Hearing Kim over the years speak about his life and his career, has always involved his life with SONS as well, so this was awesome to watch!! Kim is such a good story teller, great episode love it. Blackhawk down is such a great movie and Kim was awesome in it. SOA one of the best shows on TV ever.

I honestly watch SOA Every day without a word of a lie . It's my comfort series. I went out and bought the whole 7 seasons and never get tired of watching it . Best Series Ever ! 👌

Another great podcast. Katie's such a great person, but after watching SOA multiple times I've come to realize that Gemma, inadvertently, is one of the greatest villains in TV history. She caused so much death and heartache. Granted, she was directly responsible for Tara's death, but so many other characters died because of her constant meddling. It's almost like she couldn't help it. She was always meddling in everything, even when she was directly told to stay out of it or "leave it alone".
The human factor is what makes conversations meaningful and memorable. Sharing a slice of pie with the much loved Kim Coates, engaging in heartfelt discussions, and not getting caught up for the "Gram"is refreshing. Here's to more meaningful conversations and connections, one slice of pie at a time!

I have watched SOA probably 7 times. Is that to many? I'm probably going to watch it again. I think I've watched Mayans 3 times. I'm addicted to SOA!

I've probably watched it twice as much all the way through. I watched it when it was on TV then got all 7 seasons on DVD and have watched it so many times I just wanna point out the more you watch the more you notice 😂

Just a fantastic interview! - Kurt and Katey were able to bring out the very best in Kim regarding family, Canada, acting, etc. I went to the same high school as Kim and for people to understand Kim's funny, considerate and genuine personality is very important. Kim does a lot of good for a lot of people and I'm sure that after watching this interview, people will understand why that is the case.

His mom used to work at Avalon Safeway now long gone, when I went to school across the street at John Lake. Kim's cousin went to school with me, too. He works or worked at Safeway. Not sure if he's now retired. Haven't seen him in 45 years. Nice family.

Reminds me of friends or family coming by for a visit and just chatting for a while. Can't wait for the next one!

Wow Kim Coates I actually also lived in Regina Saskatchewan for a year back in 2000 it was something different that's for sure 😄. Watched Kim Coates from way back in the day with The Client with Susan Sarandon. We all watch SOA as A Band during rehearsals and we are all huge fans 👍

SOA is one of the 3 shows me and my husband watch once a year among Sopranos and Homeland. Each of those shows require multiple watches to catch the brilliant writing. SOA with character development and storylines and Sopranos with symbolism.
Great interview
There's such a huge difference between guys like Kim Coates and the 'Hollywood' types. Just a regular straight-up fella having a regular great conversation. He's totally unaffected by fame & success. None of the fakeness and pretentious bullshit that encapsulates so many people in acting. Kind of guy it would be great to have a beer with.
Going back through SOA and season 5 has to be Kurt’s best work as an actor. I always looked forward to Otto, but season 5 he just ramped up the intensity. Can’t wait for The Abandons.
