Congratulations, you’ve invented trackmania!
Jokes aside, wonderful video and fascinating project. Congratulations :)
Haha, thanks Evan!
Man just gonna say this lmao
I am completely and utterly blown away with the quality of the game and the video editing. You are a truly talented creator. I am subscribing. Keep up the amazing work and games.
Thanks Aidan! I appreciate the support!
GRIP Combat Racing is pretty fun, it has weapons, shortcuts, alternative routes and you can get some crazy speeds there too
Will def have to check it out!
@@matthizzone While you're at it, there's also BallisticNG.
It's basically one developer's big wet perfume-scented love letter to the original Wipeout trilogy.
Improves upon everything that made the PS1 series of Classics an absolute goldmine of racing, and adds more on top of that.
The game's biggest highlight has to be it's modding support.
There's nothing you can't mod in this game, and people've done some amazing things with it.
Give it some attention. More of the world needs to remember what made Sony's answer to F-Zero ahead of the curve.
I look forward to these videos so much, love all the new games you make
Thanks kebob! :P
Another masterclass in Computer Literacy and Technical Expertise just dropped
Grab your pencil! Test next week
Dude literally i didn't see the subscribers i just clicked on the vid and the editing was so good like when the video ended and i saw the subscribers i was like no way this is so low i was like this guy gotta have 1 mil or something while watching but amazing content keep it comin... Stay hard
Thanks! Will do Mr. Goggins 💪
@@matthizzone hell yeaaa
yet another Matt Artizzone Hood Classic
This is really good. Because of the quality I thought you had 384K subs not just 384. Make that 385 subs and one thing that'd improve the viewing experience is to lower the volume of the background music a bit (competed too much with your voiceover). Other than that, good stuff!
Thanks for the tip! Will keep that in mind for the next one
You deserve wayy more subs with this quality, nice vid
Thanks Tobias!
Absolutely love the game concept, and I think it’s really cool! Also the humor in your editing and in general is amazing, and I really liked the video. Keep it up man.
Thanks, Anapaula!
This was very interesting to watch, keep making more and you will make your place among the seemingly infinite game development YT channels. You earned a sub!
(Here at 430 subs future me)
pretty damn good
Thanks Nikolo!
one of the few underated youtubers
what a good video man fr ❤
HOLY ****** I JUST RAN INTO THE MOST FUN GAME EVER
Incredible... I'm glad you're grabbing more people's attention!!!!
Thanks Kev!
Dude this video is awesome, I thought it had like 400k views or something, the editing is awesome and fun to watch!
Thanks a ton!
Excellent video! We need more arcade racers!
Thanks Steven!
That porsche model is literally so popular
Super nice video, the game looks fun. Maybe add an indicator that shows you when you are going the wrong way
That's a great idea, thanks, Illuminum!
Holy wtf, i thought i was watching a youtuber with 10k subs, the quality here is amazing man, youre too underrated honestly
Thanks so much!
fire game idea. it will be on roblox in 32 days.
Your so underatted its actually unbelievable
This video is surprisingly fun xD nice one
Thanks Jdcp!
I genuinely cannot believe you have just 288 subscribers
Don't know how i found you but glad i did! Take a sub
Thanks Tom!
Nice work!
Thanks Isaac!
Rigde Races, Split Second, Dirt5, Motorstorm
Bro doesn't know the burnout (and cruis'n saga)
I'm new to the game development genre, and for my first racing game I'm trying to somewhat remake a cult classic AG racer in unity. Your video gives me motivation!
Go for it!
have you forgotten about the other racing games, I know like a few racing games that would actually encourage you to find shortcuts and that is the crew series
it's so cool! wish there were more cars!
Looks really fun, but just a suggestion, improving the camera always makes car games more immersive, like letting the car turn so you see the side of it before the camera turns (just a little bit) and zooming out the faster you go like with boost
Rather than zooming out, increasing FoV as your car goes faster is a classic sense of speed improver (zooming out the camera just make the player feel even more detached from the in-game car, I won't recommend). Just don't get overboard with it like Night Runners though...
@@shira_yone I do agree, but in my opinion, zooming out for short bursts with boosts does make it feel faster, as how you feel like your car is so fast it's getting away from you, I think it would work well for this as how it's an arcade type game. For me it makes it feels more immersive because I don't feel like I'm the camera, I feel like I'm the car speeding away from the camera. But I understand
@@wolfcub8596 zooming out for a bit in the initial boost but slowly make the camera move closer towards the car is quite effective now that I think about it (the Turbo in Hot Pursuit 2010 is like this combined with the increased FoV). I just don't like it when the zoom out is constant throughout the boost.
