Miranox Actually most people just don't realise that there is a huge difference between a real hacker (who is at least a very good programmer to begin with) and just some kid who downloaded a ready-to-use software like save editor.
Its a matter of semantics. You dont have to be a hacker to be a cheater but you have to be a cheater to be a hacker.

even with soul duping soul of gwyn, don't remember in game name, which nets 20k per use, most efficient way to get souls, that involves 50k dupes, no one has that much patience and that doesn't even matter for high level pvp kills grant like a few hundred thousand souls

I was invaded a month or so ago by a hacker, didn't take damage, me and a friend managed to kick him into the Chasm of the Abyss (well actually just down a ledge you can't possibly survive a fall)
There was no message "Invader Banished" so i looked down there and saw the Effect of the Black Seperation Crystal :3
So there are hackers that can't even be killed with Gravity.

To be honest, either giftwraith or infinte health is bad.
Giftwraiths make something that save you so much time, for the impatient ones might be good, but those are reminded when you get something easily you dont think is worthy anymore. I got from this guy who gave me 99 titante slabs and I was happy about it, but it was nothing to compete I got slabs by my own. Everytime I look at my Elite Armor Set +10 and my Great Scythe +15, it just feel everything is so cool, because I put my hard work at harvesting Darkwraith for a few days, all the work I had done is just so amazing, feels just like the first time I beat the Taraus Demon! So believe it or not, giftwraith just helps you into the quick way, but I ensure that there would never better than harvesting the material by your own!
Now, about infinte health, I must suggest we should feel bad for them. They afraid, they refuse, they couldnt take the pressure of the mighty Dark Souls, so they think hacking is such an awesome thing they do. Heh, but they dont know they are doing something that true Dark Souls knights will never approved, because, brutally, they are such a pussy.... I ask many of them, why do you play Dark Souls? Most of them answer the same excuses: this game is hard, none of your business, a hacker killed me so would I, wants to make kiddo angry, blah blah blah...What a cliche. Or maybe I should just ask them a better question, why do you play Dark Souls at the first time?
If they have never taste the lost of Dark Souls, either lost all their souls and humanity or killed by a hacker, they wont be hacking, at all. So here they are, they are too weak to accept something. And that's what I have been saying, show some sympathy for them, they are just a little pussy.
Nobody cares if a hacker is a MLG pro, since the day they hacked, they have already lost their sport spirit. For those who argue anything for your own sake, you have been gone hollow. How so innocent, yet foolish.

I love how they realized that Dark Souls was gonna get hacked, and made it so fall damage couldn't be turned off or negated even through hacking. xD

He's awesome, he has a LP channel called...well... msfactualplays obviously. He doesn't have much on there but there's a LP of The Last of Us and I believe he started a co-op NG+ with the other guy in the video (Scott Jund) who also has a CZcams channel with some lets plays. I thinkit's called DamnNoHTML though he might have changed it. You can usually catch them on twitch.tv/cryaotic on a Saturday Night and there's some archieved Dark Souls footage on their as well. I'm guessing by the fact that they posted this that he may also have started his own twitch channel.

the first time i got invaded instead of killing me the guy gave me 99 lost hero souls and some +10 gear then left i told my buddy about it later and he said it was a hacker but i dont care the dude helped me out.

It's a neat idea, but people are still going to discriminate for it. "Counter-cheating" is a picky subject. While it does seem to be more effective at getting a message across than simply kicking them over the nearest cliff, you have to think about how many legitimate players you're going to come across on your Cheat-hunting.

Gorilladin Maybe some [dedicated] members of the community should begin an unofficial "Counter-cheating" covenant. Solely for the purpose of finding modders, and ruining the game for them. Hopefully convincing them to stop their shit in the process. Sort of like a far more OP Darkmoon, ja?
