrelle throws her and after moment she achieves to connect him a belly punch and after a punch face knocking him and danger starts to mocking him again, and this would explain why he tortures him later in the movie
Good editing! If I had no idea about creativeness and was like most of the industry copying other movies, then I would have thought hey lines are missing. Instead of understanding, wow this is actually more interesting this way, it makes me excited for what's happening instead of telegraphing it. Good job, I enjoyed your version!
A guy like this would never discern potential in a female boxer though, that part is unrealistic. Female boxers are measured on a pretty freaking significant curve, and only if you recognize that could you discern potential in one. If your only point of reference was male Boxing they would all suck badly to you.
Clint's still in amazing shape. I really wish we woulda gotten one more Dirty Harry (I still think he could but he has 2 more years to pull it off, max. Harry will be retired. It could revolve around some nasty 40-something he put away right before he retired coming after him as well as it being a drama as how he handles growing "old and useless" losing his aim, etc.) As for this scene itself, I had no fucking idea what was going on because of the way it was cut, lol :P
As good as this movie was, I fail to see what boxing has to do with being a ballerina. Those are two different professions with completely different methods of training.
