I'd love to see more color inspiration videos. Your color expertise is one of the first things that draws me to your patterns. I'm one of those that thinks when you are spending so much time and money on something, it needs to go with everything. This mindset is severely limiting and makes color very intimidating, and yet when I am brave and do something outside of neutral, I always receive lots of compliments and feel very satisfied. Thank you for sharing your thought process.
I feel that so much!!! I am so careful with adding things to my wardrobe - I don't go wild on my clothes at all. Socks are really where I let loose and go for it with color!

Absolutely! I have a trick for knitting in my ends as I go that makes it super easy! I'll do a tutorial on that for sure. Steven West knits in his ends too - I think if you search "weaving Steven" here on CZcams you'll find his tutorial!

Excellent! Yes Please to more color combinations! Blues are my favorites and I have a grandson particular to blues/browns and a granddaughter who grooves on pinks/purples. Dear Husband and other men in my family are into the dark neutrals, dark grey, dark green, olive drab green, dark brown and black.
Man, Your designs really opened up my eyes to color usage. I absolutely love bright, saturated colors, but my brain would have never paired them with pastels or lighter neutrals. As someone who can't wear light colors, I must have discounted them for all other purposes, too. They actually make my favorite shades look all the more amazing.
I absolutely bought your book for the pictures. If you evere feel like putting out another one thats just pretty pics of finished projects, I'd be all over it.

I could watch you play with color combinations all day! I work in a yarn store and I love coming up with combos. I especially like setting a limit, i.e a 2, 3 or 4 color combo and play in those perameters it helps me come up with good combos. Please do more of these! Thank you🌈
It's honestly my favorite part of the design process! And agreed - working with 2-4 and changing one or two colors in or out is so fun!

I used to cut out pictures in magazines when I saw a color combo I liked. Now there are not so many physical magazines, but you can watch for colors on line or in junk mail. They have a vested interest in catching your eye. Note to self: orange and cobalt blue.
I want MORE of these. Maybe even seasonal versions or like KALs for them!
I’m absolutely loving these videos!! As a beginner knitter I’d like to see a video on how to drop rows of stitches. Like if someone, I don’t know who, is trying to learn how to do their first heel flap and totally flopped on the flap and needs to start again! 😅

Yes, more colour videos! I don’t know why but I have a really hard time identifying if some colours are warm or cool toned (mostly in the blues, greens, and neutrals)

This was fun even if we mostly don't have the same tastes regarding colors 😂 Your socks look wonderful but these are mostly color combos I wouldn't wear (except for neutral + neons and the blues + gold).
BUT I must say this video was still helpful. I often spend way too much time wondering if my choice of colors for a pair of socks (yes, come on!) will look good in the eyes of other people. I like the combo I see but I keep wondering if I could do better or if someone won't like it. So it reminded me that we don't all have the same tastes and it's perfectly fine! The important thing is that we have fun with our own color combos. And yes, I'd totally watch more videos like this one! It's really interesting to see what other people come up with. I love that.

I just have to tell you…. Now, because of you, every time I watch All Creatures Great and Small - I see all the knits!!! Very helpful! I just received the yarn for a monthly sock club I joined and there were three colors I would have never put together (dusky purple, brownish gold, bright light blue). Your thoughts on mixing colors and using patterns to highlight certain colors and tone down others helped me chill out about working with the combo I was given. 😅

I vote for more videos like this! You do such a great job combining colors, your patterns are always so striking, I think in large part due to how whimsical and satisfying your color palettes are. And I find I always have a hell of time trying to put colors together and it's part of knitting that has always been a little daunting to me. This was so informative and motivating!

Good Day Summer, I have enjoyed these videos so glad you are doing them. I have been a fan for a while . My questions are: 1. I have noticed that you prefer 2x2 rib for cuffs have you done folded cuffs ; peek a boo cuffs. What is your favorite ? 2. What is your favorite heel? I just purchased your sailor pattern set and i am on the second sock of the scattered pearls which has the peasant heel. I was going to replace and do the shadow wrap heel but I decided to learn something new and went with the peasant heel “Loved it” I do see myself doing more of this heel you did a great job explaining /video of the construction of it. 3. Finally toe construct rounded? Oh I do have another question what are your thoughts of toe up? Do you prefer cuff down? Thank you and continue to create wonderful socks! ❤

thanks for these colour combo ideas! i think this will really help me trying to knit from stash this year. purple and green is my favourite colour combo. i really like your idea to pair a netural with a neon. i think for me it makes the neon a lot more wearable.