@@shira_yone yeah that's what I meant, Thanks for understanding
amazing video, dude! i tried the game and while i couldn't really play it properly (it doesn't seem to support keyboard, and the only controller i have is from the early 2000s and has the buttons mapped all wrong) i can tell you it does work on wine under linux, if that's something you wanted to know
Wow that's dedication! Yeah I rushed this game out so I was too lazy to add keyboard support, but if enough people want it I may add it in the future. Thanks for letting me know about the linux thing!
GREAT VID
Thanks Sam!
this is an awesome video
Thanks Michael!
Trackmania if the car could jump
everyone stop whatever you are doing, matthizzone just uploaded a new video
MrSprin, you are now the official hype man of the channel
i think the idea can be exapnded more thoroughly
that music goes too hard
This looks really cool! Can we expect an android release?
*Midnight Club and Need For Speed:* Am I joke to you?
trackmania moment
Tutorial on how to make the music!
alright next one, create a racing games that's as fun as asphalt 9
brother please add multiplayer this would be such a great game to play with the homies on a discord call
This game is better than it has any right to be
As of this comment 123 subs and I being number 123, I hope CZcams goes well for you mate awesome content
Thanks Number 123!
The game looks like a ton of fun! By the way, what's the name of the font you used for the game?
Thanks Snoozy! The font is called FOT New Rodin Pro, I use it in pretty much everything I make
You just made Zeepkist with an accelerate button. Or Trackmania with simplified graphics. Either way, that's kind of impressive but probably check out those games for more complete experiences.
In this video you also used the music from one of my favorite series: Ridge Racer. To this day, I have never found a more enjoyable racing game than Ridge Racer Type 4 on the PS1. Screw Gran Turismo and Forza, racing simulations don't make fun games.
You gotta add gears
Can you make a touge racing game (for free and also for Android and IOS) with the same graphics, sounds and song like shortcut racing, please I really love to see how it will turn out.
Here is my list:
-Tunable cars(including openable hood, doors and trunk)(with specs)
-Tuning parts(basically like GT advance 1,2 and 3 on GBA)
-Easy to drive/drift physics
-And a proper handiling setting
You should mix the atmosphere of GRID (2008) and gameplay from Blur and Ridge Racers. Trust me it'll be fun.
Interesting idea!
Bro why'd you use an Indian classical song at 2:00 😭😭 but fr drop the name of it 'twas catchy
please drop that main menu track
Check desc
@@matthizzonethank you, that is popping off my dude
Jazz
trackmania but the budget is 39 bucks
Highly accurate! XD
add Multiplayer!
try the game Zeepkist
lol
The only fun racing games are Carmageddon 1 and 2.
LOL
now make this game in unreal
amazing project and great video but
its porsche not porsh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whoops😅 clearly I am not a car expert
its over for forza and gran turismo
Racing games like Mario Kart are just boring. Racing is all about getting that top speed, learning the best lines and beating the opponents. Nothing beats Sim Racing games in the Racing Genre
I agree but it's all subjective man
Now thats something sim racers and big companies nowadays will never understand. Not that I hate sim racing, its just, if you wanna drive real, do it in real life. Now I know thats to test the dream car you want, get in some in e-sports action and win sum money. Not bad at all, the best part is that you wont get hurt IRL. The problem isnt sim-racing itself, but there's no variety anymore.
unrelated to your comment but your pfp looks like the black mesa logo
I agree, and I feel that way about many aspects of modern gaming. I'd pick fantastical nonsense over realism any day!
@@ARandomOSDever How da frick you see black mesa in this do I look like a mountain lol
Absolutely nothing in this game, is new or original, there's already a whole bunch of racing games that would allow you to take shortcuts, Asphalt, being one that springs to mind right away, because it also allows you to use pow-ups. Racing games like Gran Turismo, are meant for people who like racing, not for goofing around the map, they don't include pow-ups, ramps, and shortcuts, because they are meant to be played as of you were, well, racing, and even so, ask any Gran Turismo player about "Yeet corner", and you'll learn that, yes, you can, very much indeed, take shortcuts...
Racing games are already fun. You say it’s all about the racing line. It’s possible to not follow the line and go quicker, than a noob following the perfect line. A good driver uses brakes to give the car oversteer and gas pedal to turn on exit.
@@KamerKazanci-wj2ou oversteer doesn't make you go faster, rotation does, which leads me to understand why you don't enjoy racing games: you just don't understand them. And I didn't say it's all about the racing line, as a matter of fact, I hinted the fact that racing game players, also end up goofing around racetracks, eventually, but at the end of the day, it's still a racing game, and racing requires driving in a certain way.
I think of the video more of a commedy than anything, not to be taken seriously.
Your right sure but the video is pretty fun and shows a lot of cool programming stuff.
