    Theo Rossi recently wrapped shooting Zach Snyder’s Netflix feature ARMY OF THE DEAD with Dave Bautista and the lead role in the independent feature DEAR ZOE directed by Gren Wells. Theo played the fan favorite role of ‘Shades’ for two seasons on the hit Marvel Netflix series LUKE CAGE opposite Mike Colter and Alfre Woodard. Theo can most recently be seen in the independent feature VAULT starring opposite Samira Wiley and Clive Standen. Previously, Theo was seen in the highly anticipated Imagine / Telemundo feature LOWRIDERS opposite Demian Birchir, in theaters May 2017. Theo grew a large fan base as one of the stars of the hit FX series SONS OF ANARCHY, where he starred opposite Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman as the series bad ass 'Juan Carlos Juice Ortiz'. SONS was the highest rated show on FX with over 10 million viewers a week with playback last season. In 2015, Theo also produced his first film with Emma Tillinger the independent feature BAD HURT which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival.

    I love how Juice and Tig's characters totally did a 180 from the pilot to the series finale. Juice was the goofy tech genius to being one of the most complex characters of the show. Tig went from one of the most despised characters to being one of the most loveable characters by the end.

    I seriously like how much respect they have for one another while talking, you can tell they really did turn into family while filming. Neither is trying to one up the other or disrespectful or anything. It's literally nothing but love and like that foreal. You know how some people's ego's get in the way of things, with these 2 It's definitely not the case. I love both of them as actors, as humans and I hope nothing but the best for them moving forward and their families.

    I'm so happy I found this. I started watching Sons of Anarchy back when I was in the military and fell in love with it. It was an escape when I needed it the most. To get to what Theo's talking about at 37:52 about how confident Kurt is in his writing, he's also being confident in his audience and not insulting our intelligence by spelling every little thing out. A lot of the hints he drops, you just pick up subconsciously or it comes to you later on and you go, "Oh, that's what he was getting at. How brilliant." It's rare that writers and show runners trust their audiences that much.

    • @ashleyvaughn7848
      @ashleyvaughn7848 Před 3 lety +2

      I agree! I love that element in a writer, a lot of shows now are sort of this pandering crap, spelling everything out because they're afraid of trusting the audience and letting us figure things out. I really miss the shows from the 2010-ish era that would come on TV once a week, and the audience who had to wait a week to have their questions answered. There was an anticipation and a suspensefulness to the art that isn't as present in TV shows today, with things like Netflix and Hulu. I wish sometimes that we could go back to that time. I remember as a kid being so excited for my favorite shows to come on every week (like Malcolm in the Middle and Whose Line Is It Anyway) and I would rush through dinner and dishes to watch them. Everything today is so automatic and instant. I miss the anticipation.

    I'm late, but I just binged SOA the last two weeks or so, today I watched the last episode.
    Tig is by far my favourite charakter, so brillantly brought to live by Kim Coates. At first I was taken aback by Tig's violent freakshow, but the more I watched, the more he unfolded and let us see the loyal guy who'd do everything for his brothers, so often torn by what he had to do. In some way he had his heart at the right place... mostly.
    *SPOILERS AHEAD*!!
    Dawn's Death crushed me, especially the way she died, Mr. Coates's performance, showing Tig's suffering made me cry like a baby... I just called my dad rigth after that scene, told him I love him. It was like 2:00am and he was confused but I just had to do that lol.
    The Episode with the dog fighting crushed me too, I hugged my dog trough the whole episode, the way Tig reacted to the scenario just made me love the charakter even more.
    And I really loved Walton Goggins performance as Venus, I had watched Justified a few months back and I was a little surprised when Venus first appeared, to say the least, but I loved her.
    All in all I hated (because of their actions, each and everyone was amazingly acted) and loved all the charakters, been amazed by all these talented actors and actresses

    Hey Theo and Kim! Loving this convo! Wanted to point out something ... the crows eating the dove on the first scene, and in the last scene of series finale - eating the bread (same bread that homeless woman is eating with her wine earlier in that episode) .... Kurt always said, make of her what you want ... but a dove, bread, wine, then Jax's blood as he sacrifices himself for his sons ... sound familiar? So damn poetic.

    I only knew Mr Rossi from Cloverfield and Luke Cage and Mr Coats from Black Hawk Down but I have just finished the final episode of SOA's season 7 this morning. Wonderful show and a fantastic podcast with our two former SAMCRO members coming across as among the nicest, insightful and riveting actors I have ever made the effort to listen to, with the most special aspect being that, WITH the maximum amount of humility and objectivity none the less, they both come across as huge fans of the show. I will be straight onto the next episode and regardless of future guests, while of course most welcome, I hope that Mr Rossi and Coats can keep this going as long as is possible. The deep dive discussions are of course a dream for fans and having these two wonderful actors take such a task on is true gift.

I also got to meet Tig and Bobby here in Boston around 2010 or 11 cant remember the exact year. I have pictures with both of them Tig had this weird look on his face and pointing his finger at something lol. Bobby was cool. I asked him to autograph a photo I bought.
